No man, I'm a guy. And keep your forks away from me, you dirty white man! ;)

Now, as far as us stealing the tradition from the french and british...it was the pilgrims that started ours, isn't it? Yeah, they were british, but they were in Massechusetts. I know our thanksgiving was just a New England holiday for a long time, but still, I don't know if it's right to say we stole it.

haha. I think I'm okay with calling the "native-Americans" Indians. I think I'll continue to do so. Native-American is as racist as Indian, African-American, and Asian-American. They're as much African-American and Native-American as I am Irish-American or Italian-American and they're as "native" as I am. This whole politically correct multi-culturalism is just reverse racism. From now on I want you to call me a Cream-colored Irish-Italian-hybrid-American. I'll be who I am and I'll say what I've said since I was a kid. If you have a problem with that you can get in your Prius and drive far, far away from me. You're as racist as I am with your "Native" and "African" bullshit. No, the blacks and Indians are as equal as the whites,... but we ought to give them hyphenated names because they're... equal. Jerome is as African as I am Irish. He doesn't beat a drum and wear a Khahala and I don't down 40 pints of Guiness a night. If I say Indian, and you need clarification between Raja from Delhi and Running-Bull from Albuquerque, I'll be more than happy to do that for ya. Saying "Native-Americans" is worse, to me, and I won't change for some hippie ultra-extremo A.C.L.U whiney liberal with neo-360 ideals.

By the way Brandon, yeah, the Pilgrims did start Thanksgiving, but the idea was taken from "New Foundman's day", so you could call it more of an innovation upon the British and French Holiday, than an act of thievery.

^^^ haha, you sound so hostile man.

Anyways, i agree, PC is boring and very transparent. The less we worry over labels the better off we will be. Blacks get upset when you call them black, they say they're brown. Well, I'm not white, I'm also brown, just a lighter shade. But I don't get pissy about it, call me white if you want. I know blacks have been held down for a long time and are sensitive about slurs (rightly so), but damn, lets try moving on. I know words have power, but seriously...worry more about the context a word is used in, rather than the actual word.

By the way, some Indians like being called that, they interpret Colombus's original Latin (Italian? Spanish?) "indios" as "in-dios," literally, "in god." Maybe just playing in words, but hey, whatever works for you.

As far as thanksgiving goes, it's a good "borrowing" or "theivery" or whatever; I like what it stands for.

Yes, this is very true. Most of the P.C. people don't understand what they're talking about when it comes to Indians beyond "they were slaughtered". Columbus called them Indians because he thought he'd reached India through the water route (I don't know about the deeper etymology or the "God" idea, but I'll take your word for it), and the idea that the names mean more than the action in today's world is just another one of those neo-360* ideas perpetuated by politically correct people. They want to eliminate racism, and want people to treat "them" (blacks, Indians) as equals through actions, but then use words that seperate them further, thus, turning 360 degrees and ending right back up in the racism and spouting the equivalent of the racist misnomers of the people they've demonized and become the person they demonize.

Most of the indians I know don't care about being called indians. I've noticed somewhat the same thing as what you guys were talking about in that it seems to be more people who or of another culture that get offended. Maybe it's some kind of hereditary guilt trip?

Pear, it's not people from other cultures, it's just simply white people. White anglo saxon protestants who feel being politically correct in phrasing is more important than actually helping anyone or being interested in people. This is the same person who cares more about the homeless man's dirty starving dog than she does about him.

Worms, that's shitty, man. I went through that in 2003 when I moved out on my own and I had no job and no real family close to me (since moved closer to 'em). Now I'm making fine cash doing something I love, hard times come and go. If you lived near me I'd certainly smoke you out and celebrate a bit with you.

haha, I might be going through Denver when I go to Hollywood in April, but I don't know that it would be the best route decision. If I do, I'll hit ya up a week before I leave. I've already talked to a few other people on here about visiting them when I head out West.

Have you smoked Colorado Blueberry? It's supposed to be pretty abundant in the Colorado college towns. It's awesome! Only once in my life have I smoked it, and I haven't forgotten what it felt like since.

Gonna be visiting my family, I'm sure alot of my relatives will be stoned too, but it wont be mentioned at all. They'll be stoned, but silent and just eating a shitload of food :p

Definately gonna have some beers too, but thats after I gorge myself :)
