I just wanted to touch on this a bit.

Many people use brain chemistry and the like to dismiss a belief in God as some accident of evolution that makes people believe in God, even though God doesn’t exist. The problem I have with that is, if evolution is based on survival of the fittest, how does a belief in God make humans more fit for survival, if there is no God?

Animals survive just fine without a belief in God and a belief in God is nowhere found in the animal kingdom, so where did it come from? The very study of chemistry and the like seems to say that a belief in God is almost hardwired in to us and yet Evolution gives no good explanation why. It doesn’t come from our “ancestors” the animals and there is no good reason for it to have evolved since, as I stated, without a actual God it does not seem to affect our chances for survival positively.

Actual God is the experience of my own nature, i, e. created in the likeness and image.
Belief in God is a poor substitute.

God just is. Sure, it sounds a bit like Asian philosophy, but He said it himself: "I AM."
