I've heard white lighters but those ppl are full of shit.

 

i think the direction the bowl is passed should also reflect the situation, and not necessarily according to a rule. let´s say someone un-cool walks into the circle last minute and just happens to sit to the left of the bowl, while the person who packed the bowl just handed it off to their left for that person to spark. if that were me lighting that bowl, i wouldnt hand it to the jerk on my left - it would go to the guy who packed it on my right.

"returning the favor" and smoking up someone who got you high previously is a good thing to do, too. whether each person matches a bowl or if you smoke the person up a few days later, it should all be equal. if anything, smoke them up with more. with a lot of friends, even if you try and say anything about getting them back for the smoke, they´ll laugh and say how they´re not worried about it. they know you´ll smoke them up again.

and lighter-use is a biggie. leaving lots o´ green for others to hit should be an obvious thing to do, although many people dont realize this.

 

i agree with whats been said about leaving some green for the next person i hate when someone lights the whole middle on the first hit

i dont think ive had any bad expirences with lighters of any color but i too have seen people who wont even touch a white lighter

and melvndoo i agree with ya it depends on the situation of whos to which side ect ect

and whoever rolls or packs it goes first...unless its for special ocasion like b-day blunt for someone then they go first

 

There are some people that don't eat when they're high? I'd feel so deprived. If I don't have food, it's not as pleasurable a high 'cause I'm so hungry. Food+weed= mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. It doesn't take away from my high at all.

 

If food really does bring you down, which I really don't believe, that's what re-upping is for!

 

After smoking for a while. Food will bring you RIGHT DOWN.

Atleast with everyone I know who has been smoking pot daily for atleast a year now.

 

I know! I used to get on my sister when she was a noob for always nuking the bowl. Even now that she knows better, whenever we smoke a bowl, I always feel the urge to remind her: "Don't nuke it!" You only have to hit it a couple times with the lighter to get a good hit. If you don't, you waste weed and there aren't as much hits for everyone if you're passing it around.

And since I usually roll or pack, I like to have first hit, but sometimes I give it to my sissy first because she gets jealous of me always hitting first. Again on the subject of lighter skills, I like to light the joint because I'm afraid my sister will burn too much of it before we even get to smoke it. Even with joints, even if you hold the lighter there for a while (you have to to get it going), you don't have to move it up the joint, just light the edge. Sometimes you can even fuck up the joint by burning too much and you can't smoke it 'cause it's uneven.

I pride myself on my superb lighter skills.

 

I'm a heavy smoker, no noob here. I've never experienced that, but everyone's different.

 

white lighters are bad mojo. is this a common thing ?

 

One time, my friend/roommate and I were at a headshop. For a while he had wanted to get an additional piece and chose that night. He decided on a ridiculous 6 foot acrylic bong and bought it right away. As we were exiting the head shop this old homeless guy comes up and offers to sell us a white lighter for a dollar. My friend says "hell, why not?" and buys it from him, which is pretty lucky as we needed to get a new lighter anyway. Later that night we got stupid high and checked on an online food service site and it turned out we both had enough extra credit on the site to get free meals. As far as I saw that lighter brought us great luck all while I roomed with him.

Sadly he's no longer with us. I heard it was something about his chair slipping on old food wrappers and consequently him falling mouth first onto the mouth of the bong, immediately after the lighter ran out of fuel...

Anyway, my point is that white lighters aren't bad luck.

 

i usually dont eat for a while after i smoke either ill drink something and smoke cigarettes but i wait a while to eat

 

ha for as long as i can remeber i have always used a yellow lighter, just cuz they are easy to find when dropped. I have heard about the white lighter thing before, I dont put too much faaith in it though, anything that can light the green is good enough luck for me.

 

when i'm with this one group of dudes, i always put whole chunks of unbroken nug in. we call it "dylan hall style."

and i always offer everyone else the first hit. just courtesy.

 

I don't like to eat within 3 hours prior to getting high so I get mad munchies lol

 

Yellow lighters last longer than any other color. I firmly believe this.

haha some guy brought one of those tiny bic lighters that burn your fingers to a session the other day...and it was white. needless to say we used my (purple) jumbo bic, thankyouverymuch. Don't get those mini lighters, that's ridiculous.

Ohh, and THEN he dumped the bowl, saying it was cashed after his first hit. The whole center was green. douchebag.
