Woah these scripts are strong. I'm all googly eyed and I think my worse vision was better because now it feels like I see double of everything with two lenses. No contact yet. I like the sunglasses better but the guy did say they wouldn't be as effective because of the wrap around. Maybe that's why I like better. =p

It isn't often I look for something specific when I listen to music at work. I usually just put the device on random play and listen to whatever comes on.

They are ear buds but I hate that word so I call them headphones.
I wear them when I am cleaning up and when the machines are warming up.

When I worked at hell (McD's :D ) the people on the grill or making the burgers/sandwiches would often wear those ear buds. It griped my very butt! I really didn't let myself get griped very often, especially at the co-workers since that would have been useless...anyway, I remember that the managers and me would occasionally have enough of that and YELL

TAKE THOSE DAMN THINGS OUTTA YOUR EARS SO YOU CAN HEAR WHAT WE'RE TELLING YOU! :)

They would look at me with absolute shock on their face. [IMG] but they'd take them out. :D

They would look at the managers and roll their eyes. lol

My coworker wears them all the time while we are in the control room. It is annoying when I want to tell him something but unless it's important I usually don't mind waiting until he is done.
Funny thing is we are opposite when it comes to how we listen. Usually he listens in the room and I won't but he never listens outside the room but I often do.

I've got to take The Mother somewhere (not important whatsoever) this morning...well, around 11. She is already ready, walking around tunelessly whistling...

It takes me 15 minutes to get my physical self ready and the rest of this hour to get mentally ready. :D

The last person that went on and on and on about how cute Mama was I asked them if they wanted to take her home with them then...

Is that like adopting a puppy.
Hey look at my cute little mother...take her home with you. She needs some special care by a special person.

LOL! no...they offer up how "cute" she is...over and over and over...I for sure don't put out those words. :D

AND I know (beyond the shadow of a doubt) after they got her to their home for just a short time, they would be searching for me with every available resource...to take back that "cute little puppy" ;)

When I was growing up my grandparents watched me after school and during the summer when my parents worked, They had a dog that was pretty mean. He hated the mail man and most people that were not my grandparents. They had to put a mail box at the end of their driveway because he would wait at the slot by the door and bite the mail man's hand when he pushed the mail in. They thought they would have to get rid of him but he was always nice to me and he would always follow me around. He was my play mate. I guess one time as a toddler I pulled his tail and all he did was take my hand in his mouth and move it. Dogs seem to understand being gentle with babies. But some dogs are not as good with this. But even though he was gentle I was always told be careful around him. Like don't sneak up on him, don't touch him when he eating. If he bites you then it's your own fault.

I think that a lot of problems with these family dogs come from kids being kids and the parents blaming the dog. The kid does something dumb like pull his tail the dog reacts and the dog becomes a "bad" dog. I worked at a shelter and saw it all the time. The owners drop it off and say he's aggressive but I go in the cage and they run up to me with tail wagging. People have always told me I have a way with animals and I can go right up to most dogs. I think it's just because I know how to read them. You have to remember a dog is really a wolf. There are thousands of years of domestication but it still has wolf tendencies. Wolves solve their problems by biting other wolves in their pack. Then it's over they are still a pack. Most dogs are not going to be as nice about it as my grandparent's dog was.

A lot of the dogs I saw were pitbulls and I own one. Most of them never got a chance in the shelter because they are illegal in a few cities around here and people assumed they were mean. So it was very hard to adopt them and my boss the lady who did all the PR for donations with the public believed all sorts of rumors about them. Like she was convinced they had locking jaws and she did not allow them to be caged with any other dogs they had to be alone because they were so mean. That makes things really hard when you are running a shelter that is always full and always has new dogs coming in. 2 or 3 large dogs and several small ones could be comfortable in the size cages we had. Most of the time she didn't even try to adopt them out. It made me so frustrated. That experience was one of the reasons I got a Pitbull.

They are not mean dogs but if you want an attack dog they are very good at that. They bond strongly with their owners and they are strong animals so if you want to encourage them to protect the pack they will. But before they got a reputation as a guard dog they were known as nanny dogs. You are more likely to be bitten by a Golden Retriever then a Pitbull. And no one thinks of a Retriever as a dangerous dog.

I agree with you absolutely, Unan! Since I'm not young, there have been any number of times I've witnessed a dog being punished, screamed at, etc because the child was the one out of control and/or never given any instruction about what not to do - such as mess with a dog when its eating, pull its tail, its ears, and similar.

It always just made me sick when I saw the poor animal being treated like that, when they were only acting like dogs FGS!

I still know some people that expect their dog to act better than their aggravating children...which rest assured I would point out to them, leaving out the word aggravating, of course. lol
Surprisingly, (not) they weren't interested in hearing my thoughts on the matter. To be honest, I don't continue to be around people like that - after I see that kind of thing happening.
