I used to watch that show each week with my cousins and sisters, with Hercules and Sliders in the mix every Saturday night.

Years later I heard Xena and Gabrielle were meant to be lovers and lesbians, I never saw that as a kid. The 20mins I've watched now I can definitely see more than a friendship lol. A lot of it is just in the way they look at each other and the romanticised music to go with it.

 

At work. The kids have all gone back to school AND it's raining today so it seems exxxtra dead compared to last week. I'm not complaining.

my friend Bob hes been homeless since I was 17, hes just a hippie .. had really long black hair - still does. Hes was going blind and I said dude you got cataract when the last time you seen doctor?. NEVER he says. Cant see doctor he says owes child support. BOB your daughter is 36yrs old now!!. Thats been washed off years ago. that means nothing you cant got to jail for owing child support here. He spends time down the river. Last months Id a medical team from mercy come evaluate him. man was he pissed at me when we came into the woods he couldnt run away or past us cause I said Im your friend dude, they are only here to help check you out man, get some blood, look at your teeth and eyes. ok he submitted and kept with the help provided.

Today Bob has clear eyes. His cataract surgery was successful, placed on ebt for 1yr , now he has food stamp.

He was walking down the street and walked up to me and hes taking these big sunglasses off.. I could see in his eyes he was about to cry , just reached out and gave me a hug. saying Im thankful you did that, nobody ever cared for me unless i had money for beers and shit you know how it is. then told me how they come back after I shown them where he lives to follow up on it, get him ride to doctor. a minor surgery they did a week apart. Id a bunch of window aluminum for him, cat food, socks, tshirts I give him. I havent talked to him since the doctor incident .. figured he was hiding from that shit or me. Just made my day ..

Hes always been a clean homeless . he uses peoples houses to bath and store his personals. but lives on the river in the nicer weather. And hes sort of been a life long friend .. tho he smoked the crack. I dont think he does that anymore.

Funny when he says "I can see all the way across the river now and cross the street without help"..
Hes always been eyes and ears to me, "Hey Bob whats going on?" Nice to help him get his eye back..

I'm about to tell y'all some sad shit...to me it is anyway. I took Penny Lane and Zoro to the vet this am. Penny Lane had 2 knots under his jaw and Zoro just seemed sort of off, not really sick, you know? Well, come to find out they have the most contagious feline leukemia there is. I thought I did everything right - give them rabies shots, get them the leukemia vaccines as soon as possible...BUT come to find out those leukemia vaccines only cover like 3 kinds of feline leukemia and there are TEN. smdh Of course I got real emotional when I found out BOTH cats had this, plus Zoro has a slight heart murmur. Anyway, I told her I have 10 (TEN!) cats. The kind vet got sort of emotional too. She said with this kind of extremely contagious leukemia, even if they drink out of the same bowl or eat together they can get it. I told her that of course they use the same water bowls and even though they start out with different dishes, they all wind up eating out of each other's dishes.

I am at a loss. I am just floored. All of my cats.

I will NOT let them suffer, but I won't have any of them put to sleep until I see its time.

This is awful. I feel like crying and laying down a while.

Precious Zoro, with his Hitler mustache is the most gentle cat in the world...and my sweet Penny Lane - even the BIL loves Penny..this just kills me.

Aside from that, I'm going to go cry, and lay down and spend as much time as I can with these furbabies while I have them.
