All in all the United States really isnt that cool.. Is there really one GREAT place to live. Unless youre super wealthy, It's no better then Canada, and in Canada you get free health care. Move to Quebec, It might take a little getting used to, but then it's a lot of fun. Especially living around Montreal.
I haven't even been there. But I'd go to the West Coast were I you. OR, Florida. Tennessee is a little avant-garde to move to from Canada.
Let's just say I never heard of anyone moving from Canada to Tenessee. You'd be in the guiness book of records: "The greatest number of Canadians moving to Tenessee in about 500 years!" j/k
HAHAHAHAHAA. I dont know where my head was at when I started this anyway. I think it was listening to copious amounts of Dolly Parton. I am easily quite carried away, for the record.
Ok. Honest opinion: Stay away from silly American towns. Shit like San Diego or Austin. Chicago. The South is VERY interesting...to visit. At least until you get here first. You have to decide what you want. If you want nature, I'd go somewhere wild like Key West, or Hawaii, Nevada...etc. If you want an urban environment, I'd go to a serious urban setting: like San Fran. And then...there is New York. For what it's worth.
Well to be true nyc is in my heart. But I dont think america is my style anyway, not before my great job with healthcare that I can have there. Besides Toronto makes me SOOO happy and then there's europe and australia to look forward to. PS Im going to Brazil in December, exciting right?! I think from now on, one trip a year is a must. Last year Carribean, this year Brazil.
I've been there Cate8 it's only 4 hours from me, i liked it alot. I'm also looking forward to going back, and possible starting a comic shop down there.
chattanooga is one of my favorite cities.. i much prefer it over knoxville.. southeastern eastern tennessee is nice,,the sequatchie valley is ancient, you have the ocoee river,,kick ass little towns like soddy daisy and grutley lager.. oh and cant forget suck creek...if you enjoy the outdoors there more to do than you could ever imagine.. you get into middle tennessee and its like another world flat and literally 100 miles between beer stores and no liquor..can you say land of bible thumpers? i knew you could.. then as ya get closer to memphis it starts to become part of america again.. but yeah,,i prefer southeast tennessee..
why tennessee? we have some states with more exciting things to do, cali, mass, washington, colorado, florida, if you like thunderstorms and tornadoes you could come to missouri and visit my state.
east tenn is very hilly as it is near the appalachian mountain range. west tenn is flatter and plains like. ive only been to the eastern side. it's very cool. the somkies are pretty awesome to check out.
