Check engine light came on in the jeep yesterday while I was driving. Checked my gas cap, was hoping that would be it. I've read a few things online about how it went off for people after they filled up the tank and drove around a bit, so I'm off to the gas station. Hoping it is something small... just spent $1200 on tires and don't really want to shell out any more.

I guess I should check the oil level too, but I'm fairly certain that there is a separate light for that (shows you how much I know about cars, haha).

I am sitting outside and the next door neighbor has workers out there raking the leaves. They are complaining because 90% of the leaves come from my yard. I can hear them constantly yapping about how there used to be a fence up between our property. I yelled that they can rake it all up onto my yard.
It's a bit funny that they are bitching about it though. I mean if my leaves never went in their yard they wouldn't have a job now would they.

I don't know why they don't just run over it with a lawnmower. The leaves get sucked up in a bag and the job is done.

people that own the place next door here used to rake up the leaves then toss them over the fence...and they constantly complained about my one big oak tree....

stupid idiots dont realise if i cut it they lose all their shade and will have a completely open yard

plus its not like i do that with their leaves from their back fence trees....the way i see it if nature drops them in your yard you own them..doesnt matter where the tree is

The guy got a lawnmower but no bag. I guess his plan was to shred them. But they spit out the leaf particles and hit the woman she started bitching about it and then they both stopped.

those bluetooth obd boxes are great for someone who just wants to read codes ...good for tracking mileages too..lots of different ones out there i just posted the cheapest one i could find

some of the chat repairs i find online are absolutely ridiculous

some are actually spot on but some are obviously answered by people that arent even remotely considered technicians...

so...garbage collection requires leaves be in paper bags now....no way im paying that much for paper bags so i bag them in the old clear bags and bring a machete with me to the landfill so i can quickly cut the bags open and just leave the leaves...

    nope

    they wouldnt let me in

so off to the bush it went

i suppose i could have just thrown them into black bags and they would pick them up like regular garbage...but its just leaves so the bush is less work

    city is so freaking backwards

i had some steel too...guy says i can leave the steel (they sell it for scrap)...fuck you buddy ill keep the metal too and sell it myself next time i have a load

im trying to figure out how i want to do my tree. i want fiber optic so that i dont have to deal with lights and wires. i like the old bulbs, but they arent as safe. LED bulbs bother my eyes. im considering having many smaller trees, and then using them in the boys' room (doing forest murals in there) during the off-season.

i still need to get to the xmas buckets in the garage. at least i know exactly where they are.

We had snow week last week. Now it's going to turn mild again and probably melt away and then snow again in a week.

We went to a trash and treasure thing today. We've been going for about the last 4 or so years and every year we see the same stall with these really good stainless steel buckets in all sorts of sizes. And every year we buy a new size. I use them for rabbit feed and dog water bowl etc. so this year we needed the smaller 5lt size bucket, thinking it was our last one and he's managed to have like another size we'll go and get next year. :D

I have fun at those things just walking around for hours and legit to me at least 90% of it, is shit. What I really like though are all the old oil cans and bottles. Petrol signage etc. Texaco signs and petrol cans. I don't know why but I like that old stuff it's just worth a fortune and I'm not spending over hundred of euro for a rusty old can. :D

I like the A4 tin signs for my garage but after inspecting them, they were all reproductions just printed to look old. Like old Shell and Texaco etc. they looked great but yeah, 25+€ on something that's printed to look old, I'd rather spend twice or more on the authentic old rusty signage. Lol.

But anyway we had fun. There was this picture poster tent and we were having a look and I didn't realize the poster on my left and my Laura said to turn to my left and there's this big poster of some blonde babe and she's shoving her ass and box right in my face. Gave me the shock of my life.

it was funny but the canned laughter at the beginning has to go, "why its not that big a deal" is funny? and then he reads the card and then adds "islam" and that gets a laugh....
i would find that annoying if it was something i watched regularly.
