What I appreciate about Southpark is it keeps it real. It's not afraid to cross lines, and it's not entirely left leaning, it pokes fun at all sides of an issue. I get tired of seeing skts or cartoons that only slant against one side. That, is not funny. That's just an agenda.

 

I definitely say mmkay to people in person. South Park started coming on when I was in 7th grade and mmkay has been part of my lexicon for just as long. No shame

 

keeps it real?...talking turds?...kid who dies every episode?....joking about pedophiles?.....to each her own...….it isnt offensive to my morality...it is offensive to my intelligence....and like I said...I been saying this right here in this thread ongoing since it began...it is nothing new that I get frustrated when I see them

 

And also, Nelson's laugh from the Simpsons. I let that one slip on occassion

I don't adore the show, or love every episode, but it tends to make fun of the hard things in life. But I don't get the sense that it's demeaning those things, if that makes sense. But, that's just my opinion. I didn't know you hated the show until reading this thread. Do you take issue with its popularity?

 

Kenny was modeled after a real kid that went to school with a Southpark writer. He wore a big orange parka all the time, and sounded like he had a muffled voice due to that. He skipped school alot so the kids always joked and said that maybe he had died.

you make perfect sense...I get that they push the limits...

I think Southpark is overrated but I do like some of the catch sayings like mmmkay? and have a laugh when people use that here and there.
