Money is not the root of all evil. Poverty, disease and suffering is. Yes, money should be phased out of our society, but it has to done right. Currently, we have different monetary systems for each country. What we must do is create a single monetary system for all countries (the euro for the European Union is a good start). Also, we have to create a single world government (a World Union) that uses this single monetary system. In this new society, every one is entitled to a minimum revenue (access for living space, acess for food, access for medical care, etc). This removes the poverty, suffering and illness plaguing humanity. Once science progresses whereas all work is done by robots (mechanical, biological, etc.) money won't be needed anymore and we can be free to pursue whatever we want. You can read more of this by downloading the free e-book "The message given by extraterrestrials" at the www.rael.org web site.

Yes, I am a Raelian and our eventual goal is to phase out money so people on this planet can focus on their self-fulfillment.

I found it funny that everyone that replied to this post that was against gave one line retort's with no arguments

Without money... There would still be crime, greed, etc..

all i saw was a lot of answers like that, the only person that made even a slight attempt at backing up his arguement was this

This is so dumb. Are you people so naive that you think that people would be less greedy if there were no little green pieces of paper? Things would still have value, and people would still want the comforts that money can buy.

    Now for my view:

i do still think there would be greed BUT possibly less of (in the sense with no standard currency it'd be more difficult to barter bad business and big corporate america). The real problem lies with humanity itself that doesn't desire generally until his neighbour has one. Every single one of us is guilty for this wether it be have the biggest/latest/greatest dope smoking tool, or who has the coolest whatever. Until human beings can learn to be happy with what we have were all fucked. So burn your possesions now...
