NEW YORK (AP) — Now it’s apparent where many of President Donald Trump’s supporters who stayed away from Saturday’s campaign rally in Tulsa, Oklahoma, were instead: they were home watching it on television.

Fox News Channel, which aired Trump’s speech live, had the biggest Saturday night audience in the network’s 24-year history, the Nielsen company said. During Trump’s address at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Fox had 8.2 million people watching.

CNN and MSNBC aired only clips of Trump talking, yet each news network had about twice as many viewers as they normally get on Saturday nights. Collectively, the three networks had nearly 12 million viewers for its Trump coverage, Nielsen said

Kellyanne Conway didn't either. She mistakenly thought that there were 18 previous COVID diseases and blamed the WHO for not being on top of the situation with COVID-19 after (in her mind) 18 previous ones.

Trump's interests are rally attendance, TV ratings, trying to downplay the virus, and using bigoted terms such as Kung-Flu.

Kellyanne Conway is trying to justify Trump's use of terms such as Kung Flu by claiming that China wasn't forthright enough about the virus and that therefore it is deserving of having racist or bigoted names pinned on it.

Conway's children are part Asian. George Conway is of Filipino descent.

Fauci testified to Congress on Tuesday.

Trump was frustrated with an NIH grant that was affiliated with a research group in China. The grant had been active since 2014 and had produced excellent peer-reviewed results, which is part of why it was renewed in 2019.

Trump ended the grant on April 24. The NIH gave a vague explanation for the termination.

It’s a shame to make the science so complicated.”

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) released a statement Wednesday saying that such orders to cancel funding “will undermine the integrity of science funding and public trust.
