Just looking at the hard cover for my truck that's getting installed on Friday. So I didn't even want it but it came free, I haggled it so may as well have it installed. I think I'll get them to fix all the components but to leave the actual cover off because I just don't see me using it at the moment and when we want to boy to ride well we need to take it off. The instructions look very fiddly with the install but once they're all set in place the removal of the hard cover is quite easy.

I've been trying to search this for 15mins!! Cannot find an answer. I just don't feel like I should pester the eBay seller with dumb questions.

 

There's nothing wrong with having a vision of the future you want like that. Just be prepared to "go with the flow" because you will find out that not everything will turn out as planned. If you try to force things to fit your vision and they don't... well that can cause depression too.

That is such a cool walrus!!! I had no idea they could make all those different noises, much less they could be taught to do the various vocalizations! I watched it several times...and I am NOT easily amused.

Excellent news on the "water" in the basement front. The "water" REALLY was just water! :hurray: The line that the washing machine and sink in the basement uses had gotten covered up and bogged. After significant physical work...the dude and his son went home and got one of the little fancy loader thingies and came back. They used that to do a lot of digging up and moving of earth! They were able to do in an hour what would have taken me...FOREVER! Anyway, that is all wonderful...plus I am learning more and more stuff that I need to be doing to "keep things up" here.

For so many years Mama did all of that and never once wanted anybody to help her do squat!!! If she was asked if she wanted help, she would walk off and point to a pile of sticks she wanted carried away or something similar. lol Sometimes (not always) she would accept help with the grass cutting but that was IT. Well as time has passed and I worked, I not only got used to her doing things, I didn't even realize what all has to be kept up and done. I don't know if she has forgotten or what...but she has never pointed out what the plumber and I talked about today. Add in the fact that I definitely remember in years past seeing her do just what the plumber did. Of course I had honestly forgotten her doing what I'm talking about, and since she never explained to me wth she was doing, I really didn't know.

I know now. lol That goes on my list of duties.

 

Tractor I bought last year is leaking quite a bit of oil... Don't have time to tear the engine down until the end of the season though.

 

i have a very generalized "vision" of the future. but honestly, everything tends to go to shit as soon as any attempt is made to move forward.

time stamps ever onward. i want to make and sell stuff, and live away from most people on a hobby farm. semi-self sufficient.

in the meantime im just trying to raise decent kids in a society that doesnt value that. go me.

Polar bear Nora was born at the Columbus Zoo this year. On Labor Day she will be moving to Oregon Seattle zoo.

My mom has a long rope and a leash in her yard for her dog. 90% of the time the dog will sit in that spot. But hook the leash to her collar and she will yank it and try to get it off.

 

I just bought a short leash and harness. 30" should be okay for him to walk around the tray but not jump off it. I wanted buy from Cabelas online store but they kept saying I lived in a restricted area and would not ship. I get not shipping the guns etc. but a dog leash? C'mon, unless it's different safety standards etc. which seems unlikely. I've bought archery stuff from them before. Little disappointing. But I found a cheap online store close by with free shipping so that worked out.

I think a job like working the Walrus would be cool. But usualy that means working at Sea World or something. I went there as a kid and thought it was amazing. I even got picked out of the crowd to come on stage and tell the dolphins to do some tricks. But now that I am older I feel bad for them espeicly the killer whales.

I noticed one of my friends was only responding to me when i would initiate contact...they would never try to have conversation or emails or anything unless responding

so i decided to stay quiet and then just forget about them if i dont hear anything for a year
