Oh wow I just had an impressive run in the iRacing Official Calander 50 lap run at Daytona in the B car.
I started 24th and was 6th on the last lap, I purposely held off the throttle so I could go the last lap 100% throttle and get a good run down the backstretch and I passed 5 cars into 2nd place finish at the line :)

An iRacing official series race means non league, so against everybody in the world at the time :) was 2 other Germans, I worked with one for 7 laps at the start, a couple of East Euros and the the rest Americans.

I've got nothing. My body hurts from shoveling. More out there this morning. This has been a hell of a winter so far.

The plan is to go to the gym this morning, but we'll see what I have left haha.

We're heading down south on Thursday and dropping off the kids at my parents' house. We've rented a place for a few nights to get some time to ourselves without the kids. It's been a long winter so far and we're both ready for a break.

Mostly podcasts, actually. I usually get bored listening to music.

Oh wow the Dragon listens to the Corpse. :D
    +100 respect points.

Do you listen to Amon Amarth, Mr Dragon? :)

I believe song, Jomsviking might lift you during a workout. :D

Whirling dust in morning air Two warriors in the ring With the strength of two great bears They make their weapons sing Sparks fly high when steel meets steel And no one can believe That these two men are best friends not enemies

Crowbar was a Canadian rock band based in Hamilton, Ontario, best known for their 1971 hit "Oh, What a Feeling".[1]

    Different Crowbar.....

American sludge metal band formed in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1990. Through infusing a slow, low-keyed, brooding doom metal sound with the aggression of hardcore punk, they pioneered a style known as sludge metal

Amon Amarth are my favorite metal band. :) I love all the viking mythology and battle music.

Twilight of the Thunder God, you'll like that one too.

But my favorite has always been Victorious March or where Silent Gods stand guard and the pursuit of Viking and Friends of the sun cross... And all of their songs. :)

Lol I've been giving my dog an annoying game of..

Why do you keep hitting yourself in the face with your tail for? Why so you keep putting your tail in your ears for? Why do you keep biting your tail for? Why you angry at your tail for? :p

We just watched the newest Jurassic world so I have called him a Hündasaurus, or, hound-a-saurus in English. Because he makes Dino noises and gets angry at everything and has a uncontrollable dinosaur tail that knocks everything over...

    He's the best. :)

I tried getting into sludge when I was more into doom and stoner. There's some good stuff but I clearly prefer my doom/stoner without a lot of hardcore punk influences.
Do you dig stoner rock/metal on itself? It's still one of my fav subgenres: the grooviness of the 70s and the heavyness of doom :grinning:
Most pure doom metal is too slow for me.

Where it comes to viking metal stuff (which is also one of my fav themes in metal when approached from the right angle) i prefer an either more folkier approach or a more black metal approach. Like Amon Amarths vocals there, seems more death metal. I don't like it. I see you do: Morbid Angel and stuff :grinning:

I did some looking into the stoner rock/metal groups. I didn't see any groups I recognized that fit that genre. But... I will listen to a bunch to see if I would like them. I'm always open to new stuff , for example today. Irms introduced me to Amon. Now my workouts will have some Viking flavor.

Slow Doom Death Metal will always be on my lifting days because it mingles with slow lifting repetitions.

Where as my boxing will be done with Obituary, Napalm Death, Amon as well as the groups I mentioned already.

For all my jump rope cardiovascular, I have to be listening to dance music like Oakenfold or DJ Tiësto, to Rap like Migos, Wiz Khalifa or Sheck Wes.
It's the foot work of my dance steps coupled with listening to that music, keeping jump roping less boring and makes me go to that 30 min mark I have to be at.

You most likely heard of Orange goblin? One of the most popular stoner bands with a heavy metal vibe these days
I prefer their older work which grooved a bit more:
