Tangled Up In Chat...

Will be getting a refund for the bad tire, they doubt finding a match and so do I. I bought one out of PA today, should be here next week. It's like I'm tracking down rare vintage parts here.... Oh wait. I am.

 

When we were walking tonight we encountered a suspect man who was loitering around our local shops. Our shops aren't too much but there just down the hill and through a playground and there's a decent sized grocery that has all your needs, food, drink, alcohol and bits and pieces and we also have a coffee shop, a chemist and for some reason a pet stylist.

Anyhow this person was like just walking in front of all the stores at nighttime. Atreyú knew that the path we were walking and the path the man was waking we're going to meet so he was very curious the moment he saw the man. I was too. So I grabbed the lead harder and I slowed down so the man could hit the intersection first and move on. But the man slowed his pace down too and inevitably we met when the paths crossed.

He never said anything, he was dressed all in black except perhaps some faint white lines on his jacket and also dressed in a dark beanie. He just looked at us, but more like not worried by the dog but more look concerned we'd seen him out to begin with. Personally I think he was looking for cigarette butts as he was scowling the ground outside the supermarket.

So as we crossed paths he stopped to let us go by with his random facial expressions like we'd caught him doing something wrong. Atreyú didn't like this person at all. He grew 1/3 in stature, raised every hackle piece of hair he has on his back.

Now a lot of dogs show hackles like in their mane area but Atreyú being the really true short coat he is, his hackles go from the base of his neck to the tip of his tale, he literally looks like one of those lizards with the fan on their back, or the dinosaurs that were the same. You know?

So his hackles were up and he was barking, not aggressively but aggressively enough to scare anybody away that didn't know the body or vocal language from the German Shepherd.

Normally I'd have said something to Atreyú. Pulled him away, but I didn't. I let him warn to this man don't come near us, just stay put. He never fought me on the lead, just stayed by my side showing himself off and giving warning barks.

The man just stared at us a bit dumbfounded. We increased the pace and walked off. Of course the man walked in our footsteps and Atreyú was becoming uneasy with him behind us. I think the man finally realized and went a different route.

We were very happy and please with our little champion. they're such a protective dog like this, he wasn't going to let any danger stranger get too close to his mammas.

When we walk especially at night he's much more protective. If we walk 10 meters distances from one another he'all take the middle of us and noticing like tonight he'll put himself in the middle of us and whatever he doesn't like.

I think he's a true gentleman.

I was picking up my doobage from my friend and he was in the car with me. we seen an old man trying to push a stove up a flight of wooden steps.. already past him when I said to my friend we should help him. he said yeah we should. so I back up and asked the man if he would like us to help him. he declined at first but then I said we insist. 1-2-3 to the top in a few seconds. he was happy ..

I have 3 rocks I keep on top of my woodstove....they get nice and hot....I apply them to sore neck muscles....nice blast of very concentrated extreme heat on a sore spot.....

This is the frame of our new rabbit enclosure. ITS going to be quite sizable. still working out the rest of it but at least we have a frame and dimensions lol. Honestly thinking of using pavers as the flooring. Helps cut their nails and don't have to worry about erosion and can easily sweep/wash away the surface.

 

wow they have way taller rabbits in Germany than in Canada
