"Might have", that is, if he were elected, which he probably wouldn't be--leaving us with only "Trump's big, beautiful, inexpensive healthcare for all"--like a voucher to Trump University.

You only need the number of deaths to approximate the number of cases if you know the death rate, which the WHO says is 4.3% &Trump said he has a hunch is less than 1%. The initial estimate, based on China's experience, was 2%. Your point seems to be that the U.S.--with plenty of advanced notice--has "way, way, way fewer deaths" than China, caught off guard and initially resisting the reality of the problem, over the same period. China has a denser population and a lower standard of sanitation. So what? The question is: can the damned thing eventually be effectively contained here, and the answer, so far, seems to be no. We're way, way, way behind South Korea in the kits. And your statement that the kits are "just a bunch of plastic vials with reactants and chemical extractors" shows ignorance--like saying that penicillin is just a bunch of mold or latex gloves are just a lot of plastic. If the Orange man gets credit for all the conflicting information he and his administration have been putting out, he'll prove that he's the All Time, World Class Con Man of human history!

Trump blames the CDC and Biden.

Trump condemns CDC for lack of coronavirus testing, blames Obama
The president called the past administration's response to the swine flu, H1N1, pandemic a "full-scale disaster."

I watched Fauci testify before congress. He said ordinary flu has a mortality rate of 0.01% and Coronavirus has a rate of TEN TIMES THAT. That would be above 1 percent. By March 13 the USA stats were 1663 cases and 41 deaths. So the comes to 0.0246 % in the USA. In other countries, like Italy it is higher.

It should be rather obvious at this point there’s nothing Trump could do or say to change VG’s opinion of him. VG is in love.

The other night during the most important speech of his Presidency Trump was stumbling his words and could barely complete a sentence.

Trump was reading from a teleprompter yet he still managed to get most of the facts wrong. How is that even possible, I don’t know?

And yet just a few days ago Trump said anyone who needs a test can be tested, He needs to keep his lies straight.

Trump also doesn't have any difficulties declaring fake national emergencies to protect himself from his perceived threats.

In 2017 in an attempt to fund his border wall, Trump proposed a budget that involved cutting funds for the Appalachian project which would have heavily damaged people who he claims to be his constituents.

He is reluctant to acknowledge a real crisis, which would have freed funds to assist the downtrodden that he claims he wants to help.

Trump administration blocks states from using Medicaid to respond to coronavirus crisis

    excerpt:

"One reason federal health officials have not acted appears to be President Trump’s reluctance to declare a national emergency. That’s a key step that would clear the way for states to get Medicaid waivers to more nimbly tackle coronavirus, but it would conflict with Trump’s repeated efforts to downplay the seriousness of the epidemic."

Trump claims that his border wall will protect the U.S. from viruses.

This is the border wall that he tried to fund by cutting, among other programs, the Appalachian project which assists the lower income, for the sake of his fake national emergency.

He later ignored a real emergency caused by a virus. He refuses to declare an emergency that would make funds available to his downtrodden constituents who are the least able to defend themselves .

Reportedly, the speech was written by his "brain trust" of Jared Kushner and Stephen Miller. Does that answer your question?

it seems the left are the only ones in a panic , or are spreading panic , politicizing corona virus to use as a weapon against Trump . we are the only ones who can protect ourselves . waiting for someone or something to help or protect us is not a good idea . and some people will not protect others when they have an illness . they walk around in public spreading disease , when they should stay indoors and avoid contact . but , the left can infect themselves all they want in my opinion :)

Aren't you the one trying to politicize this issue with your left-right rhetoric? How do you go about protecting yourself without reliable information? How do individuals solve problems that depend on coordinated response? You say people who are infected should stay indoors, but how do they know whether or not they are? And what if they don't? Who is to tell them what to do?Face it, most of us are just winging it, and you're flying by the seat of your pants.

I had my group of MAGA friends over last night. One just got back from a flight from Florida visiting family. I passed out sanitary wipes. Some used them. He didn't, and was dipping into the chips. I threw those away after he left, but other than that, I'll wait and see. Goin' to a Chinese restaurant with my wife and another group this evening. I guess I feel lucky!

Luck has nothing to do with it.

Avoiding contact has EVERYTHING to do with this.

Keep on spreading that disinformation and see how that protects you from getting sick.

Well, about 12,000 people in the US did die from it, just that social media wasn't entrenched enough in our daily lives so we could all scare the crap out of each other

I guess he will be looking for a new job.

So it takes two idiots to write a speech. Normally, it takes only one person with some intelligence to write a speech.

right wingers are the true snowflakes.

    Keep going.

Remember how this little Segway started, I said, weeks ago, it wasn't going to spread in the US anywhere near the rate it did in China

2%,3% death rate, 1000 cases, 5000 cases...whatever...still nowhere near the 80,000 cases China was at 8 weeks in

    So that happened

But let's all keep in our own little world's where everything is about the Orange man, nothing is real unless we can whine about the Orange man
