nobody remembers lenny bruce's 9 filthy words, or carlin's 7 dirty ones? (practically the same list - shit, piss, fuck, ****, cocksucker, motherfucker, and tits, with bruce adding ass and balls) both of them got arrested for the routine - and had fines and penalties from the FCC over it. neither one buckled and apologized. but they're pretty much the ur-example of comics catching shit for their jokes.

 

I am trying to imagine any grownup I know in real life saying the phrase ''i'll come over as soon as southpark is over''.....or ''i gotta get going because I dont want to miss south park''.....or even ''hey did you see southpark last night?''......ok so I imagined it.....now I can imagine the ridicule that would follow lol

 

south park was big when I was in the army. It was like we all know what we were going to laugh about the next day or the jokes we would have to break up the time. it is a lot of programing now i think about it..
in bct we all mimicked pet detective ALL RIGHTY THEN.. not a good weekend it was.
