Repeat: China was caught off-guard, as the initial country experiencing the outbreak. The initial reaction of their totalitarian government was denial and suppression of "alarmist" information. The populace doesn't have the same sanitary standards as we do. We, with advanced warning, responded with conflicting information. Our Prez's first response, like China's, was denial, so with advance warning we were still foot dragging, and we are still way, way, way behind South Korea in testing, which is a first step toward an effective response. A slower rate of spread buys time. Let's hope we can take advantage of it. We have the disadvantages of :a public health system weakened by budget cuts, lack of a national care health system, and lack of the paid leave that people in other industrial countries enjoy. We'll see how well we get through it all.

All the stores in northern Indiana are out of TP, wipes, soap. frozen vegetables, eggs, bacon, butter, bread, canned food of all sorts including canned meats. The lines at the cashier were twice as long as ordinary.

 

Maybe if we had taken more precautions, fewer would have died.

I think these are some fair questions at this point in time:: To those that admire trump:: He's a known liar. Do you then lie to people in your lives as a matter of course as he does? He has made "fun"of people much less fortunate than himself. "oh, I don't know what I said", concerning the afflicted reporter. So --do you feel the same concerning afflicted people? Would you or do you make "fun"of them? He's an admitted sexual predator--is that good and decent behavior in your world? He claims to be a successful business man and yet almost everything he's tried ( steaks, alcohol, casinos, a rip off school that he paid 25 million to keep from going to court over)-has failed. -is that proper behavior? )He calls people bad and nasty and crooked on a regular basis not anywhere connected to fact. Do you people do anything similar? He refuses to pay people that do work for him--Do you trump admirers do that to contractors and others in your lives and think it's the right thing to do? Do you cheat on your mates? Do you admire that he has and does? Do you? My opinion is that I think most people might feel a tad ashamed to admit to admiring a person like this. Unless perhaps they share some or all of these characteristics. It's a conundrum wrapped in an enigma to me. I don't get the admiration and there's no way I can possibly do so. Because I. DO NOT. SHARE. THESE. TRAITS. Ya'-all come back now--ya' hear? I sincerely want some answers.
