Actually, I've used SWIM to actually describe people who aren't me.

When LEO suspected that I was selling illegal substances, the US government kept my vehicle, and everything in it: hundreds and hundreds of dollars worth of music, some clothes, school books, backpacks, tools, rice pans (mother fuckers), rice, clean money that i paid taxes on (i do work in IT), tupperware containers, fuck i could go on for a while, but then they never sent me a subpoena or anything, then one day I get the magical default notice. Yes, that's right, I gave the state of massachusetts my car as a gift. O wait, NO I DIDN'T, THE .GOV ABUSED THEIR POWER AND TOOK WHAT WAS MINE! They didn't prove SHIT, jack SHIT about any illegal money paying for anything, they will just take what you own and call it theirs, i'll bet you those mother fuckers are eating my rice out of my pans, using live phish cd's as coasters and hitting one of the seven or so pipes that was in there. Maybe it's different in Aussie dude, but I'll tell you what, Americans are fucking paranoid for a reason.

Yeah over here there is a threat of the judges becoming more strict, because of some case. The fact that we already have a problem of wrongly punishing people who are in some sort of predicament even RELATED to marijuana makes this whole thing a big fat bitch.

Well despite salvia scaring me (not shitless, I find it kind of odd that I'm always falling backwards through a hall of faces) I think that I'd still like to try DMT, and maybe get some insight into the drug, and maybe life. I can't percieve what you all say to be the effects, they just don't click to me.

I want to see the effects first-hand, and widen my knowledge about the drug, and about life.

Before you consider using DMT, you really need to read Rick Strassman's book "DMT:The Spirit Molecule".

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0892819278/102-5200097-8889741?v=glance&n=283155

MANY accounts of the effects from a series of human trials, as well as some fascinating commentary on the difficulties one encounters when trying to legally perform scientific studies with psychedelics here in the "Land of the not-so Free".

A very abbreviated list of DMT-containing plants available at:

    http://leda.lycaeum.org/index.pl?ID=11

A MUCH larger list and lots of other info available in Shulgin's "TIHKAL", specifically the chapter titled "DMT is everywhere".

thanks for the site... but my problem is still how to purchese the plants... is there a place where i can get pregrown plants, but not online? or do i have to grow the plants myself?

Most of these plants (phalaris, for example) aren't particularly attractive or ornamental, so nurseries/garden centers aren't likely to carry them. depending on where you live, you can often find them growing wild, however.

There are LOTS of sites selling dried plant material, but mostly online.

I would suggest growing the plants from seed and extracting the alkaloid yourself. Not only will you know exactly what went into them (no nasty toxic waste or fertilizers), but you also develop patience and a "relationship" with your chosen sacrament, which can only help when dealing with something as powerful as a DMT experience.

    Psychedelics favor the prepared mind.

Without the proper spiritual context, drugs like DMT tend to produce hellish trips. Since there don't seem to be a lot of shamanic training programs listed in the local phone directory, about the best form of training and self-discipline that the modern psychonaut can acquire is that which comes through the careful selection, cultivation, and preparation of his/her chosen sacrament. The time and effort expended during this process could be considered as "paying one's dues", much as traditional users had to go through an "apprenticeship" of sorts before initiation. Couple this with things like meditation or other mental preparation techniques, and you MIGHT have a basis from which to use DMT with some degree of safety.

Just jumping headfirst into something like DMT without SOME form of preparation and disciplined self-initiation is just BEGGING for a negative outcome, with possible lifelong problems as a result. We aren't talking about smoking a joint or even popping a pill of X here. DMT produces an OVERWHELMING experience, and if you are just looking for a quick "buzz", I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere, and leave DMT to those willing to work for their enlightenment.
