Is it usual for you to wait so long in the week before consuming your first libation?

 

Depends who you ask, but yes. I've been laying back a bit. Helping my lady through her diet means I pull my head in too. Though I'm losing weight now and I need to stop.

But yes. It is unusual. But also I'm proud of myself too.

 

That's sweet.

 

Why do I get the feeling everybody here considers me an alcoholic?

 

It's not a rumor that has come across my desk, for what it's worth.

3 weeks ago I enjoyed maybe, 2-3 drinks a day maybe 4 days a week. I don't think that's a huge problem lol. Yes I take strong alcohol into the movie theatres with me, but to be fair I'm more easy going when I am a bit tipsy so for social anxiety and just overall fun really, I have those 12% short cans of Woodstock at the movies. Other than that? I mean I got drunk this time a week ago and I knew after 2 hrs I gotta settle down and drink some water and sober up lol. So I did that. I didn't get a hangover. It's not like I ever get drunk every night, and even if I did drink 2-3 drinks a day, is that really bad? Not where I live.

 

I don't know what the wagon means whether on is good, on is bad. I'm not sure. There's a seinfeld scene there early on that discusses this. I can't remember though lol. I'm assume you haven't had a drink are feeling better.

 

And I really don't drink because of emotion. My mind just says "hey, a drink would be great right now!" I don't do it from depression or negativity, although I will readily admit those two factors play a large percentage on my day to day emotions but I don't think I have a drink to counter those feelings. I never say to myself" grr fuck I'm pissed off I need a drink" nope it's just like, yeah a drink would be good about now. I try to take all the stuff I do with good Intention and positive reinforcement so having a drink right now to me says it's Friday morning and as far as I'm aware I have done every chore, the weekend is free, I'm having a drink.

Sometimes it just comes down too there's nothing with flavour in the fridge but boring water, I'm having a Jim Beam then.

 

think of the wagon as ''leaving the pub''....you get on the wagon to stop drinking....you get off the wagon when it stops back in front of the pub to start drinking again

teetotaller is the one that always confused me as a youngin

 

I dont drink alcohol til after 7pm . the earliest in the summer 5pm -

by 11-12 goodnight most the time

my right yes is bothering me cause that the lens I broke.
only couple weeks old but my other glasses over 6yrs old and not a scratch but those are to dark for me to see everywerres

 

ya big decision coming up with new frames....these glasses have lasted longer without being all scratched up than any other pair I have owned but are feeling to weak these days


just heard a story on the news where buddy wiping window shields at a corner somewhere was found to have the bucket be full of human urine.....I dont like when homeless touch my car at a light...I wave them off....i'll give a homeless guy on the street some love but dont lie the guys at street corners begging on the red lights walking up and down with a sin saying hopw they cant find work

 

As a guitarist, I play many gigs.
Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper’s cemetery in the back country. As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost.

I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch.

I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn’t know what else to do, so I started to play.

The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I’ve never played before for this homeless man.

And as I played ‘Amazing Grace,’ the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished I packed up my guitar and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full.

As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, “I never seen nothin’ like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.”

Apparently, I’m still lost…
