well, i do know that had my brothers and i not had to deal with a flaky dad we probably woulda been better off. my niece, i'm sad to say, would have been much better off not knowing what kind of man her dad is as well. i know i only hear the very surface of your troubles, and my comment are rendered as such.
sounds like another person dipping out on their kids to me.... obviously he cant be worth that much of your kids time.. i mean hes been in jail... what do you tell your kids..... "hey baby.... your daddy was in jail while you were born" i doubt your kids would look up to something like that.. nor would you want your kids to look up to something like that... my dad was in and out a jail a few times in his life.... i never looked up to him... actually i despise him and the damn last name i was stamped with because im his son... i never wanted to see him in my life.. i dreaded every day that i had to see him when i was younger... until my mom finally heard me out... i was 10.. and never had to see him again.... guys who cant take care of their kids make me sick and should have their nuts cut off....
yeah, I see your point though he is a complete flake and irresponsible to boot. well he was....I hoping prison has at least shown him the importance of his children. trust me, if it hasn't I cut his ass off at the knees. I just believe in giving him the chance to do better
I admire that you're willing to give the man a chance and recognize the importance of your children having a relationship with their father. What I don't understand in all this - is the apparent lack of concern by the US judicial system for family. The reasoning the government is giving for deporting him seems sketchy at best. What if he has learned his lessons and got his shit together while in jail and turns out to be a wonderful father to your girls, irregardless of whether you two marry? There is the chance of this happening, yet the government wants to take away your daughter's father. That is, as you said, completely fucked up.
He needs to find his birth certificate wherever it may be!! Was he born on a military base?????????????????
if he was born on a military base in germany he should have dual citizenship........... no matter whose name was on it. My husbands American birth certificate doesnt exist because the clinic he was born in was in germany and it burned down............ the air force tryed to tell him that he was not a US citizen but it finally got figured out.
if his mom knows where he was born i am sure he can get some kind of proof from them... my whole point was to give advice on where he could find proof..................
then thats his problem to deal with, just offering him a place to start.................................
Get over yourself and quit trying to be Mr. Fucking Know It all.... You don't have all the answers and you will just have to learn how to live with that!
it's a pretty tricky proposition. it's one of those things you just won't know until it's all said and done.
