Just competed in my first official iRacing race for a few months. Zero practice laps, 26th - 11th pretty happy with that. I got one Incident point right at the end which annoyed me cause race was over but I touched the grass. Also got run into under yellow but it was ok.

I couldn't be more different in that sense. I am such a lyrics lover. Unless I'm dancing--then all bets are off.

 

Also if it has a fiddle in it, i usually like it, and then just get used to the lyrics.

 

@Asmodean I saw a guy with an Abbath shirt at the library.

Very uncommon here to see people wear shirts from extreme metal bands, let alone at the library.

 

I'm a lyrics person but if the melody is sweet it can sometimes take me a while to pick up on the lyrics being shit lol

 

When death metal fans say they're lyrics people.

 

Lyrics: Well I guess really.. The song has to mean something for the lyrics to mean anything to me, so I prefer my country music to be kinda sad and depressive and they're the lyrics I get drawn to. I dunno why, I'm a sucker for a tragic story lol. And that's another thing too, story telling, I like that.

TBH I don't have much clue in what gets said a lot of metal except for the bands I like like Amon Amarth etc. Cannibal Corpse I don't need to know the lyrics to that shit. TBH the song names are bad enough and off putting.

 

i'm a simple guy….bit of stoner....bean walking around 2 hours with my nice clean shirt and I look down and see I have a wooden clothes pin stuck on my shoulder

 

now i signed myself up for a Mzda MX5 series race. the easiest road course car lol. I'm still not very good at it. I have to switch from left foot braking to right foot because you need to use the clutch.

 

No Clutch In My MX-5.....I Bought It With "Sports Automatic"......

Oh... Well that sucks lol. I can use auto clutch but I dunno, it takes away time too if you get a shift right.

In the nascar mods you just slam the gears in using revs lol. So I will accelerate, lift and shift and then on down shift I will slightly rev the engine as I shift down, that's called a 'throttle blip' and it helps get the revs higher so that when the gear engages you don't lose the back end. I've had to learn all this.

I used to be a right foot braker but I was told for nascar go left foot and it was difficult but not I've learned it, and it's hard to go back lol.

 

Well, Manila was a game changer.
