I had a horrible feeling you were not joking. Maybe the: "Thinking before you speak", might be a good idea. Not to be too patronising, but dumping crap in the sea is not the smartest thing to do or say. We don't have endless landfill and dumping it all in the see would be akin to an oil slick. http://sydfish.wordpress.com/2008/03/12/rubbish-soup/
aaahh... yes.. the great garbage patches of the oceans.. i don't know why more people DON'T know about them. there is so much crap collecting out there. ... we're all gonna die. way to kill ourselves.. stupid humans.
If I stop buying styrofoam and throwing it in a litter bin, how else are the homeless men in my neighbourhood going to find decent insulation for their cardboard houses? I don't want them to freeze.
Neither was I serious about dumping it in your garden. Just wanted to put in your sight and in your mind
You can't insulate a cardboard house with more cardboard!!! Canadian winters make mincemeat of cardboard/newspaper insulated cardboard/newspaper houses. gggrgh .... if only i lived in california.
You can insulate cardboard "houses" with newspaper. Or you shove the newspaper in to your clothing. I'm sure Canadian winters are terrible. Not even styrofoam is going to help. I guess you could throw styrofoam on to a drum fire and pass out from the fumes. Never waking up because you have turned in to a frozen lolipop.
They just made a park over a former landfill (near where I used to live) for kids to play on. The Park is beautiful and the perfect elevated location for flying kites :cheers2: Hotwater
They don't let the canadian homeless have drum fires in their houses. Its a fire hazard. Its unfortunate but styrofoam over a subway vent does work. anyway.
I just got a styrofoam to-go box, and it's awesome. I can microwave shit in it, which makes it a million times better than the aluminum to-go box. I can also make it into napalm, or pollute the environment with it... which makes it extremely powerful. Hail styrofoam!
packing peanuts are actually made of starch products. they are very biodegradable. if you have on laying around spit on it, you will see that your saliva will dissolve it pretty rapidly. amylase is what breaks starch down and it is pretty common in microorganisms
