    my civic was a 99.

I think that's how it is for a lot of cars.

The 90s were a real sweet spot for japanese cars. Tech was good enough for good milage and great reliability, but not overwhelming and needlessly complex.

Every time something gets better, we need some new expensive and useless sensor or actuator somewhere else to make up for the improvement - because where would we be without our electronic truck-popper and tpms bullshit? And don't forget the electronic folding back seat and built-in dollar bill shredder.

    love 90 Japanese vehicles.

    im currently in a 97 4runner 5speed with 241,000 miles.

still runs great. I can see it going to 400,000 easy on normal replacement parts as long as I don't fuck something up.

We'll see I think she enjoys me on drugs though because I get pretty docile and spaced out which I guess is the opposite of my high drive go go go attitude I have when I'm sober and not lazy or hung over. =p she's always "are you have a smoke, are you going to the shed now?" Ohh shhii yes, yes brb.

Gonna take awhile for Erin to get used to the "new to me" coffee table... she doesn't like different. Gonna add a chair too... Really mess stuff up. [IMG]

most toyota will break a timing belt and you slap a new one in drive it away....volkwagen (diesel) will generally smash all the valves and waste an engine

i changed a belt this year on a jetta or golf because the owner was paranoid about it busting...kind of stupid the cam sprocket is on a taper with no key...retarded design

    Ahh, well screw that then.

Having an interference design with a belt is fucking stupid, imo.

I've got a 1995 hyundai accent. It's a complete piece of crap structurally but the engine sounds so nice. Plus it's a manual, I just can't drive anything else lol

That's a remote possibility here too.... For the most part they wouldn't care unless there was a complaint.

Went through the whole house fire rescue, cops and firemen knew about her and called the Humane society to come. Humane Society kept her for me for about a week. Vet checked her out after that. Nobody seemed to have any problems with it... But it is an animal listed as "game", open season all year. In theory you can't have an animal that it's legal to hunt, as a pet. They are more worried about people having bears, deer, etc. as pets.
