    a native person of the north american continent...used to be called an eskimo, but that is politically incorrect cause it means "eater of raw meat"...so they are inuit

    well in that case, if he's hungry then let him eat. I thought the question meant if somebody just kills a seal.

    Who said it was killed for food? Maybe the person just does it for sport. [​IMG]

    who kills seal for sport...even people who hunt deer for "sport" must use the meat for somethign legal [ie eat it, not use it for dogfood, donate it etc]...i dont think anyone would kill a seal for 'sport', specially a native

    If you've ever spent any time doing commercial fishing, you'll hate seals too. When they get into a net and are surrounded by salmon, they take one bite out of as many fish as they can (and making them unusable). Pisses me off.

    They're pretty tough though. I've seen a seal shot in the skull with a .22 and survive (although I know people that's happened too as well, I guess). Plus they're smart. Next time you see one, when you're about 50 feet away, point a long stick at it like its a gun. It'll dive underwater straight-away.
