    N'aww aren't you guys the sweetest. :)
It is more of a physical problem, I guess it gives me emo problems. We had to make a trip to the hospital I pinched a nerve right next to my spinal problems and ffs my whole left leg was just burning pain. They were able to give me a shot on the left of my spine as a relaxing medicine and it worked a little bit, it's better but I still have a nerve throb from my back to my foot.

I am just getting sick and tired of it now. My rheumatoid specialist says my back has turned chronic. They give me pills say "get some rest" rest! The more I rest the more it hurts! I lay for an hour, I get pains. A 4hr sleep? Agony. It is chronic agony, all I can do is take pain medicine and go into a docile state so I don't think about it. I don't think it actually numb my receptors to eleviate any pain.

How much is too much before they try something else with me?

Axe throwing tonight. Maybe I'll win some games. Some people practice a lot... I do not, lol. I just like throwing axes at shit. I might get really baked this time and see if I'm better or worse than usual.

is one vertebrae the problem or all of them?....for me l2...second from bottom...its not a vertabrae anymore...its a bone mass they had to build to replace the vertebrae and I have rods to support it above and below....less intrusive than it sounds...its a perma fix

this is great...reporter''maybe i'll get baked and do the news'' :)

Irmi, if you haven't tried acupuncture, you really need to give it a try. When my back has been in the worse of states, even though the pain pills would work to some degree...it was the acupuncture that made the pain go away. You really don't have anything to lose! Surely in Germany they would have an acupuncturist somewhere...and as racist as this may sound (but I don't mean it that way)...if you can find an Asian OR someone that trained under an Asian, they will be the best acupuncturists.

I found one here that was a fruitcake. Even though he studied under my favorite acupuncturist (who moved away), he decided to "make his own type of acupuncture"...which didn't even work long enough for me to walk out to the parking lot without pain. He said to "come back, if this doesn't work" - oh but no...I'm not that stupid. I kept looking and found another good one here.

I'll just incorporate all your responses into one response if I can.

I have an inflammation disease most noticable in my lowest vertebrae. There is no more padding, I would attach a copy of my xrays so you can see the black voidness of nothing but you don't need to see the inside of my vagina so no lol.

I have tried acupuncture and was impressed with what it can do but it isn't any good for the problem I have. Basically I have one solution. To stop inflammation from spreading. It is spreading slowly up my back. The reality is if it gets too bad my vertebrae will fuse and not move to cope with this, it will do doubt fuse my bottom spine, my only hope is it doesn't continue up my spine.

There is no fix for this. There is no cure. I'm on high dose anti inflammatory pills. Pressure massage works for a minute or less as it released the tension on my back but the moment pressure is released it will pull again. I stretch a lot. I use my TENs unit which can help after an hour or so with pain killers too but the pain is always there.

Since there's nothing that can be done about it, I don't want to spend money on unnessary doctors, massages etc. I have everything at home to manage, but now that it is a diagnosed chronic condition, I feel no light at the end of the tunnel and that is fine I can accept that, I guess.

It brings me down because I see my quality of life fade away. Anything I enjoy is now effected. Playing pool hurts, horse riding hurts, racing on the computer hurts. Can't sit and read that hurts too. The only thing that works is to keep moving. The pain is there but the more I move the better it is, problem is the more I move the more inflammation progresses so it's a catch 22.

    Ankylosing Spondelitus it's called.

Hey, we're inflammatory arthritis buddies. It's a pretty shitty club to be in, but at least it's exclusive.

I remember you posting it about it some time ago.

Normally I could just keep getting on with it but this pinched nerve really did it for me, it was like an amplify of pain that goes straight down my leg into my foot, mostly on the left side. When it subsides I'll be as good as I can be. They pushed me around in a wheel chair at the day visit hospital room and the needle shot hurt like hell but I kind of thrived on it too because I wasn't feeling my back.

It might be an idea to go back to the rheumatoid specialist and tell him look these medications are actually working, but from all my research it's like, you can't actually do anything about it.
