I can assure I am speaking of God and not myself.

I have read Mr.Rees post and have responded. I donot twist words or facts. The Bible clearly states that Jesus would have at least five names. Mr. Ree ignores the five and wants to center on only one. That way he can call it a counterdiction. But it will only appear as a counterdiction if you can ignore the four other names.

And if you don't believe in the Bible it is because you have ignored the evidence, which is your choice to do.

And what has indicated to you it was a hoax? Because I have found out it was just the oppsite.

28 years from now it is just the beginning for those who love the Lord.

I'm very down to earth as well, but if I see someones house on fire should I ignore it? Because maybe the person wants to believe his house is just fine.
Sometimes if you care about people, you go the extra mile.

Every Jew that accepts God's blood sacrifice will have a place in God's Kingdom. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life.

OK ~ show where it states that the mesiah will be "called all of them"!
And while you're at it, you might like to locate the historical Immanuel, which is the name of a child, supposedly born of a virgin, who becomes the messiah of humanity.
You may also like to point out the prophecy that states his name will be Jesus!
You, like all christians, are trying to use the OT to prove something that never happened, and what you claim has been refuted for 2,000 years by the very people who own the messianic prophecies ~ the Jews. And you will lie through your teeth in doing so ~ such as "legal bloodline" bullshit.
Do liars go to heaven too?

Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and HIS NAME SHALL BE CALLED WONDERFUL COUNSELLOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE.

Immanuel is another descriptive Hebrew name that is given. The definition of this name is, God with us. Immanuel was never to be the formal name of the Messiah, just as the other names given in Isaiah 9:6 were not formal names either.

And if Immanuel was the formal name, the Bible would not be asking the question 46 chapters later in Isaiah 53:1. To whom is the arm of the Lord revealed? It would be saying it is going to be Immanuel, and not asking the question.

You are confabulating the OT to conform to your NT viewpoint.
    * Where does it actually mention the name Jesus as messiah in OT prophecy ~ other than the gross assumptions that you make?
    * Immanuel is as much a "descriptive" name as "john", "george" or "jesus". Immanuel was to be the name of the messiah. Where was Immanuel born, when, and where is the bloodline proof? If he ever was, he'd be proveable, yet neither Jesus nor immanuel can be proven to have ever actually existed historically (outside the immagination of desperate believers, that is).
    * The "prophets" Isiah, Jeremiah, & Ezekiel are proven to be false prophets using the Bible's own criteria for determining Prophecy validity found in Deuteronomy 18:21-22

    * Your lie about "legal bloodline" removes any credibility, or honesty for that matter, from you. You are a good representative for the christian faith in that matter at least.

The Old Testament states His name would be Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace, ect. You can't just pick one name, and ignore all the others to make your arguement. And there is historical documentation outside of the Bible and some of it comes from the enemies of the Bible. Yet even confronted with this evidence, you would reject it, because you don't want to believe the Bible. They now have found the real Mount Sinia, and the altar where the Golden Calf was worshipped, and the 12 descriptive land marks that proves the accuracy of the Bible, yet you must fight with every breath to convince yourself that it's all untrue. The same way you ignore the other names to try and make your lame arguement. You ask me to show you where he would be called all these names. I show you, and then you ignore what is clearly written.

You persist in trying to manipulate fiction into fact ~
    * The Mt Sinai location is not a fact that can be proven but a supposition by christians trying to prop up their phoney beliefs.
    * The Golden Calf location is just some etchings of cows on stone similar to any number of cave paintings of cows found anywhere.
    * The bible is not accurate in any way, shape, or form. Christians convolute every detail trying to prove their lie is a truth, such as you continue to do.
    * I don't need to try to convince myself that the bible is untrue ~ the falacy of the bible is ther for anyone with open eyes to see.
    * Does the bible or the supposed jesus teach followers to lie, or is that just your natural way? ~ "Legal Bloodline"

Well, how do you think the top of this mountain got burnt black? And it's not just Christians, who believe this is Mount Sinai. The altar is man made and the boundry markers that surround the Mountain match the number given in the Bible. The split rock where the Bible said Moses struck it with his staff is there to. Also from the roundness of the bolders you can see where the water came out. And why would anyone build an altar 40 feet across in the middle of the desert. And it must of taken many men to build it, because the stones weight number in the tons. I did see a movie that was made by two men who saw the site. One of the men was a christian, the other man was not. They went to the Bible and read from it, and they saw everything the Bible described at the site and showed it in the movie. Other men who have seen the movie and that includes National Geographic now believes this is the real Mount Sinia. And I'm sorry if that upsets you, and you can curse the sky, but many people who are seeing this film are now convinced by the evidence, that this is the Real Mount Sinia. I believe you should check out the movie, and try opening your eyes. And if the Bible is not accurate, how is it everything which is spoken of in the Bible is found at this site. Which can be plainly seen in the Movie. Perhaps you are the one who needs to see the move. It is titled. The Real Mount Sinia. Or do you believe it's all trick photography, and all those that have seen the Mountain, are liars.

You've been over this same crap like a cracked record before, and it is crap, but you preferr to look at the wadding that gets stuffed into the holes rather than at the water leaking through! Oh that sinking feeling!
Every one of your manipulations is speculative conjecture based upon some hysterical zealot's attempt to deliver credibility to an incredible doctrine, such as your famous "James Ossuary" and other faked relics you rely on.
And besides that ~ you have four times now studiously avoided the fact that you lie and deceive. What point in continuing the charade? you are deceiptful and a liar......"legal bloodline" ring a bell?

I suggest you subscribe to National Geographic magazine, or upgrade your television system to cable so that you can tune into the Discovery, History, and Learning channels.
    • Cultures represented in the Bible are still in existence today.
    • Places that have existed in the Bible are still in existence today.
    • Events that have taken place in the Bible are being proven through technology and scientific testing.
The Bible is not merely a book of prophecy, but a book of history. According to your broad and general statement, Israel, Rome, Jews, The Black Sea, etc. do not exist. Apparently these cultures and places must be a figment of our imagination.

Yes, I am aware of the meaning behind your statement, but the wording you chose to use set yourself up for a comment.

Well 'Piph ~ the first two points are a bit stupid, don't you think? I mean, it is the same planet now that is was from the beginning!
The third point is interesting, but the biblical "investigative' programs that I've seen are more an attempt to bring some credibility into a theological quagmire in which anything proves anything, and nothing disproves it ~ simply on the say-so of theologians.

Not really, considering the very broad generalization you made. You did state, "Any way, shape or form."

Indeed I did make the statement, though possibly it should (could) have been qualified so that the dog was focussed on instead of the flea. So yes, it is as you stated, my wording could (should) have been more astutely considered.

But I have a question arising ~ I take it that some show on cable puts forward a case that agrees with some religious convention that I presume to be christian.
Personally I like to know the background details of such productions so as to obviate any possibility of an agenda being presented and disguised as "news," "discovery," or "proof". In order to remove any doubts, one musty know the credentials and affiliations of the producers and conceivers of such programs, who financed it etc etc. You know how it goes, e.g. ~ the meat industry commissions and finances scientific research into the benefits of meat which are duly found because the detrimental aspects are not incorporated in the research protocols and therefore excluded. The industry then goes on to release the good report via their own marketing and media affiliations.
I'm certain you've seen all the "news" stories that appear from time to time like "red wine reduces heart attack", "natural medicines can cause side-effects with pharmaceuticals" the list is quite extensive and the "reports" are integrity-wise very dubious.
So what checks and balances were in place that would ensure that the program was uncorrupted by any religious ideological agenda?

You've gotta really look at anything that MrRee says, he often misquotes or entirely misses the point of stuff he sites. He also takes stuff entirely out of context. If you wanna have fun, when he quotes a website, look it over thoroughly- he sometimes quotes websites that contradict themselves, and other times he doesn't read the website he quoted, takes something out of context, and then you can quote the website to show that he is operating with less than a full deck.

Anyway, have fun... he is entertaining...

I find it amusing, yet sad, how you are so quick to dismiss any findings that pertain to the Bible.

Yes, I am in love with learning and I often turn my attention to various subjects ranging from history and science to medicine and beyond.

Perhaps you have never considered the possibility that these archeologists do not subscribe to faith, yet they desire to uncover historical findings in the Word. I, myself, often desire to learn about things which I do not necessarily agree with. However, I merely want to possess an understanding of what people think, feel and believe to be true.

My comments were made simply to show how easy it is to misconstrue, or take anothers words out of context (much like those do with the Bible itself).

There was quite an interesting show last week ( I do not recall which channel) in which an archeologist concluded scientific tests to discover what may have actually happened to Sodom and Gomorrah. The information gathered in these tests showed that the cities themselves were built on a weak ground structure and that an earthquake would have produced enough force to cause water seepage that sprung up through the dirt, with the ability to landslide them directly into the Dead Sea.

Campbell has mentioned before how chariot wheels were found in the bottom of the Red Sea, which pertains to Israel’s freedom from Egyptian rule. In fact, he regularly posts links to information regarding this subject matter. Unless you, yourself, possess a background in archeology, it is quite unfair for you to dismiss anything.

Rather, it is untruthful to submit fiction as assumed fact! "campbell's wheels" are at the bottom of the sea in the diaspora in an area where extensive ocean trade has taken place since ancient times. To conclude, on the basis of wheel remains in that area, that it proves Moses parted and crossed through the sea at that place is ludicrous in the extreme, and highlights my point of "agenda's". It is the hidden agenda's that are of great concern to me. It's quite OK for people to be upfront and say "it could be this, that, or the other way around", nominating all possibilities so as to be transparent and honest, but categorical statements based on supposition are fabrications, and fabrications are lies.
Now tell me ~ who is the God of Lies??

PS ~ I have not "quickly dismissed" anything to do with the bible. This is your own suppositional assumption which is as far from truth and reality as you could possibly get! It has in fact taken over 20 years for the scales of christian dogma to be removed from my eyes, and the process was not based upon choice or conscious effort on my part to do so but, rather, by adhering to the Christ teachings "Ask and it shall be given, seek and ye shall find, knock and it will be opened unto you" & "know the truth, and the truth will set you free"! By immersion in these remanant truths, every person alive will open to the truth of reality (and all is not as it seems!) .
    So here's a challenge for you ~
do you have faith in the Christ and the Christ teachings?
Are you game to ask the Christ to show you the truth? ~ even if it differs from what you believe?
do you believe that the Christ will in fact show you the truth if you ask?
If, after so asking you receive answers that time and again over a number of years confront your "beliefs" ~ what will you do? ~ refute the answers to your prayers, or accept that they have been answered?
That is what has happened to me, and I have found quite a number of people over this time who have experienced the same.
Ask for the truth, and it will be given.
Seek for the truth, and you will find.
Know the Truth, and the truth will set you free.
    But ~
Do it with sincerity. That's very important.
