well put sir. kurt vonnegut's book Cat's Cradle talks about these groups that divide us as humans into different groups and seperates us, but talks about how they are really just illusions as we're all just people, and whether we're from indiana or china we should just relate to each other as humans.

but ya, im really starting to get sick of all this american patriotism bullshit. i always hear people say, "well america is the greatest country in the world to live in" and i just want to ask them, why? we are a "democracy" ya sure, but our version of it is really flawed, and our freedoms an liberties are being taken away everday. not to mention the fact that our government has fucked so much stuff up in the recent history. i just can't stand alll the blind following that is required for this shit

 

i voted somewhat. we've got some cool stuff, y'know, and we were founded on freedom which is always good. but still... come on... this place has gotten all fucked up.

 

I hate this country and everything it stands for currently.

well..... i am not really patriotic because I hate our government, but at the same time, i am really glad i don't live in Mexico or some other 3rd world country.... because no matter how much our government sucks, at least it isn't COMPLETELY corrupt
