The anti-vaccine truth groups will be against that also, claiming that the vaccine causes the disease. Trump made remarks while running for office that chime with the anti-vaccine groups.
Trump is still retaliating against Obama for the 2011 White House Correspondents' Association dinner where Obama did a comedy roast of Trump. The latest round of retaliation is Trump not allowing the ACA enrollment to be reactivated. Unfortunately, the comedy at the dinner later turned out to be the reality of the Trump administration.
The 9 most important unanswered questions about Covid-19 Is reinfection possible? Will it be seasonal? How prevalent is it really? These are some of the top questions on researchers’ minds. By Brian Resnick Mar 20, 2020, 9:10am EDT The 9 most important unanswered questions about Covid-19 excerpt: "Studies on humans will come in time. Researchers will be able to test the blood of people who have recovered from Covid-19 in the weeks and months following their infection and see if they still are immune. But even if people do become immune, “one thing we don’t know about that still is how long that immunity would last,” Rasmussen says. “And that’s unfortunately not something we can determine until we wait months or years in the future, and test again and see if those antibodies are still there.” For coronaviruses that cause the common cold (in the same family of viruses as the one that causes Covid-19), she says, reinfection is possible, but on a timescale of years, not weeks or months. Again, we’re going to have to wait and see if this also applies to Covid-19. For now, at least, Rasmussen says, “I have not seen any data that is convincing that reinfection occurs.”"
The reality of the Trump administration turned out to be even more absurd than the comedy at the dinner and dangerous rather than innocuous.

Wartime Production Law Has Been Used Routinely, but Not With Coronavirus The Defense Production Act has been invoked hundreds of thousands of times in the Trump years. But with the pandemic, the president sees it as a “break the glass” last resort. By Zolan Kanno-Youngs and Ana Swanson Published March 31, 2020 Updated April 1, 2020, 8:28 a.m. ET Wartime Production Law Has Been Used Routinely, but Not With Coronavirus excerpt: "WASHINGTON — Chemicals used to construct military missiles. Materials needed to build drones. Body armor for agents patrolling the southwest border. Equipment for natural disaster response. A Korean War-era law called the Defense Production Act has been used to place hundreds of thousands of orders by President Trump and his administration to ensure the procurement of vital equipment, according to reports submitted to Congress and interviews with former government officials. Yet as governors and members of Congress plead with the president to use the law to force the production of ventilators and other medical equipment to combat the coronavirus pandemic, he has for weeks treated it like a “break the glass” last resort, to be invoked only when all else fails. “You know, we’re a country not based on nationalizing our business,” Mr. Trump said earlier this month. “Call a person over in Venezuela, ask them how did nationalization of their businesses work out? Not too well.”"
This is the new talking point for Trump voters. When its proven to be real and not a hoax the only step they can take is to say "Ok but because of him it's not even that bad". They have even gotten to blaming Obama. I thought that would take until there was really a depression. Right now people have hope they might work again a few weeks.
Trump did as well as Fox news. You can take it two ways 1. the virus is real but not that bad 2. The virus is not real period he said both so his cult can pick the one they like
Boomer propaganda The catch-22 with the testing and the US's impressive catch up with the testing, is that in a month, testing with be readily available for younger workers to get back to work and test them weekly for immunity
Well, let's wait till the 15th April, that's supposed to be peak day for the US Italy and Spain had their first case 9 and 10 days after the US We are already kind of there, Germany and US should already be reporting a lot more deaths if they are going to go the same way as Italy. Hell, even Iran handled it better And it seems now we have to use other methods to work out what China's death toll actually was
This is why I put vg on ignore. I got tired of his bullshit. Been saying this to anyone who listens. In his infantile personality, he can't let go of supposed dismissals of him.
Both Trump and his voters seem upset Obama existed. From each I have gotten the vibe they expected more to change. That's why he's so cool he ended Democrats. Since 2016 it's easy to use whatever bathroom you want, it's illegal to own ar-15's in some cities, and the FBI is paying more attention to Republican militias than ISIS. Obama ranked higher than Trump on a most respected persons list years after he left office. All this sticks in their craw as the southern expression goes. They said the same thing when Obama was president about Republicans. After Palin people thought will they have to change. No way this level of stupidity survives. Well it did.
Both Trump and Bolsonaro have trivialized the seriousness of this virus (and if we're talking non leaders: you as well. Congrats).
I won't argue with you so much on that, because the full economic impact we won't see for 6-24 months And well, Europe .....oi.... cringe....
Alex Azar is the head of the HHS. Trump replaced him with Pence to be the health czar at the press briefings.
Trump has much more to be concerned about now with the coronavirus than trying to garner a political soundbite for the 2020 election, such as trying to lower the prices of select drugs by importing them from Canada. Trump is desperately trying to find a ploy to use in the 2020 election that he can claim as a a healthcare achievement. The same can be said about infrastructure and the opioid crisis where he has little to show. In contrast to railing against the stock market like he did in 2016 as a show of support for his left-behinders, Trump has coddled the stock market in the midst of a virus health crisis to an extent that exacerbated it greatly. He has rendered his administration empty yet again, leaving him to say that he's supposedly a success for trying to minimize the damage he did by not acting soon enough on the virus. It's exemplified by the trade war cartoon of Trump handing the farmer on the tractor a tire pump after Trump punctured the tire with a pitchfork. Trump lashes out at HHS secretary after briefing shows Democrats leading on health care By Josh Dawsey and Yasmeen Abutaleb Jan. 17, 2020 at 5:10 p.m. EST https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...ad2eae-3972-11ea-bf30-ad313e4ec754_story.html excerpt: "Trump reacted furiously and said the Democrats would “kill us” on health care, according to the four people, who requested anonymity to candidly describe the private meeting. The president then picked up the phone, called Azar and put him on speakerphone in the middle of the meeting, the people said. “You’re not getting it done,” Trump told Azar, referring to lowering drug prices, according to one of the people in the meeting and another briefed on the discussion. He told Azar he needed to “hurry up” on lowering drug prices and more quickly allow for the importation of drugs from Canada. “Why aren’t we getting these drugs from Canada?”"
