Texas vs. Florida

Yea theys alot to see, the only thing that made me sick of traveling was being alone the whole time I think maybe when I get maried if she up for it going back to traveling and trying to talk her out of skipping country or something til we find a place we both like.

 

as much comfort as i get from the idea of settling in one space, i can't stand the idea of missing out on what all else is out there.

 

Austins the best place I've lived. Packed with things to do, great people, beatuiful scenery, I spent most of last year in Ausitin.

Many lovely girls, great food, great atmoshpere.

Texas is pretty broke though. There are lots of great communities here, and lots of culture, and Austins better then most of Texas, but the schools, and any sort of social program you'd hope for in a society is fucked up beyond repair.

No income tax, which sounds goood untill you realise the oil barrens aren't paying anything and you're paying 9% for a pair of pants or a loaf of bread.

Texas has some of the most vibrant society within the US, but again as a state, completly broken.

Florida on the other hand, is almost as broken as Texas, and has much less soceity and much more old people and crocodiles. Florida is pretty crappy.

Take everything wrong with LA and multiply it with bad schools, golf courses and a Bush as governor, then you have Florida.

Lack of income tax is dumb as hell.

Feels good for poorer citizens who don't feel that large a chunk of change out of every check, but the poor and middle class pay a much larger share of the tax burden in a high sales tax state rather then a state with an income tax.

Income disparity is ridicuolously huge in any state without income tax.

if it were up to me, he never would have made it past junior high. lol! Anyway, yea the income tax thing is stupid as hell. in TN. they are actually planning to raise property taxes to make up the difference. that is fucked...but then, politics, schmolitics...

hold it, i'm not sure how this turned into politic city, but if you need to flame, please don't do it in my thread. i am merely wanting imput from the public, to make a decision between two locations. if you like point a, fine, if not, fine, but leave the bush-bashing to the politics threads.

Never went to public schools only priavte, my family could afford better for me unlike yours but no I don't class people by something like income what I do class people by if their personality, you have excerted nothing but dumbass worthless comments so all youre going to get in return is the same.

Anyway back on topic before this gets locked the decision is up to you man you only know what you like, may want to try visiting either before moving or something that may help out, theres even an area to meeet folks for just that on this forum I think, best wishes, I know what it's like trying to find your place.
