Thanks, ill be trying rosemary soon again. By the way, I noticed that the day after washing, my scalp is really oily, and when I rub it with my finger, it comes out as flakes. Oily flakes.

I've been experimenting a bit, and returned back to shampooing, about once every 2 weeks.. I had to because my hair was SO greasy. I'm also trying hot water, the days I don't shampoo, however the other day I noticed that that my scalp was flaking, dry dandruff. Is it possible that I have greasy dandruff and dry dandruff? Like, i'm getting flaky because of excessive grease, and then when I remove the grease, my scalp gets flaky because it is too dry? I'm a bit confused.

Oh by the way, I started doing rosemary soaks again. I hope that, plus the aloe gel help me get my healthy scalp back :( I'm tired of the flakes, the itches, the irritated scalp...

I don't have anything to add, but I do admire your dedication to having yoru dreads. Someone may have said it earlier in this thread, but I would have likely brushed them out long ago if I had it persistently for as long as you have.

Yeah, I really don't like combing, I don't comb since waaaay back, but I did pass my fingers through it. I'm glad I don't anymore :D

I used some ACV yesterday, but it left my hair greasier. Cleaner, but greasier for sure.
I'm still going to do some experimentation.

So does anyone know if it is possible to have or has had wet AND dry dandruff?

Help me out guys, I know many of you have overcome a greasy scalp or haven't you? :S

Selson Blew, and axe a Pharmacist, they could probably give you great advice.
You will find yourself drawn to the clear bottle, it says something about being natural or something, I forget, but you want the dark bottle. You want harsh scalp eating medicine for your head this time.

I'm actually looking for some natural home-made remedy. I'm actually doing rosemary soaks, and increased washes as my head is quite greasy right now. I think ill increase frequency of washes for a while, and then start decreasing them in some time. I had done that already and I think it worked but all of a sudden I started getting greasy scalp again.

Ive tried BS, ACV, Aloe, Rosemary, Tea Tree Oil. Aloe and tea tree oil have worked a bit, but the aloe left residue (how can I get it to not leave any residue?) and tea tree oil (I could get rid of the dandruff completely with it but had to wash one day, and then the next day use water only , but I don't want mold in my hair. However, I was using way too much of it)

Is there anyone with long locks that washes or rinses with water every day?

I couldn't make it without shampoo. Theres just WAAAY too much oil coming out of my head. I finally found that I needed to wash frequently to keep my head dry. However I need a soft shampoo, or my head will become dry (I think, because I get dandruff). Im still adjusting to my new schedule (wash every other day) , but everything seems to go in the right direction. Ive got rid of about 90% of my dandruff. Im also using two drops of tea tree oil per wash, and rosemary soaks every two washes so I really don't know if it's that or the frequent washing that's clearing my dandruff. My scalp gets really oily the second day... so perhaps its that. When I was using no shampoo my head was drowning in oil and couldnt get rid of it by just rinsing with water, hot or cold.

Im still a bit uncomfortable with not knowing what really helped because I dont want to use tea tree oil and rosemary for life... Im unsure what´s causing all this oil... is it normal or what?
