Me and my mom always do it early. We have everyone over for thanksgiving so we like to have the house fixed up nice. I feel sick about this thanksgiving. More family drama. So my mom’s new boyfriend they have been going out for 4 months. He thinks it's wrong that my dad comes over to my mom’s house for thanksgiving dinner, to him that would be the x husband. He feels an x is an x. it's like what is she suppose too do? Not invited my dad and have my sister pissed off at my mom. That he has too spent it alone. Yes my dad and mom have allot of history they had 3 daughter and 2 grandkids. I do want my dad too come. But I get that my mom needs to take her boyfriend’s feeling into consideration. it's like what should she do? she told my sisters if he wants too come thats fine. I can't call him and ask him to come over. if we want him their thats fine. but she can be the one to call him up

 

I've had my wife's ex-husband visit and stay overnight in our house. It was no problem for me. I understood that she and he had history. I understood all too well that she really wasn't thrilled to have him there, but at the same time his kids were living with us, and he needed a place to stay for a few days, and we wanted to help if we could. It was mostly fine. Then he ended up getting into shit with my stepdaughter, and then with my wife, and at that point we said it was not working to have him stay with us, and he made other arrangements.

In YOUR situation, your mom's boyfriend is apparently not so understanding. But you say if you or your sisters invited him, the boyfriend would have nothing to say about it? Why don't you or your sisters invite your dad then?

 

I have been busy working on my un-hip class A rv for the past month or so. Almost ready to head south to warmer climes...... I can't wait actually.....;-D
