If proof is required for what the bible says, then it is not speaking.

What does the assurance of things hoped for mean? How are we assured of things hoped for? Aren't we given a word or a thought or a moment of silence if that is expedient, as testimony to the reality of god's presence? What do you place your faith on? To say I place my faith in god is an abstraction that no one can comprehend unless their ideas of god are synonymous with mine. What does god look like, how does he appear in your life? What tangible energetic occurrence manifests in your life that you identify as god?

There is a reason theses points are popular. It is because material evidence and OBSERVATION point to the conclusions. The mouth of the Colorado river is not higher in elevation than it's source. It does not matter how quickly the grand canyon formed. It's salient time line is in the geologic deposits that are exposed. Sedimentary deposits hundreds of feet deep require enormous spans of time to accumulate.

What is smoke and mirrors my friend, are the attempts to explain natural processes with scientific precision through the use of symbolic literature.

If the age of the earth is 50,000 years or 6 billion years it matters not one iota in true relations.

In scripture God says he will preserve his word for all generations...for ever as long as there is an Earth.

His words are like silver purified in the Earth seven times....It's amazing that there were six English bibles before the exactness of the King James bible in 1611. That makes seven. It's amazing that there has been seven major editions (not revisions) of the King James Bible since 1611. It is amazing that it took the 54 Highly Intelligent Students of Gods Word seven years to make an exact translation from the Pure Texts uncorrupted!

There is a lot of disinformation out there. Prove all things with Scripture! In the true Holy Bible, the King James Authorized Version!

As to the word "yom" concerning periods of time: It is fact that the words before and after that set persistence to its meaning. If the word Yom for day is used, it is to be referenced against the other words in the passage. If yom is stated and there are Days like Thee (definite articles) and words like first, second or third, it means a 24 period.

Today is the time of GREAT DECEPTION in the world. Many will be deceived. Most professed Christians today are greatly deceived. They think they can still live their worldly lives and serve Christ. We can only serve one master. Most Churches are being infiltrated by false teachers and mysticism...this is not true Christianity.

In these end times, people are going to worship the beast and the devil.
EVERYBODY who is not saved is going to worship the devil and the beast. That includes every church hypocrite who has his eyes wide open so that he can avoid some rice-sized computer implant.

We established that no one is going to worship the devil for who he is. He
has to DECEIVE people into worshipping him. The unrelenting current of
deception will pick up everybody in its path that is not anchored to the
word of God. This wide, swift, deep, current is so artfully disguised and so
tailored to man's desires that you can't even see it without the light of
God's word. Deception will cause you to--

    1. BELIEVE what is FALSE
    2. DISBELIEVE what is TRUE

A deceived person does not know that they are deceived. "That being the
case, how do I know if *I* am deceived?" You need a measure outside of yourself. That measure is the word of God. Look at your lifestyle in light of the word. Your thoughts. Your doctrinal beliefs. Be like the Bereans.

    **************A WORD ON SEDUCTION***********

The current of deception is filthy but HIGHLY seductive. It does not scare
you away, IT DRAWS YOU TO ITSELF. It even seeks to allure the elect--

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and
shall shew signs and wonders, TO SEDUCE, if it were possible, EVEN
    THE ELECT.

    1 Timothy

4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times
    SOME SHALL DEPART FROM THE FAITH, GIVING HEED to SEDUCING spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Some SHALL depart from the faith and give heed to SEDUCING spirits. And to DOCTRINES of devils. The devil has doctrine too--he will take verses out of context and string them together to make false doctrines/teachings. If you listen to his servants, you'll be quoting the Bible just as wrong as two left feet. To avoid this, we have to put in hard study--whole BOOKS of the Bible. We must obey what we read. Then you won't be seduced--

    SEDU'CE, v . t . [L. seduco ; se , from, and duco , to lead.]
    1. To draw aside or entice from the path of rectitude and duty in ANY
manner, by flattery, promises, bribes or otherwise; to tempt and lead to
    iniquity; to corrupt; to deprave.

    SEDU'CER, n .
    1. One that seduces; one that by temptation or arts, entices another to
depart from the path of rectitude and duty; pre-eminently, one that by
flattery, promises or falsehood, persuades a female to surrender her
chastity. [Your favorite secular actors are paid seducers bewitching
    masses.]

    2. That which leads astray; that which entices to evil.

    SEDU'CIBLE, a . Capable of being drawn aside from the path of rectitude;
    corruptible.

    A few scriptures on "seduction"--

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and SEDUCERS shall wax worse and
    worse, DECEIVING, and being DECEIVED.

1 John 2:26 These things have I written unto you concerning them
    that SEDUCE you.

There are many deceivers and seducers in this world, but they only fall into a few categories. In this email, we'll look at the CHIEF deceiver. This long
email may be of little interest to most, but it is the very one many people
need to read THE MOST. The chief deceiver is...

    ************** YOUR OWN HEART **************

The human heart is DECEITFUL ABOVE all things.

Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, and
DESPERATELY WICKED: who can know it?

Above ALL things, your own corrupt feelings will DECEIVE YOU. After the
flood, God testifies of man's heart--

Genesis 8:21 And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD
said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for
man's sake; for THE IMAGINATION OF MAN'S HEART is EVIL from his
youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as
    I have done.

Knowing that the human heart is DECEITFUL, we should be careful about saying "I believe that WITH ALL MY HEART." That doesn't count for anything. Our hearts will fool us. We must put a chapter and verse with what we believe. If you can't put a scripture to your belief, you need to be silent until you can.

I've also heard professed Christians say, "The Lord knows my heart". That
usually means they are sinning and they think that God accepts the
lipservice about loving Him (those that love God keep His commandments).
They should be scared about the fact that God DOES know their heart --HE KNOWS EVERYTHING ABOUT IT AND HE KNOWS YOUR THOUGHTS AFAR OFF.

Jeremiah 17:9 not only says the human heart is DECEITFUL (remember we're talking about DECEPTION) above all things but it goes on to say that that the human heart is "desperately WICKED". Let's retrieve definitions from Webster's 1828--

    DESPERATELY, adv.

    1. In a desperate manner; as in despair; hence, furiously; WITH RAGE; MADLY; without regard to danger or safety; as, the troops fought desperately.

    2. In a popular sense, GREATLY; EXTREMELY; VIOLENTLY.

WICKED, a. [The primary sense is to wind and turn, or to depart, to fall
    away.]

    1. Evil in principle or practice; DEVIATING FROM THE DIVINE LAW; ADDICTED TO VICE; sinful; immoral.
This is a word of comprehensive signification, extending to every thing that is CONTRARY to the moral law, and both to persons and actions. We say, a wicked man, a wicked deed, wicked ways, wicked lives, a wicked heart, wicked designs, wicked works.

The human heart, which is untamed by the yoke of Jesus Christ, is a vicious, rebellious, furious, wild, mad entity that deviates from the commandments of God at every turn. It is DESPERATELY WICKED. We cannot trust our "feelings".
    Here's an example--

I remember some years ago watching a documentary on PBS. I was saved but still flitting around with hell-i-vision. The documentary was about some sodomites who were "Foster Parents of the Year" in some midwestern state. At the end of the documentary, my heart was so soft towards them. They took in abused children and they all sat down to dinner together every night, talked, etc. The Spirit of God made me look at my corrupt self. It was like looking at a stranger. It was hard to believe that "I" was sucked in like that. I was bewitched that quick. I wasn't an NIV, lets-have-a-Christian-halloween-party type, either. I was King James 1611, writing for the website, etc. This is an example of the "human" heart. Whenever we depart from underneath the written word to investigate on our own, there is corruptness. Your own human heart will deceive you. It is prone to wander. It must be restrained by the word of God.

Paul said in Romans 7 that even when he would do good, evil was present with him. As I've heard it said before, "The best man is still just a man." We have to be on guard for our hearts for out of it flow the issues of life. It has to be kept under the blood and the word. Whatever you don't crucify and bring under subjection to Jesus Christ will mess you up. Destroy the Blockbuster card, cancel the cable, destroy the worldly video collection. These things will bewitch you. [Aside: We have some Christian video recommendations at http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/videos.htm for any who are interested.]

The devil and his ministers will tell you to listen to your own heart and
your human feelings. He will tell you to interpret the scriptures according
to your own heart and what YOU think is right. King Jesus gave us the key to understanding this in Matthew 16--

    Matthew

16:21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples,
how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the
elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised
    again the third day.
16:22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it
far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee.
16:23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me,
Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest NOT the
things that be of God, BUT THOSE
    THAT BE OF MEN.

Peter, in his human heart did not want Jesus to be killed. The devil came
right in through those feelings but the Lord Jesus called him out--"Get thee behind me, SATAN...thou savourest NOT the things that be of God, BUT THOSE THAT BE OF MEN." JESUS SAID he MUST go to Jerusalem and suffer and be killed and rise but Peter sought to override what Jesus said. Don't ever put your feelings above the word. GO WITH THE WORD EVERYTIME EVEN IF IT CAUSES YOU
    SOME SORROW.

The devil savours and relishes the things of man. Man's feelings, desires,
etc. are a PLAYGROUND for the devil. When we think our thoughts instead of chapter and verse, the devil can fool us EVERYTIME. The devil loves the following kind of talk--

    "It seems to me,"
"Well, I believe it like this," "I believe with all my heart," "Perhaps..."
"Maybe it means..." "My mother always said..." "My brother believes..."

But when you start saying, "Thus saith the Lord according to Ezekiel chapter 3 verse..." there's no room there for the devil.

Summary: Don't base your beliefs or doctrine on what "seems" right to you. Base it ONLY on the written word.

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but
the end thereof are the ways of death.

****OUR HEART IS CORRUPT BECAUSE WE WERE SHAPEN CORRUPT****

It is good to understand and tell the truth about yourself. It helps you to
    be watchful.

    TRUTH: We are corrupt.

Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was SHAPEN IN INIQUITY; and IN SIN did my mother
    CONCEIVE ME.

The picture I get from this scripture is me in my mother's womb being
throughly shapen in inquity, it being mixed in with my very being. Before my eyes ever saw the light of day, I was in bad shape. I was even CONCEIVED in sin. When that little sperm found my mother's egg, sin was there. When my bones were being knit together, iniquity and corruptness was there. I was BORN with a fatal defect--sin--and it requires that I die. This is our inheritance from the first Adam.

Look at a little child. When has anyone ever had to teach a child to lie or
do bad? Nobody. They come out ready to do wrong. They have sin nature. You have to teach them how to do right. My little sister couldn't talk but she'd hold her breath as an infant when she got mad. Nobody has to say, "Here is how you throw a temper tantrum," or "Here's how to say 'no' when you mother tells you to do something". Sin is only THE MANIFESTATION of what is already in our heart. Sin is a symptom. It tells us something is wrong in our heart. Our heart is DECEITFUL and the sin that comes out of it is DECEITFUL.

    *************SIN DECEIVES************

Hebrews 3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest
any of you be hardened through the *DECEITFULNESS* OF SIN.

Your own sin is a deceiver. If you give place to sin instead of confessing,
repenting and forsaking it, it will HARDEN you to gospel truth. You will
lose your relish for spiritual things. You'll go without prayer, Bible
reading, fellowshipping with the saints, etc. Your sins DECEIVE and harden
    you.

We need to stop making excuses for sin and start warring against it.
"Nobody's perfect" "I'm not perfect, just forgiven" "I'm just a sinner,"
etc. The professed church is a hissing. We say such lame, weak things. How
about some, "Be ye holy, for I am holy" and "yield your members as
instruments of rightoeusness," ? How about "I used to be a thief, but now I work for a living." Testify of strength received by the blood of Jesus. Let
them that love the Lord, hate sin.

In today's church world, people study sin on HBO and flee from
righteousness--and call those who try to live right "legalists". Greatly
    deceived.

Here are a few sins that the Bible says will deceive you. A derivative of
the word "deceit" is in almost all these particular scripture references--

self-righteousness, saying we have no sin (I John 1:8) unrighteousness (II
Thessalonians 2:10) women more apt to deception--that's why they are to be silent in the churches (I Timothy 2:11-14) pride (Galatians 6:3, Obadiah 1:3, Jeremiah 49:16) evil communications (I Corinthians 15:33) whores (Job 31:9) drunkeness (Proverbs 20:1) dainties (Proverbs 23:3) flattery (Proverbs 27:6) favor (nice countenance or friendly disposition, Proverbs 31:30) riches (Mark 4:19, I Timothy 6:10) hypocriting (James 1:22) flapping your lips (James 1:26) your heart (Deuteronomy 11:16, Jeremiah 17:9) sin (Hebrews
    3:13)

    **********STAGES OF SIN*************

Understanding that our sins DECEIVE us, it behooves us to know the stages leading up to sin so that we can avoid it and pass not by it --

James1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is (1) drawn away of his OWN lust, and (2) enticed. 1:15 Then when (3) lust hath conceived, (4) it
bringeth forth sin: and (5) sin, when it is finished, (6) bringeth forth
    death.

Many people blame everything on the devil. That is not wise. Concerning sin, this scripture clearly teaches that the sins that a man commits, he commits on his own. Forget, "The devil made me do it." The tempter may put a temptation in front of you, but IT IS YOUR OWN LUST THAT GETS YOU INTERESTED IN IT. Work with that. Then after you are interested, you keep looking and the temptation draws you in. Then your lust hooks up with the temptation and you sin. The sin eventually deals the death blow. It may not be physical death, but believe it, something is dead. Whether it is a relationship, a ministry, whatever.

When you feel your lust rising up, don't accept it, pray, apply the
scriptures, repent and go do right. Don't go like an ox to the slaughter and
    greatly dishonour your Creator.

"O this wretched computer, I just keep going to porno". It is not the
computer that is making you nasty. You are ALREADY nasty and you are HAPPY to look at some naked whoremongers--you should be very afraid because you don't fear God. REPENT of your sins, BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and bring forth works meet for repentance. "Wash you, make you clean put away the evil of your doing from before mine eyes. Cease to do evil LEARN TO DO WELL, seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow." Christian people can give you some don'ts but can't give you any do's! Ah! Who is on the Lord's side? Many church people say "I'm just resting" whereas Jesus said, "Strive to enter in at the strait gate, for many shall seek to enter in and shall not be able". If your way is broad and you feel you can do what you want to do, you are on the broadway that leadeth to the destruction. You have lots of latitude on that way. If you scorn the narrow way, that means you're on the broadway.

    *************USE THE LAW LAWFULLY***************

We've talked about sin. Let's talk about USING THE LAW AS A RESTRAINT on our propensity to sin.

1 Timothy 1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man use it
    lawfully;

Many Christian people don't know the purpose of the law or how to use it
lawfully. Many people think that by obeying the law, they will be saved. IT
WILL NEVER HAPPEN. The only way to be saved is to believe the gospel (death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ) and confess the name of the Lord Jesus. Now that I am now dead unto the law I serve in the newness of spirit. My new regulating principle is the law of Christ. To love God supremely and to love my neighbor as myself.

But what does it mean to use the law lawfully? Let's continue in Timothy--

1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that THE LAW IS NOT MADE FOR A RIGHTEOUS MAN, but for the LAWLESS AND DISOBEDIENT, for the UNGODLY and for SINNERS, for UNHOLY and PROFANE, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1:10 For WHOREMONGERS, for THEM THAT DEFILE THEMSELVES with
    mankind, for menstealers, for LIARS, for perjured persons, AND IF THERE BE ANY OTHER THING THAT IS CONTRARY TO SOUND DOCTRINE;

1:11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was
    committed to my trust.

Look at verse 9. The law is not made for a righteous man. The speed limit
sign of 55 miles per hour is not for somebody that goes 55 mph. It is for
the person going 100 mph, the transgressor. It is to slow them down and
convince them that they are a transgressor. THE LAW IN THE CASE OF A SAVED PERSON IS TO RESTRAIN YOU AND ME FROM OUR NATURAL EVIL PROPENSITIES. When a saved individual finds him or herself going out of the bounds of holiness, we need to whip some law up on ourselves so that we don't follow pernicious ways. We are not lawless and rebellious like the antinomians. We have respect for the law and when we find that we are lawbreakers then we need to go back to that which schooled us to Christ--
Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid.
Nay, I HAD NOT KNOWN SIN, BY BY THE LAW: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

The law shows up my sins. I don't get saved and forget about "thou shalt not bear false witness". When I am tempted to tell a lie out of convenience, I must remember what God says about it.

When we feel an evil impulse, THEN is the time to revisit the law and get
under control. I'm talking to save people, and unregenerate man cannot do this. The hands that I have are the same hands I used as an ungodly sinner. I still have flesh and blood. I am still corruptible. I need A RESTRAINT on my mind, my actions, my desires. THE LAW IS THAT RESTRAINT. Don't discard the law like the antinomians do (more on them in a later email). Lawlessness is of the devil.

The grace that saved me teaches me TO DENY ungodliness and worldly lusts AND to live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world (Titus 2). At those times when my mind is prone to wander, or my mouth wants to sin, then I need to go to the law because I'm moving into THE
    LAWLESS/DISOBEDIENT/UNGODLY/SINNERS/UNHOLY/PROFANE/WHOREMONGER/DEFILED/LIAR
ARENA. The law is for the lawless. And whenever we feel we are about to go out of bounds we need to whip down the law on our own self. If we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. I don't typically just keep going in the wrong direction. When I see I'm wrong, I start warring against wrong. I don't want to be obstinate and then the Lord has to do something drastic in my life. As a result, my walk with the Lord is steady. Not a rollercoaster ride.

When you see you are going astray, don't just be like a dumb ox going to the slaughter. CRY OUT TO THE LORD! REPENT! LOOK AT YOURSELF IN THE MIRROR OF GOD'S WORD! The Lord is GOOD. He is KIND. He is MERCIFUL. And if you try to get right--the Lord will help you. Everytime you resist sin, you get stronger. Your senses are exercised and you'll begin moving on to perfection
    (ref. Heb 6).

In summary: The law is not made for a righteous man. Insofar as I am doing right, I don't need it. But when we feel ourselves about to sin and go in the wrong direction, we need to go back and revisit the law. Don't just let yourself go in any direction. Keep under your body and bring it into
subjection to the gospel. For example, the Lord commands us to meditate in his law night and day--don't go two months without reading the word. You better make your hands pick it up and your eyes read it. That's keeping the body under subjection. You are not going to receive a crown except you strive LAWFULLY. We must run this Christian race according to the truth, the Bible. Not according to man's rules. I used to run track. If you didn't follow the rules and regulations, you were disqualified even if you came in first place at the finish line. Same thing in this Christian race. You may look to others like you are doing good, but if you are not running the race according to the parameters of God's word you are disqualified--

II Timothy 2:5 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he NOT
    CROWNED, EXCEPT HE STRIVE LAWFULLY.

    *****************GOD HATES SIN**********

All this talk about our sin may be uninteresting to somebody--that somebody needs to wake up. Your sin will DECEIVE you all the way into hell. God hates sin. It is only by the beloved Lord Jesus Christ that we are even accepted by God. God is angry with the wicked EVERY DAY. Not some days, EVERYDAY. God HATES evil. Even the earth groans under a wicked man. Don't minimize your sins. Let them be maximized in your sight. Learn to abhor sin.

If you are a fornicator, adulterer, porno watcher, liar, thief, defiled
human being, please don't deceive yourself into thinking that God is happy
with you. I can unequivocally tell you from the word that He is mad at you
and your unrighteous, unholy deeds. Don't deceive yourself. REPENT and bring forth works meet for repentance.

    Psalms

7:11 God judgeth the righteous, and GOD IS ANGRY WITH THE WICKED
    EVERY DAY.

    Psalms

5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: THOU HATEST ALL
    WORKERS OF
    INIQUITY.

    Psalms

11:5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but THE WICKED AND HIM THAT
    LOVETH VIOLENCE HIS SOUL HATETH.

I can hear the antinomian say, "I am not holy but I am positionally
righteous!" Anyone that has that testimony is GREATLY DECEIVED.

Galatians 6:7 *BE NOT DECEIVED*; God is not mocked: for whatsoever
a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

1 Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not
inherit the kingdom of God? *BE NOT DECEIVED*: neither
fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor
    abusers of themselves with mankind,
6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor
extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

*************** "GOD WILL KILL YOU." ***************

God is serious about His word. Antinomians think that He is playing and that is why they live as they do. Then they justify their sinfulness with
scriptures taken out of context. As one preacher said, "If you want to play, go to Toys R Us and get yourself a bat and a ball. Don't play with God."

Sometimes as I am waking up, the Lord will put a scripture or truth in my
mind for me to think about. One morning, I woke up with, "God will kill
you." That statement may sound a little disconcerting. I did not think that
the Lord was going to kill me. The impression in my spirit is that God is
serious about His word and He will slay ALL those who take His word
lightly--me or anybody else--no matter how spiritual we seem. The scripture that He gave me to go with this truth is found in Exodus and concerns the
    man Moses.

In Exodus chapter 3, the angel of the LORD appeared unto Moses in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. God eventually tells Moses that He is going to send Moses to Pharaoh. The exchange between Moses and the LORD continues on into chapter 4. In chapter 4 verse 18, Moses seeks leave of his father-in-law (Jethro) to go to Egypt. Jethro gives his blessing, and Moses packs up his wife and sons. But look at verse 24. It comes on you abruptly--

Exodus 4:24 And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the
LORD met him, and sought to kill him.

4:25 Then Zipporah [Moses' wife] took a sharp stone, and cut off
the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely
a bloody husband art thou to me.

4:26 SO HE LET HIM GO: then she said, A bloody husband thou art,
    because of the circumcision.

When I read this the other day, I had to look at it a few times. God had
just sent Moses back to Egypt to deliver the people. I tried to figure out
WHY the LORD met Moses in the inn and sought to KILL him (v. 24). I kept
gazing at it and considering it. Moses' wife Zipporah obviously saw what was going on and knew why the LORD sought to kill Moses. She circumsized her son and threw the foreskin at Moses' feet. SO THEN THE LORD LET MOSES' GO. Zipporah called Moses a bloody husband.

In order to understand why God sought to slay Moses, we have to go back some 400 years before Moses. God told Abraham--

Genesis 17:14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his
foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his
people; he hath broken my covenant.

Moses knew about the Abrahamic covenant and its seal of circumcision. It is obvious that Zipporah did not like the idea of it and Moses forwent
circumcizing his son. But God did not forget His command that every man
child be circumsized. He sought to kill a rebellious Moses in verse 24. When the command was obeyed (i.e., the child was circumsized), the LORD let Moses go. God went on to use Moses, but if that child had not been circumcized, God would have slain him like he'd slay any other rebel. He would have raised up somebody else besides Moses to go stand before Pharaoh.

Don't that think you are greater than Moses and that God somehow winks on your evil. Likewise, I also will not think that I am some special case. I am not. If the Father would bruise His only begotten, perfect, righteous, holy, beloved Son on a cross for sins don't think He would not search out our trespasses. God will by no means clear the guilty.

    ************LOVE THE TRUTH************

II Thessalonians tells us why the people in these last times are DECEIVED--

2 Thessalonians 2:10 And with all DECEIVABLENESS of unrighteousness in them that perish; BECAUSE THEY RECEIVED NOT THE LOVE OF THE TRUTH, THAT THEY MIGHT BE SAVED.

Many people do not love the truth so unrightouesness deceives them. They will not receive the truth because it goes against their feelings and
practices and traditions. They love deception more than truth--

II Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall SEND them
strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:2:12 That they all might be damned WHO BELIEVED NOT THE TRUTH, BUT HAD PLEASURE IN UNRIGHTEOUSNESS.

Oh dear, precious ones. LOVE the truth! Be not satisfied with a doctrine
until you have searched the scriptures diligently FOR YOURSELF. Jesus said to the Father, "THY WORD IS TRUTH". Love the TRUTH and search it diligently. Ask the Lord to remove any distortions from your eyes so that you can read the Bible without preconceived false notions. An example. Alberto Rivera was a Jesuit priest. He said that when he would "preach" he would read John 3:16. That verse says nothing about Mary (even in a Catholic Bible), but he
would read it like this IN HIS MIND--

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son (and
Mary) that whosoever believeth in [them] should not perish, but
    have everlasting life.

His distorted Catholic doctrine affected his reading just like a
dispensationalist that says that I Thessalonians 5:9 teaches a
pre-tribulation rapture. Dr. Rivera said that the devil does not mind you
having a Bible AS LONG AS YOU DO NOT READ IT CORRECTLY. Let us ask the Lord to free us from all distortions. Jesus is the TRUTH (John 14:6) and He said that all that worship the Father must worship Him in spirit and in TRUTH--FOR THE FATHER SEEKETH SUCH TO WORSHIP HIM. God wants TRUE worshippers. People who worship Him according to REALITY and TRUTH. Not fables and made up doctrine.

    *********CONCLUSION**********

    Ephesians 4:17-32

2 Timothy 2:7 Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.

    for Jesus' sake,

    http://www.jesus-is-lord.com

...they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD. And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious
    house.

THE KING JAMES BIBLE IS THE PURE WORD UNCORUPTED

Of late there I've been an onslaught of material published concerning the issue of which translation is best, or which one is the inerrant word of God. Of the two camps (one camp supporting modern translations, the other supporting the King James Bible), two things are abundantly clear. First, the view in favor of modern translations bases its view solely on the wisdom, intellect, and textual findings of man. Second, the view supporting the King James Bible does so not only by bringing to light factual evidence which underlines the majority of manuscripts, but also establishes its points on a scriptural basis.

This is quite clear in a recent publication by Dr. John MacArthur entitled "The Biblical Position On The KJV Controversy". In this 30 Page booklet, Dr. MacArthur does everything except. present the Biblical position on the King Jams controversy. Not one Scripture is ever given to support his position in favor of modern translations. The only time Scripture is ever used It to try to show some "errors" in the King James Bible Such are the attacks by the higher and lower critics who set In judgment of God's holy word.

Therefore, I felt the need to present the Biblical view of this controversy. No point is presented by man's wisdom, intellect or textual theory. All points are underlined and fortified by God's word. When we state that the Bible is infallible and without error, we mean what we say- not, as the modern Translators believe, that the Bible was infallible but through the process of time has lost its infallibility.
This paper is presented in outline form and gives only a brief survey of the issue at hand. It is dedicated to the living Word, my Saviour Jesus Christ. If but one person reads it and begins to believe God's every word (Matthew 4:4), it will have been a job well done.
'But speaking the truth in love, ...' —Ephesians 4:15

A BRIEF REVIEW OF THE BIBLE ISSUE:
    I. A Biblical Starting Point.

"So then faith cometh by hearings and hearing by the word of God." —Rom. 10:17
    A. The Starting point for this issue must be Scripture! "...let God be true, but every man a liar;" —Rom. 3:4

    1. God's word is infallible, without error (John 17:17; Acts l:3). In His infallible word, God promises to keep His words (note: W-0-R-D-S, not messages). Not one word was to be in error.

"The words of the Lord are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, 0 Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." —Psalm 12:6-7
For verily I say unto you, till heaven and earth pass, one jot or tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled." —Matt. 5:18

"Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." —Matt. 24:35

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." —I Peter 1:23

    2. Man was not to add to or take from God's word (Deuteronomy 4:2; Prov. 30:6; Revelation 22:18).

    3. Therefore, the keeping of God's word is God's job, not fallible man's.
"...Thou shalt keep them, 0 Lord, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever." —Psalm 12:7

    4. This was the view of the translators of the King James Bible (KJB).
Note how they concluded their preface to the A.V. 1611:
"...we commend thee to God, and to the Spirit of His grace, which is able to build further than we can ask or think. He removeth the scales from our eyes, the veil from our hearts, opening our wits that we may understand His word, enlarging our hearts, yea, correcting our affections, that we may love it above gold and silver, that we may love it to the end." (See enclosed information, "Appendix 2")

If you start with Scripture, your finishing point is confidence in God's word.
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." —I Thess. 2:13

    B. The starting point of modern translations.

    1. First the student must study Hebrew and Greek.

    2. Second he must learn the major points of textual criticism.

    3. Then he makes a translation of the Bible, presents it to a translational board for review and revision by scholars.

    4. The outcome is a reliable translation, but not one free of error. Note how the preface to the New International Version (NIV) reads:
"Like all translations of the Bible, made as they are by imperfect man, this one undoubtedly falls short of its goals."

    5. This view is also seen in the statement of Dr. William Shedd:
"Why did not God Inspire the copyists as well as the original authors? Why did He begin with ABSOLUTE inerrancy and end with RELATIVE inerrancy?"
Psalm 118:8— "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man."

II. The Question of Final Authority.
    A. If you have two authorities and they differ, you need a third authority to tell you which one is correct. (Such as in the courtroom). The same is true of translations. If the KJB says one thing and the NASV (New American Standard Version) says something else, you need a third authority to tell you which one is right (such as a pastor, teacher, scholar, etc.). When you do, then they become your final authority, not the Bible (Psalm 118:8).

    B. To say there is no difference between modern translations and the KJB is not correct. The modern translations are based on Roman Catholic manuscripts and differ from the Greek text of the KJB 5,788 times! Translations such as the NASV differ from the KJB 36,000 times in the N.T. alone! (See enclosed information, "A Brief History of Modern Translations:" and "A Brief Comparison of Bible Translations.")

    C. Modern translations have no real authority other than the view of some scholars. Scholarship is not a deciding factor in relation to the preservation of God's word. Our Lord does not say kind things concerning scholars. Note what Malachi 2:12 says, "The Lord will cut off the scholar, out of the tabernacles of Jacob, and him that offereth an offering unto the Lord of hosts."

    D. We should take heed In how we judge God's word, for one day God's word will judge us.
"For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." —Heb. 4:12-13

A BRIEF HISTORY OF MODERN TRANSLATIONS:
"Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit: but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit." —Matt. 7:17-18
    Note the roots of corruption.
    I. Justin Martyr (100 A.D.)

    A. He was born a pagan, and died in the robes of a pagan priest.

    B. He was the first to mix Gnosticism with Christianity. Gnosticism was a heretical doctrine which taught that Christ was created by God the Father. Funk and Wagnall's Standard Dictionary defines Gnosticism as "A philosophical and religious system (first to sixth century) teaching that knowledge rather than faith was the key to salvation." Many scholars today place their knowledge above faith in God's word.

"So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" —Rom. 10:17

    C. Historian Dr. Benjamin G. Wilkinson wrote, "In the teachings of Justin Martyr, we begin to see how muddy the stream of pure Christian doctrine was running among the heretical seats fifty years after the death of the apostle John."
("Which Bible?". ed. Dr. David 0. Fuller, Grand Rapids International Pub., Grand Rapids, Mica., 49501, p. 191)

    II. Tatian (150 A.D.)

    A. He was a disciple of Justin Martyr.

    B. Like Martyr, he also embraced Gnosticism.

    C. Tatian wrote a harmony of the gospels using the Christian Scriptures and the Gnostic gospels, thus omitting Scripture (such as John 8:1-11; and Mark 16.9-20).

    D. His. "Harmony of the Gospels" was so corrupt that the Bishop of Syria threw out 200 copies.
III. Clement of Alexandria (200 A.D.)

    A. Clement was a disciple of Tatian (Remember Luke 6:40-"The disciple is not above his master: but everyone that is perfect shall be as his master.")
    B. Clement taught that there was no real heaven or hell, no blood atonement of Christ, and no infallible Bible.
    C. He used the Gnostic Scriptures to teach his students.
    D. He founded the school of Theology in Alexandria Egypt.

    IV. Origen (184-254 A.D.)

    A. Origen was a disciple of Clement of Alexandria.

    B. He held to the same doctrine as Clement, plus he taught baptism was necessary for babies to gain salvation.

    C. Origen stated, "The Scriptures are of little use to those who understand them as they are written." (Ibid. p. 192).

    D. Dr. Wilkinson stated, "When we come to Origen, we speak the name of him who did the most of all to create and give direction to the forces of apostasy down through the centuries." (Ibid.).

    E. Origen was one of the first textual critics. His textual work in both the N.T. and the O.T. (the "Hexapla") was the basis for two of the most corrupt manuscripts used by the Roman Catholic Church. (Vaticanus and Sinaiticus).

    F. Origen developed a method of Biblical interpretation which is called "allegorization". Origen believed the Bible was only a set of stories that illustrate truth, but not literal facts. He believed Christ to be created and subordinate to the Father (the same as Jehovah's Witnesses), the pre-existence of the soul before birth (the same as the Mormons), and the final restoration of all spirits (Universal Salvation). (see Dr. Earle Cairns "Christianity Through The Centuries", Zondervan Publishing House, p. 122).
    V. Eusebius (260-340 A.D.)

    A. He was trained at Origen's school in Alexandria.

    B. Eusebius was the editor of two Greek manuscripts (mss.) named Vaticanus and Sinaiticus. These two mss. were discredited and abandoned by early Christians as being corrupt. ("Which Bible?" p. 139,143).
These are Roman Catholic mss. and were not used by Protestant Christians until 1881. These two mss. are the basis for Roman Catholic Bibles and every major English translation of the Bible since 1901. These mss. were not the ones used for the King James Bible.

    C. Eusebius was Roman Catholic in his doctrine (see his book, "Ecclesiastical History", Vols. 1-5).

    D. He was commissioned by Emperor Constantine to make 50 copies of Scripture for the Roman church. Eusebius copied the Gnostic Scriptures and Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.
    VI. Jerome (340-420 A.D.)

    A. Like Eusebius, Jerome was Roman Catholic in doctrine.
    B. Jerome translated the Greek mss. of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus into Latin (called Jerome's Latin Vulgate). This was the official Bible of the Roman Catholic Church.
    C. The ms. Vaticanus was placed in the Vatican library, while the ms. Sinaiticus was abandoned in a Catholic monastery, and they were not used for the next 1,500 years.
    VII. Tischendorf (1869)

    A. He was the first Protestant to find and use the mss. of Vaticanus and Sinaiticus.
    B. Tischendorf was a liberal theologian.
    VIII. Westcott and Hort (1881)

    A. They used Vaticanus and Sinaiticus to produce a new Greek N.T.. This Greek N.T. is not the same as the one used for the KJB nor during the Reformation.

    B. Their Greek N.T. was the basis for the Revised Version (RV) of 1881 and the basic Greek text for all modern translations such as the RSV, TEV, NASV, N.TV, etc.

    C. The Greek text of Westcott and Hort (W & H) differs from the Greek text of the King James Bible (the Received Text) 5,788 times, or 10% of the text. (For examples, see the section "A Brief Comparison of Bible translations".)

    D. Since all modern translations are based on the work of W & H, it would do us well to know the theology of these two men.
WESTCOTT: "I wish I could see to what forgotten truth Mariolatry (Mary-worship) bears witness."

"No one now, I suppose, holds that the first three chapters of Genesis, for example, give a literal history I could never understand how anyone reading them with open eyes could think they did."

HORT: "Mary-worship and Jesus-worship have very much in common."
"Protestantism is only parenthetical and temporary."
"The pure Romish view (Catholic) seems to be nearer, and more likely to lead to the truth than the Evangelical."
"Evangelicals seem to me perverted rather than untrue."
These men did not hold to sound doctrine; instead they have turned, "...away their ears from the truth, and she be turned unto fables." —2 Tim. 4:4

NOTE: Where the KJB and the Catholic Bible (such as the New American Bible) differ, the NIV and the NASV agree with the Catholic Bible. The Bible says, "For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: —2 Corinthians 2:17a. The prophet Amos wrote, "Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord." —Amos 8:11

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE KING JAMES BIBLE AND ITS GREEK TEXT:
    I. Believers at Antioch (1st. century)

    A. The believers in Antioch were the first to be called "Christians" (Acts 11:26).

    B. Since Antioch is in Syria, they translated the Bible into Old Syrian. This Bible agrees with the KJB and not the Catholic line of mss.

    C. The believers at Antioch copied the Scriptures in both Syrian and Greek on papyrus (a paper-like material).
II. Believers in Greece (1st.-3rd. century)

    A. They used the Greek text of Antioch and rejected the Greek text of Alexandria Egypt as corrupt. (Fuller, p. 194-215).
    B. This is the church which departed from Rome and the Catholic church in the 4th century. History shows that the text of the KJB always goes away from the Roman Catholic Church. This being a historical fact, then why go back to Rome to make a new translation?

    C. These believers copied Scripture on papyrus in both Greek and Old Latin (not Jerome's Latin Vulgate, but Old Latin). This Bible was translated in 150 A.D. and agrees in its text with the KJB, not the modern translations.

III. Believers in Northern Italy (3rd.-12th century)
    A. They copied and used the Old Latin Bible and rejected the vulgate as corrupt.
    B. These believers were called "Waldensens" and were known for the evangelism they did and the street preaching.
    C. During the Inquisitions by the Catholic church, the Waldensens were the believers who were put to death (see "Foxe's Book of Martyr's")

IV. Believers in Early England and France (2nd.-17th. century)
    A. They used the Old Latin Bible of the Waldensens as the official translation. They also copied the Greek text which later came to be called the Receptus.
    B. These believers were very evangelistic and suffered much under Rome.
    V. Erasmus (1466-1536 A.D.)
    A. Erasmus compiled the Greek mss. of the believers in Greece, Italy, England, and France and the Old Syrian and Latin translations to produce the Greek N.T. the Reformers used.
    B. Note, this was the Greek text of the Reformation. This line always goes away from Rome.
    VI. Luther (16th. century)
    A. Luther translated the Bible into German using the text of Erasmus. He rejected the Greek text of the Catholic church (the text modern translations use).
    B. Luther was the father of the Reformation.
VII. The King James Bible (1611)
    A. The N.T. was translated off the Greek text of the Reformation. The translators rejected Jerome's Vulgate and the Catholic Bible.

    B. The translators were men of God who knew their task. Note the following concerning a few of the translators of the Y-M.
    1. Dr. Lansalot Andrews He was the chairman. He spoke 20 languages. He spent 5 hours a day in prayer. (see E. M. Bound, "Power Through Prayer" p. 33).
    2. Dr. John Reynolds, Puritan leader. He spoke Hebrew and Greek as well as he could English by the time he was 18 years old.
    3. Dr. John Boise He spoke Hebrew by the time he was 5 Years old. By the time he was 14 years old he spoke Greek. He spent from 4:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. studying each day.

    4. Dr. Miles Smiths He spoke Chaldee, Syriac, and Arabic as well as he could English. He also served with Dr. Thomas Bilson as one of the two final editors of the whole King James Bible.
    5. Dr. William Bedwell: He was called the father of Arabic studies in England. He wrote Lexicons in Arabic, Hebrew, Syriac and Chaldean. (Note: a Lexicon is like a Dictionary telling the meaning of words and their root meaning).

    6. Dr. Thomas Holland: Not only was he a great Hebrew and Greek scholar, but a man of great dedication to God. His dying words were, "Come, 0 come, Lord Jesus, Thou Morning Star! Come, Lord Jesus; I desire to be dissolved and to be with Thee."

    7. Dr. Laurence Chaderton: He was noted for his knowledge of Latin, Hebrew and Greek. He also spoke French, Spanish, and Italian ' Because of his Christian faith his father cut him off from his family. People enjoyed his preaching so much that they would beg him to preach even after he had just preached a two hour sermon! He was committed to personal witnessing. He said of his household servants, "I desire as much to have my servants know the Lord as myself."

    8. All the translators of the KJB suffered under the reign of Queen Mary (also called "Bloody Mary") before James became King of England. This is the only Bible committee to suffer persecution of their faith.
NOTE: For more information on the above translators and the others, see "Which Bible?" pp. 13-24, or the book by Dr. Gustavus S. Paine, "The Men Behind The KJB"
    C. The text of the KJB is the same today as it was in 1611, (see enclosed "A Brief Summary of Some Objections to the King James Bible", V.)
    D. The translators of the KJB believed they translated the pure word of God. (see Appendix 2).
    E. The Greek text of the KJB is based on the majority of all Greek mss. and the line of Bible Believers throughout Church history.
    F. The KJB is the Bible of the Great Awakening, the Well's Revival, the preaching of Edwards, Wesley, Moody, Carry, Hudson Taylor, Sunday, Spurgeon, etc., and every major revival from 1611 until now! No modern translation (or its Greek text) can make the same claim.
Matthew 12:33 "Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known of his fruit."

    1. The tree of the modern translation is corrupt, how can the translation be good?
    2. The tree of the KJB is pure, how can the translation be bad?
    3. The fruit of the KJB is Reformation and Revival, not Rome.
    4. The modern translation says it is with error, the KJB says it is without error. Which one would you want to read???
    5. The Bible always calls for choices (Josh. 24:15); this is also true in reading a Bible translation. You must choose which one you will read. Do so, not by what men say, but by the Word of God.

A BRIEF COMPARISON OF BIBLE TRANSLATIONS:
"Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump.?" —1 Corinthians 5:6
(Leaven In the Bible is false teaching —Matt. 16:12)
    I. Comparing the KJB with any modern translation of the Bible will show the following:
Colossians. 1:14 "Through his blood" is omitted.
    Acts 17:26 "Blood!' is omitted.
1 John 5:7 The part of the verse proving the Trinity is omitted.
I Tim. 3:16 "God was manifest in the flesh" is changed to "He who was
made manifest in the flesh," thus weakening the doctrine of the Deity of Christ.
Luke 2:33 "Joseph" is changed to "Father" thus calling Joseph the father of Christ.
John 5:4 The whole verse is omitted.
Acts 8:37 The whole verse is omitted.
Mark 9:44,46 These verses are omitted in all modern versions.
Romans 16:24 The whole verse is omitted.
Matthew 18:11 The whole verse is omitted.
Matthew 12:47 The whole verse is omitted.
Mark 11:26 The whole verse is omitted.
Mark 15:28 The whole verse is omitted.
Mark 16:9-20 This passage is either omitted in the modern versions or placed in brackets with a footnote stating that it should not be there.
John 8:l-11 This passage is either omitted or placed In brackets with a footnote stating that it should not be there.
Acts 15:34 The whole verse is omitted.
Acts 2417 The whole verse is omitted.
Acts 28:29 The whole verse is omitted.
Romans 811 Half of the verse is omitted.
Romans 1:16 The phrase "of Christ" is omitted.
Matthew 6:13 Half of the verse is omitted in the modern versions.
I Peter 2:2 The phrase "unto salvation" or "in regard to your salvation" is added to the text in modern versions to teach salvation by works.
Matthew 9:13 "To repentance" is omitted.
Mark 2:17 "To repentance" is omitted.
I John 4:3 "Christ is come in the flesh" is omitted
John 1:18 "Begotten Son" is changed to "Begotten God" in the NASV. This is also how it reads in the New World Translation of the Jehovah's Witnesses. These are only a few of the 36,000 changes made. In light of Scripture, one change is one too many (Deuteronomy 4:2; Prov. 30:6; Revelation 22:18).
II. In reading the KJB, NIV and NASV, you can see that they do not teach the same thing:
    2 Samuel 21:19
KJB: "...Elhanan slew the brother of Goliath..."
    NIV: "...Elhanan killed Goliath..."
    NASV: "...Elhanan killed Goliath..."
    Daniel 3:25
KJB: "He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God."
NIV: "He said, Look! I see four men walking around in the fire, unbound and unharmed and the fourth looks like a son of the gods.
NASV: He answered and said, Look! I see four men loosed and walking about In the midst of the fire, without ham, and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods."
    Genesis 6:4
KJB: "There were giants in the earth..."
NIV: "The Nephilim were on the earth..."
NASV: "The Nephilim were on the earth..."
    Genesis 7:1
KJB: "And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou ... into the ark;"
NIV: "The Lord then said to Noah, Go into the ark,..."
NASV: "Then the Lord said to Noah, Enter the ark,..."
NOTE: There is a difference between "Come" and "Go". The KJB shows that the Lord was in the ark with Noah and his family.
    I Samuel 13:1
KJB: "Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,"
NIV: "Saul was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned over Israel forty two years."
NASV: "Saul was forty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned thirty-two years over Israel."
NOTE: How old was Saul when he began to reign, 30 or 40? How long did he reign, 42 or 32 years? The RSV and the New Scofield Reference Bible read, "Saul was ______ years old...".
    I Corinthians 7:36
KJB: "But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin,..."
NIV: "If anyone thinks he is acting improperly toward the virgin he is engaged to,...."
NASV: "But if any man thinks that he is acting unbecomingly toward his virgin daughter,..."
NOTE: is it his virgin daughter or the virgin he is engaged to?
    The Bible says:
[SIZE=+1]"Can two walk together, except they be agreed?" —Amos 3:3[/SIZE]

[SIZE=+1]The Modern Translation omits the name of Christ almost 200 times.!!! [/SIZE]
Christ must have preeminence in all things (Colossians. 1.18). This includes translations of the Bible. The Bible God honors is the Bible that honors God!BRIEF SUMMARY OF SOME OBJECTIONS TO THE KING JAMES BIBLE:
The following are some objections people use against the KJB, followed by Biblical answers.

People who use the KJB only, worship a Bible and not the God of the Bible.

    A. You can not make such a distinction between the Word of God in flesh (Jesus Christ) and the word of God in print (the King James Bible). If the word of God in print has error, what about the word of God in flesh? No, both are infallible.

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." —I Peter l:23

    B. God's word is holy, there is no honor in trying to prove the Bible
has error In it. Note the following Scriptures.
"I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name." —Psalm 138:2

"Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments." —Psalm 119:164

"Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." —John 14:23

    I. Only the originals are inspired and without error, not any translation.
    A. Where is this taught In Scripture?
    B. In the following Scripture, Paul calls copies (not originals) inspired Scripture. Therefore, more than just the originals are inspired and without error. Any of the words God gives are inspired.

"And that from a child thou hast known the holy Scriptures, which is able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus, All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction In righteousness." —2 Tim. 3:15-16

II. There is no difference between the KJB and modern translations.
    A. The Creek mss. of the modern translations and the Greek mss. of the KJB differ about 10% of the time.
    B. Ninety-six percent (96%) of all Creek mss. are of the same type as the KJB.
    C. When dealing with translations themselves, there are over 36,000 differences between them and the KJB in the N.T. alone. Dr. Jack Lewis, who was one of the translators of the NIV, even stated this. When he compared the KJB and the ASV of 1909, he wrote...
"...in the end more than 36,191 corrections of various sorts were made in the N.T.. These included changes resulting from alterations in the Greek text itself, changes where the KJB appears to have chosen the poorer of the two readings, changes where the KJB is ambiguous or obscure, changes where the KJB is not consistent with itself in rendering phrases or passages that are alike or parallel, and changes that are required because of other changes made." ("The English

Bible/ From the KJV To NIV"; P. 70.)
While I do not agree with Dr. Lewis's statement, he points out the number of differences between the KJB and modern translations.
IV. The KJB is too hard to understand. The modern translation is better than nothing.

    A. The Bible is a spiritual book, and cannot be understood by natural means, such as changing the words. As one preacher said, the Bible needs to be reread, not revised.

    B. The Bible must be revealed by the Holy Spirit, not translators using Roman Catholic mss.

"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God." —l Corinthians 2:9-10
"It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter." —Proverb 25:2
Fifty years ago people read the KJB and understood it. Our language has not changed that much in such a short period of time.

    C. A little error counts a great deal. The Bible says, "Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?" —l Corinthians 5:6. Therefore, the modern translation is not better than nothing at all when we have a Bible that is 100% error free and the Holy Spirit to teach it to us.

    V. The KJB we have today is not the same as the one in 1611.

    A. This is not true! The KJB we have today is the same as the one in 1611. Not a word of the text was changed. The American Bible Society wrote, "The English Bible, as left by the translators (of 1611), has come down to us unaltered in respect to its text..." They further stated, "With the exception of typographical errors and changes required by the progress of orthography in the English language, the text of our present Bible remains unchanged and without variation from the original copy as left by the translators."

    B. Calligraphy: This is the change in the way letters were used. For example the word "gave" would have been written as "gaue" in 1611. The reason was the letter "v" was written as "u". This is not changing the text as the NIV does.

    C. Orthography: This is the change in spelling. Some words today are spelled differently than they were in 1611. For example, the word "took" was spelled "tooke". Again, this does not change the text as the NASV did 36,000 times.
"And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." —John 8:32
"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth." —John 17:17
My friends, God said He would keep His words, without error, forever (Psalm 12:6-7; 119:89,140; Matthew 5:17; 24:35). If He did not do this, then the whole Bible is a lie. However, the Lord is always true to His word. Why not ask Christ which Bible honors Him the most and use the Bible with no corruption?
"Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, 0 Lord God of hosts." —Jeremiah 15:16

The Roman Catholic "Church" is Not Christian

Those of you who have ears, let them hear

Practically all precepts of the Roman Catholic institution contradict the Bible repeatedly. It is the largest cult in the world and most preachers will not openly say so because it is so large. For Catholics who read this, please remember this: the person that tells you the truth is the one that cares.

For a glimpse of the atrocities committed by the Roman Catholic institution, check out the Antichrist Slideshow or do a net search on the Inquisition or the Crusades. During the Inquisition, the Roman Catholic institution killed millions. Why? Primarily to suppress any and all opposition to her heresies. Side "benefits" included taking the material wealth of its victims and showing the pope's power. The Catholic Inquisitors tortured, crippled, burned, and imprisioned millions of people. Whatever happened to love your enemies? (Matthew 5:44)

Before we get to specific problems with Catholic doctrine, let's review how this bloodthirsty organization treated a man who simply wanted to get the Bible into the hands of the common people. In the late 1300s John Wycilf translated the scriptures from the Latin. About 44 years after his death, the Catholic institution dug up his bones and burned them calling him an arch-heretick. In the 1500's William Tyndale sought to translate the Bible into the language of the common people, English. He could not gain approval from the Catholic institution, so he worked as an outlaw on the run in Europe, translating the Bible. He was eventually captured, condemned and executed in 1536.

It is because of people like these men, Tyndale and Wycliffe, that we have the scriptures today. If the Catholic religion had its way, we'd still be in ignorance about the Bible and enslaved to the pope. Time fails me here to tell of other marytrs like John Hus, John Rogers, etc. who were killed by popish persons. Guy Fawkes and other papists (followers of the pope) tried to kill King James VI & I (the king who commanded the translation of the Authorised Version of the Bible (also known as the Authorized King James Version), published in 1611) and the whole British parliament, in the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. King James identified Rome as the seat of the antichrist in his, "Premonition [warning] to All Most Mightie Monarches."

I'll list the catholic tradition first and then what the Bible has to say about the matter.

CATHOLIC TRADITION - Call priests father, e.g., Father McKinley.

    WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS -
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Forbidding the priesthood to marry.

    WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS -
    1) It is devilish to forbid God's people to marry when He has given marriage to be received with thanksgiving.
1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

    2) Peter was married (remember the pope is supposedly continuing the apostolic line through Peter).

Matthew 8:14 And when Jesus was come into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother laid, and sick of a fever.

Mark 1:30 But Simon's wife's mother lay sick of a fever, and anon they tell him of her.

Luke 4:38 And he arose out of the synagogue, and entered into Simon's house. And Simon's wife's mother was taken with a great fever; and they besought him for her.

    3) Paul, a great apostle, remained single; however he made it very clear that he could marry if he wanted to.
    1 Corinthians9:5
Have we not power to lead about a sister, a wife, as well as other apostles, and as the brethren of the Lord, and Cephas?
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Mary never had other children after the Lord Jesus. She remained a perpetual virgin.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - After Mary delivered our precious Lord Jesus Christ into the world Joseph did know his wife. Joseph and Mary indeed had children together, plenty of them. They were the Lord's half brothers and sisters for their father was Joseph and mother was Mary.
Matthew 1:24-25 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: And knew her not TILL she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.

Matthew13:55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
13:56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
Mark6:3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Mary is the queen of heaven.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - Worshipping the queen of heaven (which is not the Mary of the Bible) is worshipping another god and it provokes the Lord to anger.
    Jeremiah
7:17 Seest thou not what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem? 7:18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. 7:19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Mary is the mother of God.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - Mary is the mother of the earthly Jesus, not God. Jesus pre- existed from everlasting as God (see John 1:1). When He came to redeem mankind, He laid aside His glory and was made like unto sinful man so that He could take our punishment (Hebrew 2:9). God has no mother. He has lived from everlasting which means He had no beginning.
    Isaiah
43:10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me. [If Mary gave birth to God, she'd be God.]

Psalm 93:2 Thy throne is established of old: thou art from everlasting.

Micah 5:2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler [Jesus] in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.
Philippians 2:6 Who [Jesus], being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Pope called Holy Father.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - The term Holy Father is only found one time in the entire Bible. It was when Jesus prayed before He and His disciples went to the garden of Gethsemane. He referred to God the Father as Holy Father. It is blasphemy to call a man by God's name
    John
17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Purgatory, nuns, popes.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - None of these is mentioned in the Bible. It is a sin to add to the Bible.
Proverbs 30:6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

The pope is a man who takes upon himself honor which belongs to no human being. Even the very name by which he allows himself to be called (Holy Father) is highly presumptuous and blasphemous (see above).
One does not need the pope to determine what God's will is. The Bible says that God has given the Holy Ghost to each believer and that He (the Holy Ghost) guides and leads us into all truth. All a believer needs is the Bible and the Holy Ghost to know the will of the Lord. Popery has been treacherous, but worse, each pope has been the blind leading the blind. Jesus said that both will fall into the ditch. Catholics, come out of this system that cannot save and know Jesus for youself, intimate and up-close.
NOTE: Purgatory is supposedly a place where a person is purified of sins--even popes supposedly go there. The Bible says that Jesus Christ is the one that purifies us of our sins. Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus.... When a person dies their eternal home is sealed--heaven or hell--no in between. Hebrews 9:27 ...it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Venerating/worshipping images. Pope bows to statues of Mary, people worship the eucharist and have statues/candles in their homes and churches.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - It is idolatry to venerate images. We are not even supposed to make them.
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God...
CATHOLIC TRADITION - The mass. Through transubstantiation, the wafer/host and the wine supposedly become the actual blood and body of Jesus Christ when the priest prays over them. He is supposed to be sacrificed over and over again on Roman Catholic altars.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - Jesus died once for sins, never to be repeated. He sits on the right hand of God and does not reappear in the mass as a mass of blood and flesh.
    Hebrews 10:12 But this man [Jesus], after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
1 Corinthians 11:24 And when he [Jesus] had given thanks, he brake it [bread], and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. 11:25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come (not for the forgiveness of sins or to receive Jesus).
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Saved, in part, by good works.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - Good works are the fruits that grow out of being saved. They do not make you saved. An apple does not make its tree an apple tree, it was already an apple tree before any apples appeared. When you see the apples; however, you know what kind of tree it is. If a person is saved, he will shew forth good works because he has the spirit of Christ in him. The good works don't make him saved only the blood of Jesus can do that.
I John 1:7b ...the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

Acts 16:31b...believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.
    Romans 3:24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 3:25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
3:26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
What about James 2:20 "faith without works is dead"?

The kind of faith that saves is a faith that shows forth the works of God. Even devils believe in Jesus and tremble (James 2:19). Many people believe in Jesus but they won't follow Him. They have a faith, but not the kind that saves. If a person has true faith in Jesus, the Holy Ghost dwells in him and will cause good works will show forth in his life. The good works confirm the faith by which the person was saved. James 2:21-23 uses Abraham as an example. Abraham believed God so when God asked him to sacrifice his son Isaac, Abraham, out of his faith in God, offered up Isaac.

CATHOLIC TRADITION - The church is founded on Peter.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - Jesus Christ is the foundation of the church. Peter was a man like you and me. Jesus called Peter Satan in Matthew 16:23 when Peter rebuked Jesus dying. When Cornelius tried to worship Peter, Peter responded, "Stand up; I myself also am a man." (Acts 10:26). The pope needs to remember Acts 10:26 when he has men bowing to him and kissing his hand like he is worthy of worship.
1 Corinthians 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Matthew 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected [Jesus], the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
CATHOLIC TRADITION - Confessing sins to a priest. Petitioning saints and Mary.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS - We are to confess our sins and needs to God alone.
I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he [God] is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Matthew 6:9, 12 After this manner...pray ye: Our Father... forgive us....

    1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus [not Mary, not saints, not priests, not the pope];
I John 2:1, ...And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
There are many other scriptures that could have been used here to testify against the doctrines of the catholic religion. There are also many other doctrines of the catholic religion which could have been refuted (e.g. the sacraments, receiving the Holy Ghost, salvation through the catholic religion, penance, rosary, etc.).

The Catholic religion has a history of taking the money of poor widows in order to say masses for the dead (which do no good) and collecting the material possessions of nuns. In Italy, the heart of Roman Catholicism, as I understand it, there is a saying that goes, "Without money, they don't sing the mass." That trickery is evil on a number of fronts--
    1) the mass is blasphemous and dishonours the finished work of Christ

    2) people who trust in the mass waste their money and go to hell

    3) their survivors waste their money and possessions having masses said for the dead

    4) the survivors go to hell and then their survivors pay for masses...the costumed curia have subverted whole houses for centuries on end collecting wealth for the coffers of the Roman Catholic institution

    5) the doctrine of purgatory is a heresy because there is no such thing as purgatory--it is not in the Bible (the apocrypha is not part of the Bible, it is a collection of spurious books); and,

    6) they blaspheme God when they put a monetary price on the gift of God because the Bible teaches that the gift of God is without price. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. No money, penance, "indulgence," masses, are required or accepted.

I've heard it said that the Roman Catholic institution is the wealthiest government in the world. It owns a good share of America's hospitals and has many real estate interests. She has a history of collecting lands and wealth through the ages. One look at her splendor confirms this. The bottom line is, if you want to get right with God, you have to go through his Son, Jesus Christ, according to his word, not the word of man and his traditions.

The Great Whore of Revelation 17
Revelation 17 talks about a woman. This woman is a whore. In fact she is a great whore (ref. Rev. 17:1)--she gets around town and gets in bed with the kings (presidents, prime ministers, vice chancellors, dictators, despots, rulers, princes, etc.) of the earth. In the name of God, she overrides God's commandments with her own traditions--she's a fornicator. This great whore sits on many waters (peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues--ref. Rev. 17:15)--she is all over the world in every nation. She has her hands in everything and has been in operation over 1600 years (history books may date her back to Constantine, but she is truly an extension of the Roman emperors even bearing their styles like pontiff). But she is a mystery, nobody knows her these days--she is MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH (ref. Rev. 17:5).

But why is she called Babylon? Because she is descended from Nebuchadnezzar's Babylon--the Bible (Daniel and the gospels) tells the story and gives the order of these four kingdoms --> (1) Babylon, (2) Medes-Persians, (3) Greece, (4) Rome who was in power during time of Christ (she never died). This whore is a drunk whore. She is drunken with the blood of the saints and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus (ref. Rev. 17:6). Are you acquainted with the Roman Catholic Inquisitions or the wiles of her pestilent Jesuits? Many, many books have been written concerning these matters, but we don't learn about these things today. Fake "Christianity" does not talk about the great whore but this is only a recent development (the church was still somewhat loud in the 1940s after WWII)--the coverup of history has been truly remarkable, but it has not been complete. The record still stands in heaven and in earth, and always will--praise the Lord for his power to reveal and make manifest the hidden works of darkness. No one need be deceived. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Please read the introductory letter near the top of our home page addressed in a yellow block to the unsaved.

Specifically on faith. What is the assurance of things hoped for. How are you assured? Is it the strength only of your own belief? What energetic manifestations occur in the world that you identify as god?

What does church, a human institution, have to do with god? God knows us in secret. You ramble on about things that mean absolutely nothing regarding the presence of god. God is not absent anywhere and this truth is dependent on your willingness to look. In time the sun goes up and it goes down. We breathe in and out until our last. All the things you mention may appear tragic in time but in gods eternal presence they happen not at all.

    *A workman approved unto God*
Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them before the Lord that they strive not about words to no profit, but to the subverting of the hearers. Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness

    - II Timothy 2:14-16

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

    -Romans 1:20

    In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

    Titus 1:2

You are ignorant and deceived to the point of never having the absolute truth revealed to you. The Church is not a human institution, it is the body of Christ simply. You rise a lot of questions but fail to read God's word that is required of Him to do so of you. Look for truth in scripture and you will be released from your captivity. You are creating a god on your terms under you wordily man wisdom.

All that comes out of your foolish mouth is STRAW MAN arguments. You are creating a straw man so you can knock it down to boast in your sins.

    Deception will cause you to--

    1. BELIEVE what is FALSE
    2. DISBELIEVE what is TRUE

A deceived person does not know that they are deceived. "That being the
case, how do I know if *I* am deceived?" You need a measure outside of yourself. That measure is the word of God. Look at your lifestyle in light of the word. Your thoughts. Your doctrinal beliefs. Be like the Bereans.[/quote]
If you believe and do not doubt you may cause a mountain to pick itself up and throw itself into the sea.

There is no measure outside of you, the measure you give is the measure you get. If you are talking about the bible being the word of god, then there is no translation independent of your own attitudes or observations. The kingdom of god is within us and can be recognized, always coming as a measure of peace. The living word of god is spoken.

You have no idea what is in my mind. What I know, what I am ignorant of. Christs church was meant to feed people not teach them theology. Only one command suffices for the whole of christs teaching, that we love one another.

thedope, read my post again, I made some edits.

Elaborate how and why Christ's body (the Church) was only meant to feed people ? Theology is a man made term. It is not biblical or truth. Theology can better be explained as Biblical criticisms by sinful men and the devils helpers.

Jesus instructions to Peter were what regarding the church? You see, devils helpers is a theological concept. The devil being part of a pantheon of supposedly supernatural entities. A hierarchical structure of supernatural places or beings is theology. Being told that I am deceived does not impress me, happens all the time. Being told I am loved would more pique my interest.

The Pope is not the sole director of the Magisterium, or the teaching office of the Church. I will touch on infallibility later, but you have a very weak grasp on the Holy Office.

Also, James I who you seem to hold in the position of prophet sought to exile all Catholics from England merely because Rome sent his Catholic wife a rosary. A slight over reaction I’d say.

Do you call your dad ‘father’? Oh wait, Jesus meant “spiritual fathers”.
Look at what Paul does: calls Isaac father (Romans 9:10), Paul writes, "I became your father in Christ Jesus” in 1 Corinthians 4:15. Look at 1 John 2:13, John writes to the “fathers”.
Jesus spoke about the specific rabbis (teachers) and so-called spiritual fathers who were hypocrites. He also says to call no man “rabbi/teacher”: what did you call your instructors in school. The English “Mister” also derives from “Master”, another titles Jesus says to call no one.

Paul says it is better not to marry actually, but “allows” the Church in Corinth to marry so they do not fall into sin. 1 Corinthians 7:7-9.

Also, not all Catholic priests are celibate: it is a disciple imposed upon the Western Rite during late antiquity. There have always been married clergy in the Eastern Church and there have been countless exceptions in the Latin Church. Currently under the ecumenical degree Anglicanorum coetibus the Roman Catholic Church has allowed Anglicans to return home after their failed experiment with married clergy.

Marriage is exalted in the Church whereas Protestants do not consider it a Sacrament. There is a reason Marriage is a Sacrament and consecrated virginity is not.

Brethren, Acts 1:12-15, totals 120. That’s a lot of kids for B.V. Mary to pump out. Brethren does not simply mean “brothers”. There is also any number of examples.
Joseph knew her not until: “Until” in this case lacks the nuance of the Greek. It does not mean “not and then after”, cf. Luke 2:37. It is not that she ceased to be a widow after because the “until” refers to the past. Just like the Virginity of the Blessed Virgin.
When Mary is called a Virgin, it simply does not mean she had not laid with a Man yet, but that she was consecrated as a Temple Virgin. When the angel tells her she will conceive, she is not alarmed because she is an engaged young maiden. Her reasoning would assume that after she was married, she would conceive like Sarah and Hagar before her. She is alarmed simply because she is a perpetual Virgin and was consecrated as such.

“Queen” as is referred to the Blessed Virgin Mary is an interpretation of a many number of verses that describe the saints receiving crowns in heaven as well as interpreting the “woman” in Revelation 12:1 as the Blessed Virgin.

Mary’s title “Mother of God” or “Mater Dei” in Latin derives from “Theotokos” in Greek which is a more accurate indication of the theology of the Mother of God. The title Theotokos is really a statement about Christ, rather than Mary. Theotokos mean God-bearer and was given to Mary when there were factions breaking off from the Church who were denying that Christ was truly and eternally God.

You are also getting into semantics. She was the Earthly mother of Jesus, God. She was literally the Mother of the Lord God on Earth. Again, you have a very feeble grasp on Catholic Theology despite what you parrot.

“Holy” is not a modifier relating to his sanctity, though the Holy Father is called to exceptional sanctity based on the fact that he is the one in whom Christ put his trust to feed and tend his sheep the Church. Again, see above why we call our priests (and even deacon) Father.

Wow, you want to play the “not found in the Bible” game?
Find the word Rapture, Trinity, the only place Faith and Alone are used together, where Sola Fide is found, then tell me Purgatory is not found.
Purgatory is not a final destination by a fulfilment of the prophecy that nothing with a stain may enter heaven. Are you telling me that when you die, you will not have unconfessed sins? Or, if confessing sins does not matter, why does Scripture tell us to confess sins? Purgatory can be its own topic of discussion. Paul also signifies baptism for the dead, a practice no longer undertaken except by Mormons. Why would Paul pray and baptize for the dead if it is either heaven or hell, no purification prior to the beatific vision. Also, purgatory and prayer for the dead are found within the books of Maccabees which Protestants removed from the Bible (among other books). What was that about a jot to tittle?
Sure the word “nun” is not found in scripture, but it is simply the condition of living a consecrated life in charity and poverty as a virgin as the B.V. Mary did. Nun also comes from the word nonna ot tutor simply as an address for the elderly.

We worship the Eucharist because it is Jesus, but more on that later.
Re: Ex 20:4 = God also commanded the Hebrews to make images of cherubim for use in liturgical worship. God violates his own commands or it is not merely the images, but the misuse and worship of them. We do not worship the images, but venerate the people depicted or worship Christ if it is himself.

    John 6, ‘nuff said.

Wait, you want more: Your feeble grasp on theology showing, we do not “re-sacrifice” Christ again and again, but make present the one and real sacrifice again. Christ’s sacrifice does not simply work once in history, but throughout time and space because God is not bound to things such as time.

Continue reading James 2:24 “Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.”
    Otherwords, NOT by faith alone.

Also, by your standard that we simply must believe would suggest that Satan, devils, and demons are saved as well because they believe.

Semantics. Peter was given a special commission by Christ to feed, tend, and protect his sheep, the Church. People tried to call Peter God, the Pope is shown signs of respect because of, in general, their call to sanctity and in accordance of the office they hold (that of the vacant seat of Christ on Earth).

James 5:16: Confess your sins to one another.

We consider the Saints who have come and gone before us to be alive in Heaven. Just as we can ask those who are alive on Earth to pray for us, surrounded by the “cloud of witnesses” as Paul writes we ask for the intercession to Christ and the Father for our intentions. We do not and have never worshiped Saints, but have respected, venerated, and marvelled at the miracles they send from Heaven.

If you want to pick one of these to really discuss at length (I am interested in your thoughts, and not those of another website http://www.jesus-is-lord.com/cath.htm ), feel free to PM me.

We cannot have assurance, for as Christ says many will call out saying they cast out spirits, but Christ will say that we knew him not.

Satan, Lucifer, the devil is not a theological concept. It is reality.

You are loved by Jesus and God and me.

It is not about impressing you in the flesh with wordily things. Look to the heavens and strive for that.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

    -John 14:6

thedope, you are showing great interest in the Word of God. I can mail you a bible if you would like. PM me if interested. (that is to say if you don't already own a King James Bible). This could be the best decision you ever make.

Ukr-cdn. I agree 100% with the article I posted from Jesus is Lord. Traci says it best, and better than I can. I give full credit to her. I am not worried or prideful that I did not comment it originally. The message speaks for itself. I fully agree with it. Why are you against truth ?

Catholic Church is blasphemy to the Word of God. They are responsible for all the abominations of the earth. They are really the Roman Empire underground. Rome never went extinct.

You can justify all the satanic elements of your cult all you want. Nothing removes it from the truth that it goes against God and his Holy Son. Catholics are heretics.

The rapture is false teaching. I do not believe in it. Nor do I believe a 1000 year reign of Christ on earth after his 2nd coming. This is escapism to allow 'professed' Christians comfort in the flesh, in the world. It is mass deception. It is not found in the bible. I go and live by the true Word of God.

I am fully aware of great deception in the Church. I am aware of the tainting of God's word through erroneous bibles such as the NIV, Catholic Bibles and the American Standard versions, and of false doctrines and other deceptions creeping in today. It is all an attack on the true body of Christ. Jesus warned us of great deception, and for good reasons. Why ? Because it is happening. The Catholic Church is the mother of it all. Truly.

People bow to the pope at the knees and kiss him...He is by no means Holy whatsoever. He is a evil man. Most of them were.

A feeble grasp on Catholic Theology despite what I parrot ? Catholic theology is anti-Christ; I can care less about it other than getting truth out there for people honestly seeking. You are not seeking. Why don't you question these false doctrines ? Why do you seem to hate the truth ?

You can refute these findings with "theology" that you have been indoctrinated with, but that does not mean it's true. It is simply what you believe. You can word it in ways to justify it in your mind but make no mistake, it is not right with God. That should concern you! Scripture is the final word, not mans self serving interpretations to bend truth to fit their satanic agenda.

I see that you have no idea what the bible really says, and that you have no foundation, true foundation of Jesus and Gods word if you are unwilling to open your eyes to actually see it for yourself. Get out of that Church.

The Vatican is sinister, truly. And if you think I have good things to say about most Protestant denomination then you are mistaken. Most Churches today have deception all over inside and out. I am for truth of God and Jesus and against error.

This is however, not a reflection how I feel about you. I love you like a brother and only want to shew you the truth. If I offend you then I hope at least you see past deception. Jesus is the ONLY ANSWER AND WAY. Not the Vatican's regulation on Christ through smoke and mirrors making it look like Christianity, when in fact it is anti-Christ.

    Taken from Jesus is Lord:

The rosary, and it's origin is indeed and abomination unto God. It spits at His Word, it denies His will, it blasphemes His Holy Spirit, and it lies to His children. This ritual needs to be exposed as evil simply because it is evil. But before you can really understand just how evil this rosary is, you need to know if it breaks the basics of God will you need to know how the Catholic is taught to use the rosary. Is it really a repetitive prayer on top of all the other apparent evils, and if so, is it also vain prayer in more than one way? So... how does one pray the rosary of Rome?

#1 Looking at the cross, Catholics hold it while they make the sign of the cross and pray the Apostles' Creed which is actually a summary of all the things Catholics are taught to believe.
    1. I won't comment on the open idolatry associated with this evil ritual, because I know most Catholics have been taught from day one to ignore that fact and do it anyway. For any Catholic reading this that needs to see the evidence of this fact, I implore you to please look in your own Catechism books and you will find Commandment #2 is completely missing. There's a reason for that. Go to Exodus chapter 20 and read the second commandment and you will understand why it's removed once you sit in your church and see all those kneelers in front of statues.
    2. Getting back... The "sign of the cross" is actually the sign of Baal. Try it and find out! Place your hand on your forehead... now place it on your chest, now on your left shoulder, and finally your right shoulder. That is NOT like the cross Christ was crucified on is it? It is depicting a cross of BAAL instead. In the Catholic Encyclopedia it states the following for the "Sign of the Cross..."
    Sign of the Cross
A term applied to various manual acts, liturgical or devotional in character, which have this at least in common: that by the gesture of tracing two lines intersecting at right angles they indicate symbolically the figure of Christ's cross. (Catholic Encyclopedia http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/13785a.htm )
The obvious problem with the Roman Catholic "sign of the cross" has to do with the reality as to WHO'S cross it really is. Once you see it illustrated you will understand easily.

If the Roman Catholic "sign of the cross" were a Christian cross, you would have to make it thusly... Place your hand on your forehead... now place it on your groin, now on your left shoulder, and finally your right shoulder. That is NOT what the Roman Catholic church demands. They are actually having their congregation make the sign of BAAL on their bodies and NOT a cross that depicts the cross Christ was crucified on. Notice the shocking revelation in the following pic that most are totally unaware of.

Here you can actually see that the main area of the cross the Roman Church would have their followers use resembles that of Baal's cross. The cross of Baal is more like the "plus sign" on your keyboard than a cross Rome used to kill people with. The arms of the cross of Baal equal in length to the vertical staff of the cross. However, in the Roman Catholic "sign of the cross" an interesting revelation comes to light. Not only do the arms equal in length to the staff, but you can also see that the horizontal portion of the cross is inverted somewhat, thus making the Roman Catholic sign of the cross more likely the inverted cross of the church of Satan. You can see this verified as their true reason for the "sign of the cross" in the following pic of Pope John Paul at a mass in Jerusalem back in the year 2000... [IMG]

In essence, every Catholic that makes this "sign of the cross" is showing their allegiance to Satan and Baal at the same time. Fact is, Baal is just another name for Satan. Without going into the other fourteen points for the Rosary, one can see that right off the bat, the Rosary is an evil ritual designed by Satan himself.

As I was doing research for this page a subscriber to my Newsletter sent me the following information regarding the "sign of the cross."
Have just received and read your article concerning the meaning of the RCC crossing themselves. I would like to share with you something I heard recently - I do not know how much truth there is to it - and, you have may have already heard this before.

At the time of Jesus' trial when He was in to see Pilate and Pilate came out to ask of the crowd what he should do with this man, their answer being "crucify him," the crowd was so large that those out towards the fringes could not heard due to the distance and the shoutings of others. Because they wanted to have their opinion to be known, they resorted to a visual representation of using their hands across their bodies which could be seen since they could not be heard from such a distance. Knowing how a person is spread out on a cross, they made this visual "signing" as their method of communicating their wish to "crucify him." That is how the "signing" had it's origin - or so I have been told. Whether it's true or not, I do not know, but it certainly fits.
    Have a blessed day

    JJ
I have yet to be able to verify this as fact, but I felt it is important enough to mention. Looking to the history of Babylon and how they "handed down" numerous rituals through the years, it makes perfect sense that the Roman Catholic church would adopt this ritual and give it a "Christian meaning" as they have all the other doctrines of men and demons. Satan doesn't care how you do his evil act, as long as you DO it.

#2 On this first bead of the rosary (see above pic of rosary) the Catholic is taught to pray an 'Our Father.' The is a prayer the Roman Catholic church assumes Jesus taught as an actual prayer. Problem here is, it is NOT a prayer at all. In Luke 11 we see the disciples asking Jesus to TEACH them to pray. The "Our Father" as Rome calls it, is actually an OUTLINE of prayer. If the "our Father' was an actual prayer, then explain John chapter 17. That entire chapter is an actual PRAYER OF CHRIST Himself. Is He saying the "our Father" here? No He is not. Is HE using the OUTLINE set forth in the "our Father" in this prayer? Yes He is!

#3 On each of the next three beads, Catholics are taught to pray a prayer to Mary, called 'the Hail Mary.'
Here is where the repetitive prayers start to become apparent. Fact is, ALL of the Rosary is repetitive prayer, it's just bluntly proven here, and even more so in a moment.

#4 On this bead, Catholics are taught to announce the first mystery that this Rosary is about to be dedicated to. They are taught to reflect on what happened to Jesus at the time depicted in the particular mystery they are meditating on. On this bead the "our Father" is repeated the first time.

#5 Here the Catholics are told to pray one 'Hail Mary' on each of the next 10 beads. Then they are told to recite the prayer called 'the Glory Be' for the first time.

This is where it should become graphically apparent to the Catholic that he Rosary is evil, and openly repetitive. It goes DIRECTLY against the will of Almighty God in that it is REPETITIVE. Plus, it is truly in vain they pray this prayer. It is now Biblically understood that Mary is NOT in Heaven at this time. She is in the grave awaiting the arrival of her Savior Jesus Christ as are the rest of the faithful.
    • #6 On each bead that separates the preceding ten, the 'our Father' is repeated.
    • #7 Again, the 'Hail Mary' is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the 'Glory be' is repeated
    • #8 Again on this bead the 'our Father' is repeated
    • #9 Again, the 'Hail Mary' is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the 'Glory be' is repeated
    • #10 Again on this bead the 'our Father' is repeated
    • #11 Again, the 'Hail Mary' is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the 'Glory be' is repeated
    • #12 Again on this bead the 'our Father' is repeated
    • #13 Again, the 'Hail Mary' is prayed/repeated for the next ten beads. Then the 'Glory be' is repeated
    • #14 The end of the Rosary (for this dedication) is reached. Now the Catholic is taught to pray the 'Hail Holy Queen.' for the "first" time.
#15 The Catholic is taught to then repeat all of the above for the next two dedications if in fact he or she is going to do an ENTIRE rosary. And as of just a few weeks back, Pope John Paul II added yet ANOTHER so called "mystery" to the rosary bringing the total to FOUR mysteries that must now be repeated, if the Catholics seeks to do an entire rosary. When I was a Catholic it took me 45 minutes to recite all three sets of mysteries, (Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious) Since the Pope has added the mystery of "Light." "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light." [-2 Corinthians 11:14] I am sure it would take at least an hour to repeat all four now.

For the Roman Catholic church to proclaim to it's followers you MUST pray the Rosary is openly stating you MUST do exactly the opposite of what the Lord God Almighty has stated in His Word! You must SPIT in God's face and obey MAN over God!
The Rosary is an open and graphic worship of MARY plain and simple. There are 58 beads in each Rosary as well as a dual faced medal of Mary and a crucifix of Christ upon it. Plus, at the end of each series of ten beads is a prayer called "the Glory be" that is to be repeated holding the chain between the beads. That's 65 prayers altogether. Out of those 65 prayers, 54 of them are dedicated to the dead body of Mary in the grave. That is spiritualism and necromancy my friend! The Catholic is actually taught to communicate with the DEAD. Even the Roman Catholic church will admit there is NOT a single line of Scripture that proclaims Mary is in Heaven right now. That is why they "assumed" her into Heaven three to fifteen years after Christ ascended.

The dates assigned for it (the assumption) vary between three and fifteen years after Christ's Ascension. -Catholic Encyclopedia http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/02006b.htm

The rosary is a grand example of repetitive prayer. 65 prayers per dedication, and now that the Pope has added a "mystery" to the rosary thereby making it contain four different sets of dedications. That comes to a total of 260 prayers that must be repeated by the Catholic each time they say a complete rosary! And out of those 260 prayers, 216 of them are completely dedicated to the dead body of Mary in the grave!

The rosary is not only a repetitive as well as vain prayer, it is also the means by which the Antichrist in Rome can get the masses worshipping Mary, who in essence is actually the Pagan goddess "Queen of Heaven." As Isaiah so perfectly warned us, Satan want's to be worshipped as a God no matter what. Even if it means you call him "Mary." That is no problem for him. His main concern is to get the people to break the commandments of God, and in so doing, afford him complete permission to be in their lives. Little known fact is, the Vatican has put out documentation that openly declares Mary worthy of worship.

Pope dedicates his general audience to "the Virgin Mary"

May 7, 1997 (David W. Cloud, Fundamental Baptist News Service, 1701 Harns Rd., Oak Harbor, WA 98277) - On May 7 Pope John Paul II dedicated his general audience to "the Virgin Mary" and urged all Christians to accept Mary as their mother. He noted the words spoken by Jesus on the cross to Mary and to John-- "Woman, behold thy son!" and "Behold thy mother!" (John 19:26,27), and he claimed that in this statement "IT IS POSSIBLE TO UNDERSTAND THE AUTHENTIC MEANING OF MARIAN WORSHIP in the ecclesial community ... which furthermore is based on the will of

Christ" (Vatican Information Service, May 7, 1997).

John Paul II underlined that "the history of Christian piety teaches that MARY IS THE PATH THAT LEADS TO CHRIST, and that filial devotion to her does not at all diminish intimacy with Jesus, but rather, it increases it and leads it to very high levels of perfection." He concluded by asking all Christians "to make room (for Mary) in their daily lives, ACKNOWLEDGING HER PROVIDENTIAL ROLE IN THE PATH OF SALVATION" (Ibid.).

Jesus said rather plainly in John 14:6, "...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Fact is folks, the rosary is a very evil ritual found in the Pagan church as well as many other evil organizations. For example, you can find the exact same rosary beads in many cultures of the world. Witches use them in their evil incantations as do those that practice Voodoo. Satanists use them as well as the Buddhists. That is why many years ago generations of Protestant children grew up thinking all Catholics were Pagans and extremely evil because they recited the rosary. Now? It's beginning to be "tolerated" more so in the mainstream Protestant churches. Literal truth here is, they aren't Protestant at all anymore anyway. They are ALL Catholics now whether they believe it or not.

Like the "Queen of Heaven" that draws many Anti-Christian churches together in these last days, one can see the rosary is also used by Satan to fuel the ecumenical charge. Pray for the Catholics. Pray that they learn they are in grave danger being in the church of Antichrist. Pray they hear the call of their Savior Jesus Christ and get out of that church!

Actually Jesus says " Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name ? and in thy name have cast out devils ? and in thy name done many wonderful works ? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity

    Matthew 7:21-23

You must do the will of the Father (God). Not the will of Satan. You only hinted toward a little truth of the scripture. Ironically, Satan did the same thing to Jesus when he tempted him in the desert and unto Eve in the Garden of Eden (tempting her with half truths of scripture) to get her to doubt God's word and ultimately to sin. Just like a lot of so called Churches do today.

    Okay, here we go
Why do you rely on other people? Why is the Holy Spirit not providing the truth for you? Why is Traci your Pope who must teach you and speak for you?

    ;)
Why then, is there one Church and thousands of Protestants who are free to interpret how they wish? Why would God not protect his Gospel with an authority?

Who broke away from who? If you study the early Church documents, you will find it was Protestants who changed the canon of Scripture; Protestants who denied God’s power in the Eucharist; Protestants who denied the Chair of Peter established by Christ; Protestants who denied the visible Church.
I am glad we can agree on these two points.
Again, it is a sign of respect for his office, the seat of Peter which is the vacant seat of Christ.
So you do not seek to know about what you perceive as the enemy? How then can you best fight it? The garbage you parrot are falsities about what the Church teaches, let me show you in your Sign of the Cross and Rosary arguments.
Final word, okay: James 2:24. NOT by faith alone.

    1. Awesome. We do this!
Commandment 2 is not missing, it is just arranged differently: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ccc_css/archive/catechism/command.htm
According to you, the Bible itself is anti-Christ for taking the 2nd Commandment out. We also have our Psalms numbered differently, and the full canon.
Just about anything is the sign of something pagan. The Greek (equal) cross is not necessarily a devotion to Baal. Christ was most likely crucified on somewhat of a T shape, also kinda pagan. East and West also do it differently. The Eastern Church often does tough the floor whilst making the sign.
Notice the shocking revelation in the following pic that most are totally unaware of.[/QUOTE]
Naw, most are aware they do not make a traditional latin cross. The Latin Church also does not demand any particular way. I cross myself the Eastern way routinely in Roman Churches and no one bats an eye.
Like I said, you lie about what the Church teaches.
The Inverted Cross, specifically on the Popes chair is a symbol of St Peter who was crucified upside down because he did not feel worthy to die in the same position of Christ. This is to fulfill a prophecy of Christ’s that Peter would follow him to death.
Not really, but I will indulge you on this one.

      Let me use an analogy.
If you were a teacher, and a student asks you “Teacher, teach us to sing the alphabet” and then you say “When you sing the alphabet, sing this way: A B C D E F G...” You have taught them not only HOW to sing it, but also you taught them a particular way.
I could teach you to sing it like a military drill.

Sure he is not saying the Our Father here, because he is Praying as Christ. The Our Father is our instruction on how to pray.

Repetition is not the issue in the verse agianst “vain repetitious prayer” as Paul tells us to pray unceasingly.
If we pray prayers of praise unceasingly, wouldn’t that be repetitive? The Hail Mary is not Vain because Mary is alive in Heaven, just as all the saints are.
      Sure.

      Yup

Mary is the Ark of the New Convenant. Others were assumed into heaven (Enosh and Elijah).
2 Corinthians 12:2 describes a man caught up to heaven.
Nothing in Scripture precludes Mary being assumed. Nothing says she was not. Lastly, Paul says to hold fast to what you have been taught orally, not soley what was read. Mary’s body was never claimed to have existed once the bodies of Saints were being claimed to be placed under altars. She was assumed into heaven.

Again, lies and misinformation. You do not pray all the mysteries at once, but one a day. I also do not know how fast this person was praying, but to really meditate on the mysteries, and say the prayers and not just spout them out in a mumble takes me 20-30 minutes.
Christ is also called Light of the World, do you see how bad our exegesis is. By your standards, Jesus is Satan.

Find me in the Catechism where it says you must pray the rosary and I will read 20 Chick Tracts.
      Lies...
Mary never died. If you believe this, show me in Scripture ;)

I could get into the distinctions of latria, dulia and hyperdulia, but I think I’d be lost on you.

Catholics never worshiped Mary as a God or Goddess, but as the Mother of our Lord, the Ark of the New Covenant, and the new Eve she is given veneration above all saints and other creations.
