It's like watching a country reverting back to pre-high school mentality. LET IT GO!

It's a fucking soap opera brought to us because we'll react to anything. It's like abortion, or using the dreaded N word. These are bones thrown to the crowd to be fought over and to keep us all in a state of victimhood, anger, and fear. Some piss ant says something that amounts to a mole hill, and the media turns that little speck of darkness into a raging fire that we feed with out undivided attention.

Otherwise you're just saying the same thing a different way. Again, I fail to see how this kid caused embarrassment to his school or his faith. He didn't back down and he didn't run away crying when adults who should have known better got right up in his face. At some point you have to realize it's not the child's fault here. It's the fault of the adults and all those assholes on the web who came up with all the clever ways to torture him and kill he and his classmates.

Suggestions for school shootings were also a classy projection from the fools who dog piled on this whole affair. Look how many are slinking back to their holes. It is they who deserve the shame here, not some kid. Where is Nathan's apology? A real one, for being a jerk. And what about those other poor downtrodden black monsters who called them faggots and incest babies? No apologies from them I assume. Or do they just not exist since the media glossed over their bullshit so handily?

 

The good thing is that we can focus on multiple issues. So it doesnt have to be problematic people also feel like giving a perhaps trivial issue some attention.
It's also very encouraging to see people acknowledge at second instance they jumped to conclusions too soon at first. Ok, it could be more people but hey, some people are actually using their brain in a constructive way. Most seem stuck in this circus because they affiliate too strong with a particular side (left vs right) to the point there's little chance on a constructive approach.

 

Yes it certainly is a polarizing event, isn't it. Another Tower of Babel/babble constructed. Another instance of Pavlov's people reacting to the media bell.

 

Actually I was just thinking that of all threads this one didn't actually spiral into the worst of it all. Sure there was some straying static here and there, but the really nasty polarization didn't seem to occur much. I'm proud of all ye hippies (snif)!!!!

I am amazed at the right wing view they are "woke" on this. They saw the video they know. You guys are so easy to play.

I'm amazed by the "The White Man" memes above and no one has said anything. I thought generalizing our fellow humans was bad.

 

Oh it's still bad. But some people seem to get a pass for textbook racism as long as it's against "the white man" (as a whole, every last one of them from babies to the dead).

Any attempt to discuss it exposes my "white fragility" and I'm not to shed any "white tears" over getting what I "deserve" for daring to be the wrong color.

That's where so many of these discussions end up before the deletions, suspensions and banning kick in. Especially on news forums.

There is no comparison between the wisdom of the native chiefs and the foolishness of those who challenged the Catholic school children. My postings were quotes that were intended to show the contrast. Native Americans deserve better representation than what we have seen in this incident, and we all deserve better news coverage than what the incident got.........assuming it was worth covering in the first place (which is questionable). Actually, I think it was a set-up.

I seriously doubt a conspiracy, unless the bus drivers were in on it and wanted to give those little arrogant crackers a taste of reality, DC style.
