I have been torn up/messed up in the head and heart since yesterday...and its not ended yet. Around 12 noon, right after I fed The Mother, Todd and I (he was doing some work on my 18 gal container cat houses) thought we heard dogs...then we were certain, and I (we) DASHED outside.

To get to the point of that - there were 3 small hunting dogs, which I was told were rabbit dogs. They were very friendly, but my precious Gimli-Benny had disappeared. The dogs rambled around my 2+ acres for several hours while I EVENTUALLY got hold of the dang Animal Control dispatcher...which would in turn "dispatch to AC". This was a ridiculously long process getting the dispatch number that I could go on about but let it suffice to say even the local shelter that I'm always saying is just GREAT  didn't even have the number. THAT PISSED ME OFF....

Well, about 3 hours after dispatch was notified AC actually appeared...as I'd asked...for these healthy rambling hunting dogs. But OF COURSE these smart dogs were gone like magic. poof.

So, I'm hunting, hunting, hunting Gimli-Benny all afternoon...nothing. I sit outside in the Not Warm weather for hours and hours last night, thinking I'd hear him, see him, something. It had been since about 11:30 since I'd seen him. I was certain the dogs hadn't hurt him, as there was no blood, no fur, no body, no nothing.

I'm hunting and hunting, calling and whistling and nothing.

This morning, before sunrise I woke up and I got warmly dressed asap, got my flashlight and boots and started again...I went to the back of the fence, where I first heard those baying dogs, and THERE! I heard Gimli's siren meow.

He was up in a tree at least 30 feet, in the first crotch and limbs on this tree. It is HUGE and there is another 20 or more like 30 feet above him. He is STILL up in the tree. This is the 2nd night he is up there and 12 noon today made at least 24 hours he's been up there. Just before I began typing this, I have already been back out there again...to I don't know what...to make sure he is there and idk. This is in heavy, awful woods with vines, huge briars on vines, and HUGE fallen trees that stick up so far you have to straddle them to get over them. With a hoe and lopper, I STILL had an awful time getting through there. There is absolutely no way a tree company could even get equipment (a bucket truck) in there...and unless Stephanie (his original person) or I were the ones on a 30 foot ladder, I do NOT think he would go to them. I'm afraid he would use the last of his energy to run further up that tree.

I know this may well be the wrong place to ask for prayer warriors to please pray for Gimli to figure how to get down...but if you do pray, please please pray for Gimli. Or send good vibes...that cannot hurt. I want my big footed baby back safe so bad I can't describe it.

I feel crazy and sad and I don't know what all. It just seems like such an impossible situation unless he will/can figure out how to get down. Its just awful. He is crying and hollering and I truly KNOW he wants down...he is just so scared. He is a big baby, spoiled and running everything inside and out...but apparently not how to climb down trees. Those dang rabbit dogs most probably treed him, and that was that.:cryingcat:

Thank you so much,@Pete's Draggin. Funny, right before I clicked over to your post (I got an alert - I watch the chat threads :) ) ... it came to me, he would get down.

I can't tell you how much what you say and think means to me. :)

    I pray we're both right.

Gimli misses you Lynn. He probably still thinks the rabbit dogs are down below him. I little longer, he's gonna get brave and come down.

We both love our furry fam Lynn.

Things you say and feel mean alot to me too....

We found a young cat high in one of our trees. He was there a few days. Hubby said he'd come down when it rained and he was right.

English cheese is the best.. so many varieties.. I even take cheese if I go away, because I get bored of the foreign stuff. I buy little bags of mini cheese.. I love cheese!

permits are needed for work over a period of time. nothing takes that long if the money is there. I dont hear any noise from them .. other than the tub they dropped 50 times last week. there was other outfits there too . a few different plumbing, heating and cooling .. And then I see them take out a water tank.. didnt the other dudes do that. what the hell? I dont have all day to watch them. but got a good idea that this is going on..
