I like your park. It's beautiful, and actually seems pretty well maintained. Can you go swimming there, or at least sunbathe on the little beach?

 

There's no swimming allowed. I'm not sure whether the waters aren't clean or whether it's for other safety reasons. There's a marina close by so a lot of boats in the water. You probably wouldn't want to lie on the beaches. They're rocky, not sandy.




There are rocks at the shoreline that people sit on. Mostly the park is used for the paths. The city put in bicycle paths for cycling and rollerblading and walking paths for jogging and walking. In the winter they plow one of the paths for cross-country skiing. The paths span 4 or 5 towns along the lake.

 

The lakes that are posted "no swimming" around here are rumored to have deadly snakes in them.

 

lol Haven't heard of that one. I may have to add it to my sexcapades repertoire.

The wall where I was standing is not the original wall. In its heyday it was 18 feet high.

This mini hibiscus plant is only about a foot tall and the two buds are larger than the plant.

 

They're already cleaning up the gardens in the park. Signaling the end of the season. :bigcry: The temperature is dropping fast, it was actually chilly at the lake today.
