im no fan of doctors and hospitals either, but you have to know when you need to go. my dad hates going to the doctor too. he had to be forced to go in when he had pneumonia. he was breathing with a quarter of one lung. doc told my mom that she was nearly a widow. he was just trying to nyquil and sleep it off, like most other sicknesses. but you cant fuck with pneumonia. and jaundice is a pretty easy sign to spot that you need care.

My breakfast went quite well this morning. 2.5hrs. Think miss felt old she realised she was oldest there lol. She thought the husband was older until he called his wife the old one. My Laura says this is new territory because we usually with older people.

i love meeting old friends..i also hate it though

its good to remember the times but it sucks to see that they got so old (because then we realize we got old too)

If you go to the Dr. They will just poke you until they find something wrong.

I had to be forced into an ER even when I cut my wrist open on a chainsaw. I figured it would stop bleeding eventually, it did not. Males don't like doctors.

not mine...to him i was just a visit he could blast thru without doing anything to help...but charge the government for of course

patients to him were just a billable obstruction to his day

he's retired now ...i hope he dies before me

I wonder if that's because ofour different healthcare systems.

    probably

up here they get paid flat rate basically from what i understand...

i figure mine was after maximum visit claims because no matter what you went for you were always sent for tests and told to make a new appointment ...

then youd get the brush off and/or sent for more tests and make more appointments....

I might be dead if that was my doc. My stones kept me from peeing on the day before new years eve. He pushed aside almost his whole day (which he was booked solid) to see me then operate on me to remove them.

Edit: my bad day after new years.

    Sure thing, ML.

    That's a bad situation.

Before my time, my dad almost died from a ruptured appendix because he was drunk and refused to go to the doctor.

thanks. im just so frustrated that there is so little i can do. i told a friend of ours as well. estranged from the rest of "the group" but our families still hang out. they used to be really close, and even if they arent going to reconcile, i couldnt not tell him. he cares. hes sad at the loss of the friendship. so i might have set some bridges alight by doing what i feel morally compelled to do. i always do what i will regret the least. i can feel it though, that stark choice. tell who you need to, and be judged for doing what your heart tells you is good and right, or keep your mouth shut and be as bereft of understanding as most people are, and expect others to be.
