Anyway - to answer your question...Really Penny is generally a girl's name. I sort of take a LOT of leeway when naming my animals. He is a beautiful brown tabby, and a penny is brown...so there you have it. A boy named Penny. lol

My friend told me about this poodle that was in his neighborhood when he was growing up and its name was Penny also, because of his color.

I've met men named Carol (which I don't give a shit if there is an e on the end or not - to me, that is a woman's name)...as is Frances (or Francis - which supposedly the is makes it a man's name) with the es making Frances a woman's name.

It is a nice name. They're usually pretty cute. Not sure if everyone does this but I have pre determined looks and characterisation when people tell me names based on people I have known with the same name. I like it when I am surprised, I also think I nail it a lot too lol.
