We got a ridiculous amount of snow. Our street isn't plowed and there is no way that the little car my wife takes to work will get through it.

Have to decide whether to bundle the kids up and drive her to work, or to just have her take the Jeep and commit to being stuck at home all day. Probably the latter, since the city is advising people to avoid "non-essential" travel.

 

i was braced for a blizzard and we got dick...I had already used the blizzard as an excuse to not cross today ...now I have no excuse

can skidoos drive on the roads there?

 

Had to gun it to get through some snow drifts, but other than that it wasn't too bad.

Couple of weeks ago I was getting gas in the truck... The guy getting gas next to me was on a snowmoble. This is when you realise it's some serious winter driving conditions.

 

I loved the snowmobile when we had one up north..take it to the restaurant for drinks and then hit the lake at midnight....very exhilarating

Obviously in the UK we dont see anything like that rollin. Not because we dont get snow, but because the entire country cant function on half that am, so we cant get out lol.

My dad has an old Massey Ferguson he already had since I was a kid. Very fond memories of him picking up 3 huge straw bales at once in winter with it. Sometimes I was allowed to sit on the hood of the tractor because it needed more counterweight The tractor was staggering at times

I had a big surprise today when I was playing pool and I got a tap on the back and this gentleman stood there smiling at me. Omg! Tommi! An old friend from Sweden had been in Munich and saw I was playing pool on a Facebook post and came to see me. At first it was like, I knew he was but it took a split few seconds to digest and so I was probably just staring at him and then my eyes went wide with the realisation of who it was! Tommi! What are you doing here omg I never knew you were in the country. he said he was in Munich and saw me post on Facebook so came to see me.

He's a roadie for bands, He's a really cool guy. Anyway we drank and drank like fish he waited for the pool league to be over then we played pool and drank like fish some more.

It was a good ending to a mentally exhausting day for me.

 

can buy any fricking meal in the market.. idiot cooks dog shit tv dinners in microwave, stinks up entire house.. take a special kinda of stupid.
got two big meals of chili, with corn bread and the pot roast again. nope has to be special ..

 

The snow just keeps coming. The whole city is a mess. There is no where to put he snow anymore. The city has apparently already moved thousands of dump truck loads of snow this winter.

 

I wonder if at all possible, snow could be collected and then turned into drinking water at a treatment facility?
