I'll offer some insight - it might be more of a comparison towards something else one finds inherently disgusting, rather than a derogatory comment about homosexuality.

And before the flames come - I support complete freedom for homosexuals. But I also find the thought of the act itself disgusting, the same way I find beets disgusting.

It is a fairly low-class vernacular, though.

Theres nothing wrong with telling the truth. Just like how I despise you and everything you stand for, your personality and your character. But I'm just telling the truth. People like you are a waste. Sorry for my honesty.

Sorry guilty. I use that a lot, dunno how I picked it up.

I don't really feel like I need to stop saying it though, I have nothing against gays and people can believe that or not. A lot of people just need to get some thicker skin and be a little less sensitive to nonsense like that.

my friend who is gay says "thats so gay" all the time. and most of his friend say it too.

    no big deal.

IMO if you're offended by it, then you're just looking for things to be offended by. I'm not saying that to make trouble, just my opinion

Yeah same here, use it all the time. It definitely has its roots as a derog term against homosexuals, but I sincerely believe the majority of the people out there that use it as just a word without that original basis.

Just like how we use "retarded" these days
