But you see no problem with the Pagan doctrine of a godman with a virgin mother who cures the sick, raises men fom death, turns water into wine, and is sacrificed to save mankind, all fulfilling prophecy?

This isn't even all of it, just the main stuff. Christian doctrine IS Pagan doctrine.

 

He's right OWB almost every religion can trace it's roots back to another religion somewhere in history, some scholars even believe now that Judaism is derived from Egyptian Myth.

 

Yes, the earliest example I can find of the Christ story is Ra, the Egyptian sun god.

This sort of stuff has already been answered many times in the Christian forum and has been shown be a twisting of mythology to try and show that Christianity is based on that mythology but no real scholars believe that there is any basis in fact and so has no place in the Sanctuary forum.

No you didn't, as I pointed out if you want to discuss what you call a "Good point" this is not the place for it. Try starting a thread in the Christianity forum or better yet just join one the dozens of threads that are already in that forum.

 

This thread is in the Sanctuary forum, if you will read the rules for this forum it is for Christians only, if you want to discuss this already over discussed, dead topic, move it to the Christian forum and start a new thread on the subject or join one of the dozens threads already on that subject in that forum.

As for the changing the subject of the thread, if you would look at the top of this web page you will see the topic is "Strengthen your faith in the bible Christians" and "Christianity is paganism" is not on topic, so I guess that make you the troll.

You can't be seriously saying that "Strengthen your faith in the bible" = "you insulted my mom!"

 

He asked you the question to make a point - he thought you were being somewhat contradictory. That is all. You of course have the freedom to think you were not being contradictory, but still - he was not intentionally being insulting.

I don't think he ever apologized because he sincerely doesn't think he did anything wrong. Maybe you can just accept that and move on. The Dope, while confusing and strange, seems like a decent dude. He asked you a question, that is all.

How would you know what he was thinking or what his intentions were? He has even said his intention was to upset me. How does just asking a question upset someone?

But, no. It had nothing at all to do with me being contradictory. And even if was about me being contradictory, how does the question, "did your mother teach you to lie", make any kind of a point about that?

Quite honestly, it seems that he believes that he can never do anything wrong no matter what it is and thus never has a need to apologize.

Like I've accepted all the other times he's insulted me and over looked it? Well this time he stepped over the line.

I have personally been insulted much worse than being called a liar in these forums and have not been "upset" in the least but this time he involved my mother and in doing so cast aspersions on her.

I don't know, maybe you don't love your mother and believe it's okay for others to insult her but I don't believe it is okay.

He seems that way but a decent person doesn't generally insult your loved ones, do they?

Here is the intention of this simple question, in his own words; "I pulled your chain, like I say, so that you can see in stark detail that which comes out of you."

He already knows that questioning my veracity does not "pull my chain" so what is it about this, just asking a question was suppose to "pull my chain"?

Could it be that he thought that by including my mother in the question and thus insulting her as well as me he could "pull my chain"?

I never specified who was doing the judging and I most certainly did not mean you. I was simply trying to help you cats bury the damn hatchets before someone gets cut too deeply, course judging by the rest of this thread after my last post it seems hatchets are in style right now so I don't think I'll bother again.
