It does suck when you see something you want and have to wait a week until you see if you get it. But if it isn't something important you can get it cheap sometimes.

The son still gives this address as his mailing address to receive his stuff...since we're literally always here.

lol for the very most part. He will let me know he is expecting a package in the next 3 days because he has this Amazon Prime. Or maybe its 2 days, Anyway...that package is 100% here the next day or early the 2nd day, never even as late as noon on the 2nd day. He's ordered a lot of car parts, and it impresses the hell outta me with how rapid they are! The packages are in good condition. etc. I personally have used Amazon for a load of stuff

Anyway, Amazon does excellent shipping in the US.

 

Similar happened with my Father when his AC quit on a 90+ degree day, he called "someplace" and made an "appointment".... He didn't remember who... but "someone was going to be there Tuesday or Wednesday".... once we had figured out who it was and my sister called we found out he had talked to an answering machine and there was no appointment. Dad doesn't have problems hearing though...

 

He (the son) lost my damn vacuum cleaner parts during the last borrowing. He doesn't know it yet, but he's going to order me some more, some pieces or accessories on the Pet Hoover Vac to make up for that which disappeared and neither of us can locate. It'll be for my birthday or Christmas. lol

 

Oh my Ty, the not hearing part is unreal. Its like it seems there is never a point that is stranger or more surreal or WORSE OR HARDER than any other point. Life, everything it seems, gets to a really this is funny and awful moment. And I have found myself literally LAUGHING out LOUD in the midst of some of the "worse/strangest" moments when I've finally (to get my point across) did the what I call singing putting my voice at a higher register - not louder - and sometimes she hears it.

amazon warehouse is only over the hill from me.. dont know what they all have in there, but once worked in that building when I was a teen, its huge.. can imagine they have lots of stuff there..

 

some of these newer companies have smart computer programs that make it very hard to tell if youre talking to a real person

you have to listen for the dead space between questions ...and if you ask them if they are a person or a computer they will answer something scripted like "i am a person but use a computer for assistance" or something like that...its been awhile i dont remember the exact phrase they use...but as soon as i hear that answer i ask it again and if it repeats i hang up

 

hell when they start looking, it makes it worse for me and I laugh worse.

I mean...c'mon what the hell is the big deal with a real old lady (96 3/4) and another younger old lady (59) and the old lady is a little confused and slower.

But anyway, as long as she wants to walk or do stuff and she is able (she is!) we'll go out. There are some really super nice clerks too, some nice people...word

The rest of the time, its easier and harder that I thought.

 

I will not talk to a computer, other than leave a message that a human said and that I called.

That's what this online stuff is for I thought. lol

 

ask the person what kind of cookies they like .. if it pauses and say Im sorry I didnt get that. its a bot..

Yes! I'm sure of it - RidIt or something. I've used it in yrs past and I promise I can remember there being a difference --:2thumbsup: but I think you need to do it with some regularity, which I have not been doingl Its supposedly "organic powder" like stuff that eats other "organic matter". idk But I haven't done it lately. :/ and its beyond that now, I'm certain.

good grief and lord have mercy but I should have been doing that 4 to 6 months ago, and regularly...but I haven't. I would tell Mama but she would have an episode if she knew I had ever put anything down there. She "caught" me one time putting it down the toilet and flushing it. OMG. smh -

you would have thought I had cut up body parts in BIG pieces and been trying to flush it.

lol I showed her the box to read...she reads well. That was waste of everybody's time.

Anyway, I've got to just damn slip around and do it. period. I can do that...but I first gotta get it fixed with Mama in the middleofeverything just like that. :wall: lol
