I always hope for people on game shows to win the big prize. Unless they act like assholes it's strange hoping someone loses a lot of money just because they say a couple things that I disagree with.

I LOVE SG-1. My mother even likes it!! lol She called Samantha "Sam" Carter (Amanda Tapping) "that pretty girl"...Where is the pretty girl, she'll say on the rare episode she isn't there. She likes Teal'c (I <3 Teal'c) and calls him "the round face man".

When the SG-1 channel goes out (very rarely) I immediately start re-scanning until 40-2 comes back in. lol

they usualy go to McDonald's. ha Several people used to insist on Cheeseburgers with no cheese...when I suggested Hamburgers, they insisted the cheeseburgert meat was better. IT IS THE SAME MEAT. lol

I broke my ankle 4 yrs ago yesterday. It seems like a much longer time ago than that, at times yet my memory is like it was yesterday.

Why the hell can I remember bizarre and/or bad times quickly and vividly?

I never walked down those steps again with anything but a hoe to kill the basement snakes..., over a year before I'd go down those stairs period.

I feel very lucky that the only thing wrong (currently and for a while) is being unmotivated. lol Only my mouth gives me problems I can't do anything about. (both dental and otherwise ;) )

    so yay

I know the meat is the same. That's why it was funny. But I get the idea that it's better. If you get a bacon cheeseburger and take off the bacon you get the bacon juice. So it seems like the meat is better. But if you never put the bacon on in the first place...well nobody said those people are smart.

It's easy for me to remember when I broke my ankle. I just purchased my car and a month later I couldn't drive it. Despite gas being 99 cents because 911 just happened.

ah hell...I broke my ankle August 4, and had just gotten my Crown in May.

I'm not getting another one...not anytime soon. She drives well, looks good etc.

She'd look REAL GOOD if I'd wash it.

when i was a kid one of my favourite things to do was take the garden hose and use it to drill holes in the yard

    my dad hated that

one time i got about 30 feet down (not straight down of course..it goes wherever it wants to)

beef eye of round was on sale last week

i bought 2 whole and just finished slicing up one into jerky pieces....trying a new recipe with lots of garlic seasoning and smoked paprika....i think the paprika will be more or a coloring than a flavouring but we'lll see how it turns out...looks tasty so far (needs to sit a day or 2 before i run it thru the dehydrator)

i like to cut it across the grain ...easier on the choppers that way

Smoked paprika can add a lot of flavour. Sounds like a good combination!

well i hope i like the flavour then because i added a lot

i know its used in hungarian sausage but i never really noticed any flavour to it

ive always used liquid smoke so i figured it will just add to the smoke taste

I think you probably will. It is like a bit of mild chilli flavour with a bit of smoked taste like bacon.

Tonight I stood in front of my garage and had a moment to reflect about things.

When I first moved into my house we spent the first minutes in the garage as we moved everything from our friends trucks and vans into the garage and lined it on the floor.

Tonight I stood in the same place, 2.5 years older. I just turned a year older last week and although I can scream black and blue that I haven't grown up, standing outside tonight I definitely felt different. I wasn't the same person I was when I bought this place. I felt older, wiser... not so much mature, but some form of mature.

I guess it stems down to selling my car and thinking about all the fun times I had in the thing. In that era of that car and this house I've learned a lot about myself and I've made movements in my life to sort of come out of my shell a little bit similar to saying "I'm too old for this shit" but I'd like still take the shit. You know? Well I wanted to be stronger than that, I needed to be stronger than that.

I don't know why I have a drive in me to make everybody happy. Well, I had that drive, but I've lost it now and I'm gracious I have lost it because well basically, I'm too old for that shit! Lol. And I got no time for that shit either.

So the reflection tonight was a realization of change. Change that had to happen and has happened but all in an advancement for and of my life.

    I'm happy right now. :)
