i don’t know. I mean, I can respect lawnchair Larry, he didn’t think it could kill him, and just wanted to float around for a bit. He didn’t die, could have and was rescued, but never thought that could happen. Never did it again either. Loved life at the time, most of all. He had nothing to prove, This guy took the risk, knowing the possibilities of failure, death and didn’t care about that. Simply to prove to others he is right and they are wrong? Perhaps he got tired of the label of people saying he is crazy, he doesn’t know anything, etc. And went to an extreme, doing an extreme thing with a huge risk factor. Clearly there were flaws in the design too, seeing as the parachute fell off.

it is kind of spherical, but at the poles it is flat, and over mountains they have to climb higher to get over them. If you sectioned the surface meter by meter squared and made pieces in proportion to elevation, etc to scale, you would get something very different to a sphere. If you walk around it you would be going through many peaks and valleys you could not draw that as a sphere.

A bird or fly can fly around you as well, does that mean you are a sphere?

Are you saying that Earth isn't round because it isn't a perfect sphere ?

Earth is very near a perfect sphere. If you scaled it down to the size of a cue ball it would actually be smoother than the cue ball.

i am saying it is not a sphere, a sphere is defined mathematically where the distances are equal. As for round, some parts are rounded, others parts of it are not. Technically It is more pear shaped than round. Is a pine cone round?

Clearly taken out by some sort of government technology so they could not disclose the secrets and lies perpetuated on the people.

    The man with a Plan..............

Mad Mike Hughes (64) a self-styled daredevil, and flat-Earth theorist died Saturday when his crudely built contraption propelled him on a column of steam,
spiraled through the air and cratered into the sagebrush outside Barstow, Calif

The plan: Float dozens of miles high in a balloon, then fly a rocket to the Karman line, the 62-mile-high barrier that separates the atmosphere and the
cold vacuum of space, filming the entire way.

So his stunt actually had nothing to do with the flat earth theory he just wanted to reach the place in space he could free fall from?

I think his stunt had something to do with getting attention.

It had everything to do with proving his theory for a flat earth.

There are seriously still people around that don't believe the earth is a sphere?
