enjoying it. i need to explore more and educate myself on the public transportation/transportation options, though.

i may have a job for me with my sister roasting coffee, which would be cool and would take care of a lot of transport issues.

i went to my first 'real' fest last weekend, which was pretty awesome considering my circumstances.

i'm going to my second fest on friday in new mexico. i'm hoping that it isn't going to be too overwhelmingly spiritual. the last one was literally ALL electronic and jammed 40 hours of music into 48 hours of fest-time...that was totally unexpected and very very cool. i even got to hang out with one of the performing DJs (probably the best set too)

this dude played at like 3AM and set up his tables on the dancefloor and everyone was dancing around him and he was just jamming the fuck out playing some crunchy ass beats. it was such a surreal feeling to have the performer on the same level, nearly full moon up, and a handful of the extreme festival goers mobbed around. it felt like this guy was pulling in the energy of everyone around him and he was just this pyre of expression.

by the end of the fest at around 3pm when the sun was blazing down and everyone seemed to be in a sleep-deprived, drug induced, dehydrated and energy sapped delirium, the music was just a drone of noises. it made it a much more dramatic experience to have music playing literally around the clock for two days.
