Everyone is scalping tickets to the concert this weekend :bomb: :bigcry:

This is a big no no among true fans. But it sold out and no one wanted tickets a few weeks ago. Now everyone has figured out they have work off. But I did all I could for the ticket gods. I sold my extra less desirable seats for less then what I paid. But I hate to think of all the tickets in the hands of people who don't even like the band. They just saw a financial opportunity.

I like German cars....the best in the world.

their is mothing wrong with ticket speculating....people should have a chance to buy tickets at the last minute if they choose to and I have a right to charge mega bucks.....I don't scalp any more....but I have sold thousands of tickets...done 150 ticket block deals.......delivered lots of tickets straight from the promotors to other professional scalpers in paper bags.......when Michael Jackson came the promoto opened a special ticket office to handle all the ''friends'' that wanted tickets...they put the word out out that for 10 dollars you can get these special tickets....it was the first ''EVER'' surcharge by a promotor....my dad invented it :)

Ticket "speculating"...what an interesting term :D

I want to post more, but a persistent and insistent (and spoiled) black-bobtailed BB will NOT get out of my lap...a place she isn't usually interested in staying...her usual MO is to hop across me to more interesting areas where she can throw up...and then I can run around a clean it up pronto. gad

Now she is grooming to a fare thee well...

I'm going to have to come back later when I'm not having to type on this comp sideways...

That is where you and I disagree. It's just not done in this culture. It's supposed to be fans helping fans. You can't make a profit on something you did not create and rob someone else of the experience when they are just like you. People accept it more outside of certain bands I suppose. I've seen people give away plenty of tickets for free even. The "profit" comes from seeing the joy on the other person's face. Perhaps that sounds like idealistic crap to other people.

I have no problem with the idea of scalping. My problem comes from bullies that won't let others scalp on their corner. Free market is good but monopolies and threats are not.

    glad I could assist..

something weird with my carrots. tasting a little funny like dish soap. maybe its my imagination.

didnt have much time to tell this story this weekend.

but these fucking whitetrash motherfuckers across the street allowed their mastiff dog lay dying on the sidewalk saturday and then they want to talk some stupid shit "what are we suppose to do, we dont have money to have it put down" . so instead they leave the poor animal lay on the sidewalk for hours covered with flies.
they have money for spinner wheels and boom boxes but no money to take care of an animal that dying.
cant tell you the satisfaction Ill get one day beating the fuck out of the wigger piece of shit.
pray everyday that scumbag rolls his (not inspected not registered wigger mobile over a hillside and dies!
there is no animal control officers on the weekend. >?? why dont this city get enough fucking money in taxes .. finally the cops decided to take it to animal rescue league..

I see this as a huge deal. Now I remember when I worked in the work force properly and people would go home because their children were sick. Child neglecting is a serious crime and so is animal neglecting yet if someone says "I need to go home to care for my dog" they'd probably get laughed at and no work order is really going to take it seriously and let you go. Not that I can think of anyway. To me, my puppy means as much to me as any new mother and her child does to her. I know some people probably won't understand that, but it's true. :)

It's time people embrace the reality that caring for animals is a huge part of what makes us humane.

Yes I'm sure they would Irm. But if you went to the vet before going to work nobody around here would say anything. I would think many would say why are you leaving a sick dog at home for in the first place.

no the joy comes from the thousands of dollars I made helping people fulfill their dream of sitting in the front row.....I still get thanked for shows 20 years ago...that's how appreciative real fans are.....

the price of the ticket doesn't make a fan....you don't think deadhead doctors and deadheadhead lawyers are fans because they choose to buy 1000 dollar seats instead of sitting at home...that's ridiculous....

I wish I could think this might be true but I remember one day I wasn't even allowed to go to a friends fathers funeral because I "must work!". And every woman with a child got leave early to beat the traffic. And I remember thinking this is so unfair to the people who legitimately cannot have children. And I also remember one duty manager behind the bar had to have her dog put down. She couldn't have children and this dog was her life and they made her work. Luckily she did the graveyard with me and I'm awesome so I cheered her along the early mornings. This was like 6-7 years ago so maybe things have changed.

They will pay if they have to maybe but they won't be happy about it. A lot of them would not buy those tickets on principle. I've also seen that many times. Scalpers come and get laughed at until they give up. They are real fans because they would not do that to someone else but sometimes you have to accept people like you find the tickets.
