great looking pups, and daughter. :)
and one day those dogs are gonna hurt someone, (your neighbors, not yours) be destroyed and she will whine and cry about how unfair it is.
    fucking stupid moron.
I have full on body-slammed/tackled Buddy the two times he actually did attack another dog with little regard for my safety or his, that is what a responsible owner of big dogs does.

Last night when he went off on the other dog, I wonder what those folks thought because when he acts the fool like that I pull him up to me, grab his snout and get right in his face and make sure he understands it is not ok to act like that.
the rest of our walk we went over his rules for public behavior, guess he thinks there are new rules because it's anew area, nope same rules apply.

some friends think I'm nuts for grabbing his snout the way I do and getting in his face, but ever watch a mother dog with her pups?
when they need discipline she will bite/hold their snout until they calm down and get the message, all I'm doing is using that instinct to my advantage.
    it has worked so far.
when you have a dog that can tear a basketball in half in 15 seconds, you gotta be aware of the responsibilities that go along with it...LOL

Thank you! Emma is a Pit/Plott Hound mix I think. Piper is full blooded American something that equals Pit. I forgot what her papers called her.

My dogs have never needed me to correct them like that but I do grab them and talk like I'm growling just to goof off once in a while. It gets their attention.

I've broken them up in the yard a couple of times. Piper is young and Emma isn't. Emma gets pissed off once in a while. I threw the water pan at them one day. Another day, the hose was handy.

No but I totally relate to it and agree with it.

Although the person is obviously telling that to someone I look at it from the opposite where, my girl deserves me because she does put up with me at my worst. =p

I now have a portable toilet to bring camping with us now I pick that up on a small trailer only few kms from where we camp so that'll be cool and better than using public toilets. Just probably have to keep a lock on it or something.

All I need to get together now is my blow up mattress, lights and my battery pack and I think I'll be all set. And my stereo. :)

    Your own Porta Potty?!?!

You could keep a small toilet in the tent and charge $$ to use your portable outhouse!

    the two times I had to tackle Buddy was ;
1: when he went after a dog his size and charged, came up from underneath and grabbed at the other dogs throat and literally took him off the ground onto it's side, the only thing that saved the other dog was that Buddy was wearing a "cone of shame" from vet visit the prior day. Fucking $30 for that piece of plastic and it was destroyed in a second.
2: Buddy charged out the front door and grabbed a little dog, maybe 5 lbs, had it in his mouth and was ready to "rag doll" it around, plant it on the ground and rip it.
So if I didn't tackle him it would have ended very badly....
good thing he is brute and solid as a rock....LOL

if you read the info about his breed, American Bandogge" it says they need a very firm and strong master or they can be very difficult to manage. I took it to heart and let him know "I'm the boss!"
He responds with absolute love and affection while still obeying me, most of the time. He can be a stubborn little shit when he wants to, another trait of that breed.
He acts very differently with my wife and daughters, especially when it comes to dealing with strangers.
Only a fool will try to touch one of them when he is around, with me he waits for my cue.

That really is awful...like you can't even take a walk in your own neighborhood without wondering/worrying when the hell that might happen. I'd really be scared to walk the dogs if that bitch neighbor is subject to just let them out when she feels like it. Is there anything you could do that would hurt them, but NOT permanently - I'm thinking like pepper spray or something like that?

I hope you have a ball bat outside all the time (with the triplets I figure there is always a bat somewhere lol) because if one or all ever went after you, your grandchildren, or your own dog/s...I know I would be TRYING my best to injure one of them...hell, more than one. And I really mean more than injure. I LOVE animals; but, an out of control vicious animal is nobody's friend - not even the stupid owner.

That woman needs to be fined. I know you said that animal control has come down there before...but how long ago? I wonder if making a call to them tomorrow about them coming in your yard at your husband, who I'd SURELY tell them was disabled and was only working in his garden...and what if all 3 had decided he was easy pickin's ?

Like Nox said - it sounds like those out of hand dogs are really going to wind up hurting somebody and their dogs one day.

Okay... You're not really going camping. You're taking a portable house into the outdoors.

my dog stopped someone dead I their tracks from coming in my house the other day....beef with a dude here on the island ad he thought he could just walk I my house.......captain was up at the door before he could get all the way open.

he was returning something to me and so opened the door back up a couple inches and threw the item into my living room...maybe 1 or 2 seconds later I am up at the door letting my dog out and buddy is booking it back to his truck...

he made the mistake of parking to far and captain caught him at his car door and jumped up on him but buddy was able to get the door shut...by this time i'm outside too ad yelling at buddy to come back so we can ''talk'' :)

he wont be coming back any tie soon because he will getting thumped by a old man and his dag :)

Yeah, I agreed with it also.

i ran across a quote in some papers on my desk last night.....that is pretty powerful.....
It was something like, as I don't want to look for it again....so not verbatum....but something like this...
"Come sit with me in the light....No? Ok, then I will sit with you in the darkness......".

    LOL
reminds me of a story me dad told me. They live in Co. on 40 acres and at the time had a little tiny "yippy" type of dog and big doberman.
One afternoon this pick-up truck pulls into their driveway (1/4 mile long) and stops in front of the house. There were "beware of dog" signs on the property and my dad could see out the front door from his chair. so the little dog starts going apeshit barking it's head off, and my dad saw two guys get out of the truck and start laughing at the "ferocious" doggy barking at them as they walked up to the door.
It was right about then that Queenie the doberman ran through the screen door ripping it to shreds and charged straight at them.
My dad said you never saw two cowboys climb on top of the cab of a pick-up truck faster in your life.
My dad waited a few moments as Queenie kept them on the top of the truck and then casually walked out with shotgun in hand and asked "anything I can help you boys with?"
