Is there a difference? More of the same methinks. Religion severely disrupts how your brain receives information and I maintain a congenial spirit for the experience.
Acid isn't causing some kind of massive spiritual awakening in your body that is releasing energy, ect, that's my point. I like Jung's approach on this: the concept of Kundalini has for us only one use, that is, to describe our own experiences with the unconscious
yea, if you say so. but i'd have to disagree. anything that has the potential to cause profound realisation and reconnection with the human spirit is more than just a drug. there is a religion based around peyote being used as a religious sacrament, so why can't the same concept be applied to all psychedelics? edit- hell, there is even a religion based around smoking weed religiously, lol. :sifone: edit2: ironic that we can't even execute religious freedom to the extents exampled above when one of the founding principles of this country was freedom of religion... yay america!
even cannabis and ginseng can cause this I always thought of it as sort of like combing the nadis in your body like the substance releases the energy, bits of kundalini essentially, and as it runs up your body it'll hit snag and yank it lose, pulling nerves with it
We are devotional by nature. The range of that devotion is from the instinct for self preservation at one end to gratitude at the other. The entire range of that devotion is absolute and where the treasure lay there is the heart also.
so then everything has the potential to be religious -- and it all is. i see the wheels turning in even the tinyest of actions.
do you even know what that means or do you just like saying it But yes, sorry, I believe in science and psychology over theories that were once science thousands of years ago, proved wrong, then taken up again by healers and hippies on too many drugs
key word here, 'believe'... difference is that I KNOW that the kundalini energy is real, through direct experience. something you may never know (direct experience) due to the fact that you default your own intuition to the authority of an increasingly irrelevant hard matter paradigm.
taking liquid this weekend with my boyfriend i know you guys could care less but felt like saying it anyways
No you don't. All you know is what you experienced, and you decided to interpret that as kundalini energy, and that is where belief comes in. There is nothing inherent in any experience that says OH LOOK IT'S KUNDALINI ENERGY GUYS IT IS REAL This is actually offensive. I cannot understand why you are so antagonistic towards beliefs that rival your own. If you were truly comfortable in your KNOWING of the existence of "kundalini energy", you wouldn't feel the need to constantly be condescending and accusatory towards people that disagree with you.
What I see are people who believe in the spirituality and are on a path of self realization and then I see another group of people that say no. That's all. Why is it? Do you hold any beliefs of your own naysayers???? It should be sharing ideas and beliefs. Which is not what is happening. One side is sharing their ideas and beliefs and the others are cutting it down. What's the point? I mean FUCK... Neo, you say they dont really know. But guess what ... neither do you.
