Here in the south, where there are loads of snakes, rodents, and insects...cats will catch and kill and sometimes eat all of that. I guess that is why the TNR programs (trap, neuter and release) programs are really encouraged, and NOBODY is ever fined or even threatened with feeding "strays". I am now feeding a small feral colony, and I love it. I feel like I'm doing some good...like doing good for the least of us, or something like that.

Also, after the cats are fixed, they are supposed to be released back into the area they were taken from, as it can be practically a death sentence to release a feral cat into an area it is unfamiliar with. When it tries to get back to where it was, it is almost impossible after being trapped, drugged and had surgery for it to get back to its safety zone.

Another thing - us people (mostly ladies, but certainly not all!) that feed the cats that are sometimes TNR'd are subject to raise holy hell if a cat is not brought back to where it belongs. Us animal people are crazy - yes, I admit that...and the crazy comes out when you mess with our animals. :rage:

They require trapping here if feeding feral. you dont have to give up your cats, they give them back to you if you want but it is like 25$ fee for everything for each cat. Id only trap em they become out numbering .. I see a couple stray cats around but they dont seem to hang around very much. not even enough for me to give one a name.

In true east coast fashion, Halifax was bright and sunny, but the coast was grey and foggy.

Ah, I don't take that but I take a liquid hair, skin and nails shot once a day. :)

Its okay it's just fluffy atm. Tomorrow when it gets a bit sweaty it'll be back to normal. Probably during pool as I'll be anxious and get the sweats.

This new kid at work, Lincoln. Fucken 22yo or something. He's good value, I love the kid he's harmless as fuck but I think he has some learning difficulties. I'll look after him. Never heard so much shit in my life though lol. Talks non stop. My ears are shot. :tearsofjoy:

He's like my 3rd shadow now. He thinks I'm pretty cool cause I'm just random. And he's asking all the questions ya know, music, movies, games etc. Thought it was pretty cool when I said i liked ICP as rap. I thought he was pretty cool for even knowing that. :tearsofjoy:

Been text messaging Ey this morning he's given me some videos to watch on YouTube. He's just got straight back into being my guru. It's good. Explaining to him how now, after reading a lot of Sumerian mythology, why he got me to look into so much Hindu/Indo/Persian literature. I just didn't get it when I was in my early 20s. But I get it now.

You see, I love it when this happens because it happens uncanny for me. I learn something that triggers something else I learned but never understood. And I learned that from him. And I didn't see him for all those years. I didn't think I'd see him again I thought, being halfway around the world maybe he was like this guardian spirit I had and then *poof* he's gone for good. And then I'm thinking so much about him and what he was telling me and showing me and then all a sudden on some random gig I'd never have gone to other than a random friend asked, I see him.. And I have so much to tell him. So much emotion. So I'm hoping to catch up soon. :)

Can't remember where I was going with the first sentence...

Oh yeah. So with everything he got me to learn and educate myself with, at the time none of that meant anything to me other than pub conversation, but I get it now. He was trying to point me in the direction to find out who I am and where I come from. And I get that now. :)
