I do not think she could be awarded the Darwin award. To the best of my knowledge the person has do die to get the award, she did not.

I don't see where we are blaming her. She got the drink from a legitimate bar. As mentioned previously in the thread, one doesn't exactly go to a place to drink and expect them to serve something life-threatening. Maybe insult the intelligence of the bartender or owner instead, this was some poor 18 year old kid who likely has little or no experience with drinking.

 

What the hell does a person do without a stomach? Wonder if a transplant is in order. Possible?

i read it as first drink, seeing as she's only 18. the way it was stated, it could be taken either way.

ive lost two friends because of stomach cancer and they were told there was absolutely nothing that could be done ..

 

i don't think anyone "needs" a hug.

maybe if they have deep cuts all over their chest and this is the only way to put pressure on all of them at once. but that seems like quite a stretch.

 

i think youre wrong...hugs are totally necessary sometimes..and not just for first aid

 

A good old fashioned hug may just have stopped the freezing process that took her stomach. First aid.
