The same can be said for just about any joke...and there are much worse jokes than that.

 

Like? I don't think any joke that bad is as popular as it.

 

It's obvious we disagree about what's funny. So I am sure that a joke that I find totally unfunny would probably be hilarious to you.

My main point was that people generally look smug when they make a joke and I don't notice that being any more pronounced during a "That's what she said" joke.

Ok. Mabey there are more bad jokes on tv that I don't even notice, its just that this one sticks out as "annoying" for some reason.

Because it's so easy to use and abuse. You can say it after ALMOST any sentence and it will work. So stupid people who want to be funny say it after every word you say and feel whitty.
