Usually it is hotter outside than in my house. Holy shit not today. I gotta get me a thermometer upstairs and see what it is.
I go up for one minute and I sweat a cup of water without any moving around.

I have 2 nice jats with sweat stains...I got tired of not taking them to a dry cleaner and tossed'em in the washer....they weren't helping me on the shelf gathering dust

I had to unexpectedly run out to see my Father today, when I got back home it was 88 degrees inside the house...

It's now 87 thanks to being able to open all the doors.

Yeah this house was designed for amazing passive cooling, but not designed for one of these "heat dome" weather deals.... They didn't have them back in the old days.

There is still one design element on the blueprints that has been blocked off... I need to get working on that, I know it would help the airflow a lot.

A one day high temp, not the same as 6-7 days in the 90's with overnight temps above 75.

when i build it will be with all the passive technology of former generations, combined with modern advancements. you used to be able to fling open the windows and cool everything down. my house is all blocking walls. there is no cross breeze. zero, zip, nada. ugh. you cant even place a fan in a good place.

Did you know the Egyptians understood the principals of air conditioning. however they had no way to remove the heat. But they did understand passing spirits /alcohol through copper tubing and passing air over it. They are not credited for it tho. Rome stole the idea lol,, using cooling tubes in the flooring, and walls passing water through it..

Egyptians also had a working battery system I think. Maybe the Sumerians, but depicted in glyphs in the pyramids. The battery could charge to make a light which is said to have been used to write glyphs in the parts that are completely void of light. Scientists would have you believe that they set up 40,000 mirrors reflecting the sun though. This doesn't work for me for one reason. The earth moves around the sun quite fast, there'd have to have been hundred of people slowly moving mirrors about to create that light channel. No thanks. It was a battery light system! Considering the pyramids are thought to now be giant hydrogen plants or something, a battery system seems fairly tame for those standards.

    Aliens. :)

One "problem" I have is most of my ventilation comes from having sliding glass doors open... Although this works really well, I can't leave them open when I'm not at home. This house doesn't have a lot of traditional windows. It has A LOT of windows, but they are huge non opening types for the most part.

I was just watching a show that mentioned about how people long ago did something. My first thought was people will say it's alien's. No people were smart back then they were smart enough to build pyramids and use wheels and chart the stars and figure out what different elements do. If alien's were ever involved in technology it would be present day. Only aliens could turn on a TV from my couch by using a plastic stick with buttons on it. Or blow up entire cities with a small bomb.or put cheese in a can.
So yeah maybe aliens changed our world but they didn't do it until after the 50s.

Sounds like my problem now that there are window units in all but one living room window and one bathroom window.
